BEWARE! Between ******* and Mintrops there is a 2 tier price. We booked well in advance. We thought we were getting luxury room because of the nighty rate of approx. $340. When we got to our room, it was very normal room,1bed and a small balcony overlooking a parking lot. I checked with the desk to see if we had the right room. They said yes. I asked the current rate.. $128 a night! Shocked, I called *******. They were responsive and refunded their portion $200 for 2 nights

We had the perfect suite for a family of four, large double bedroom, second bedroom with double bed sofa and a two part bathroom with shower and separate bath. For the adults the breakfast was fine but for the children it was missing the basics. We didn’t try the restaurant in the evening but it looked very popular and was busy most nights we were there. The location was fantastic and parking was easy, right outside in the market square, also free. Would highly recommend a visit.

Very cute hotel in a very charming plaza. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is very good with amazing food and service. The hotel staff is amazing, paramount and super nice and ready to help you when you need it and I needed it.

Nettes Hotel in einer charmanten und fast nostalgischen Umgebung. Freundliches Personal und es blieben keine Wünsche offen. Wunderbar empfanden wir auch, dass die Zimmer einen kleinen Kühlschrank/Minibar hatten und man sich am Abend auf die kleine, schnucklige Terrasse setzen konnte um ein schönes Glas Wein zu trinken

Tollen Service und leckeres Essen erwartet man nicht nur, sondern man bekommt es auch. Das Personal ist durchweg professionell und hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Restaurant ist eine Wucht und es gibt neben der normalen Speisekarte auch noch eine Vielzahl an Empfehlungen mit tagesfrischem Fisch. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenso reichhaltig und toll mit einer separaten Eierstation, an welcher ein netter Herr jeden Morgen frische Omeletts und Spiegeleier gemacht hat. Wir werden dieses wunderbare Hotel gerne weiterempfehlen und mit Sicherheit wieder kommen.

Abzocke pur! Wir buchen garantiert nicht mehr im Mintrops Stadt Hotel in Essen. Das sogenannte Garten-Eckzimmer, das in der Bestätigung aufgeführt war, gab den Blick auf einen betonierten Fußweg frei, gegenüber standen Häuser. Wo ist der Garten? Wie lassen sich die Zimmerpreise erklären? (*********** 107 € / DZ), bei Direktbuchung im Hotel 149 € / DZ ohne Frühstück selbstverständlich! Die Zimmer für 149,00 € sind nichts besonderes und das Frühstück ist eine Zumutung! Da stand tatsächlich eine Schüssel mit Gemüse am Buffet und jeder Gast musste selbst von Karotten, Gurke, Tomaten oder sogar Paprikaschoten selber abschneiden! Jeder Gast nimmt das Gemüse in die Hand und säbelt daran herum. Genauso ist es beim Obst. Gehts noch? Es dauerte alles ewig lange, bis ein Gast eine ganze Paprika aufgeschnitten und geputzt hatte. Die Kerne und Zwischenwände lagen wahllos daneben. Bei einem Frühstück für 22,90 € / Person erwarte ich etwas anderes, nämlich dass Obst und Gemüse vom Personal in der Küche vorgeschnitten und auf Platten angeboten werden. Dafür wurden exakt 8 Wurstscheiben nebeneinander liegend auf eine großen Platte präsentiert, etwas Schinken separat und Käse gab es keinen mehr. Es wurde nicht nachgefüllt, das Personal war kaum imstande, die benutzten Tische abzuräumen. Von der Akustik im Frühstücksraum ganz zu schweigen. Lärm pur. Das alles war nichts Schönes.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig.
