Hotel D-Elegant

This is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area. There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers. Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.

We were in Dubrovnik for 3 days and we stayed in D-Elegant hotel. I really appreciated the kindness of the staff trying to help you. The room was clean and spacious. What it is also nice you have the bus stop just in the back of the hotel. I really recommend for the location close to the marina. A nice place to stay if you want to spend time in Dubrovnik at a reasonable price

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, hot, high-pressure shower. Convenient location to take the number 6 bus straight to Old Town, but be aware the bus is VERY crowded even in mid September. Avoid during peak season as I think this would be a nightmare. €2.50 one way, runs every 15 mins, 20-30 mins ish. Can pay by card on the bus. Taxis to old town approx €20 one way. Walking 1 hour +. Free parking at the hotel, but the rest of Dubrovnik is a nightmare, so probably not worth renting a car unless you’re travelling outside the city. 15 - 20 mins walk to several nearby beaches (stoney, no deck chairs to rent off-season that we could find). 15 mins walk to some restaurants by the harbour, but an uphill walk back to the hotel. Slightly underwhelming breakfast in terms of quality, but a good selection which was kept topped up by attentive staff. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Me and my friends had an amazing time staying at D-Elegant. Our rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast was great and had plenty of choices as well. Location was great and it's only a few minutes walk from the beach. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants in walking distance as well. Overall we would highly recommend D-Elegant to everyone.

We had most amazing stay in Dubrovnik for our anniversary and hope to return next year! We loved the location, calm and relaxing place outside of the Old Town. The beaches are very closed, a few minutes by walk! Good room, modern, clean, comfortable, the view was nice. Delicious breakfast with plenty of options and restocked frequently. Entire staff was very professional, helpful and friendy at the same time.  

We booked 3 nights at the hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff was very hospitable and pleasant. The rooms were cozy and quite spacious. Breakfast was good. For me the beach vicinity trumps everything else, walking distance( app 6 min) Also a plethora of restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel offers massages aswell. We had one on our last day and it is beyond good Big thumbs up. It's great!!

We stayed here during june hoping to have a nice beach holiday, glad to write its worth coming here, the sea is warm, not very warm but ok for swimming. Hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach but the rooms do not have a sea view. From some parts you can see the bridge and thats it. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, we recommend this place for a quiet and relaxing holiday, its very peaceful
