Holiday Inn - the niu, COBBLES ESSEN by IHG
"Very nice hotel in Essen, Germay, I highly recommend this brand new place."
Atlantic Congress Hotel Essen
"The location is excellent. The room is large and well-equipped. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is not very good. I was woken up by the sound of the door closing next door in the morning and the floor felt a little shaken."
Garner Hotel ESSEN - MESSE by IHG
"Everything was very nice except for the beds as a couple. Who's nice when it's one mattress and not two? They always fall apart!"
Garner Hotel ESSEN - HANDELSHOF by IHG
"Stayed at this hotel before and had a pleasant stay. Really convenient, near the HBF"
Four Points Flex by Sheraton Essen
"Always my pleasure"
Sheraton Essen Hotel
"Good, recommended"
Hotel Ambassador Essen
"Super clean place, well-located, breakfast is varied and good, the receptionist was such a kind guy. For its price, I find it absolutely perfect."
Hotel Essener Hof, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western
"It was clean, renovated, and dog-friendly. The location wasn't ideal for dogs, but that's typical for centrally located places. Very flexible and a very, very nice room. I'd gladly stay again."
Spark by Hilton Essen City Centre
"Excellent hotel well located next to the Central Station. Good clean room, very friendly staff and a nice breakfast."

B&B HOTEL Essen-Hbf
"The hotel was a bit pricey considering the facilities as it was during an international conference. It was disappointing that they were doing road paving work in front of the hotel and the breakfast was repetitive."
Hotel Franz
"The hotel is located in a complex with charitable institutions, quite close to the A40. My room was very tidy, clean and a reasonable size, as was the bathroom. There is a kettle and air conditioning in the room, but unfortunately no small fridge/minibar. Parking is available, which costs €15 per night in the hotel car park. The breakfast is very good. The WiFi was a bit bad one day, but otherwise worked well. I was particularly impressed by the extremely friendly and helpful staff."
Schlosshotel Hugenpoet
"Super"
B&B HOTEL Essen-City
"Walking distance to Essen centre. Beds in twin room very narrow. Functional stay."
Motel One Essen
McDreams Hotel Essen
"Good location. Noise is loud"
DORMERO Hotel Essen
"To meet the cultural sites in Essen, we were with our more than 80-year-old mother for 3 days in Essen. In the forefront, I left 15 hotels with bicycle. The Hotel Maximilians did not disappoint us. Special mark: Love and dedication, with which it is apparently worked over years to prepare guests for a pleasant stay. Of course, 5 stars!"
Hotel am Schloss Borbeck
"Not the best...free parking..turned up and looked empty..booked through booking.com..phoned number on door and a bloke turned up 10mins later..was clean..but in desperate need of refurbishment..bed awful.. took mattress off bed and put on floor..no food or beer garden as advertised..went down the road, 500metres.. Great time"
JustStay Essen Hotel & Apartments
"Highly recommended. Hotel is next to metro station. Walking distance to Messe Fair, also have a lot of restaurants nearby. The rooms are newly renovated, free coffee and tea are provided. The common rooms/areas are excellent to meet business partners. I definitely will book this hotel in next year."
Moxy Essen City
"Staffs are nice, hotel is clean."
Flowers Hotel Essen
"Toppp"
Boutique Essen City
"It's about 10 minutes from the central station! The people and the room were very nice!"
FOUR Essen City Centre
"The room was quite spacious, the breakfast was excellent, and it was conveniently located about one kilometer from the train station. There was a shopping mall and shopping center opposite, making shopping easy."
Mintrops Concierge Hotel
"This hotel/apartment building has seen better days. The tap in the small kitchen leaks, the walls are boarded up and covered in dirty fingerprints, and there are unplastered holes in the walls. The receptionist (the only friendly staff member I encountered) didn't mention the limited cleaning service. The air conditioning is terrible, either too hot or too cold. Breakfast has an extremely limited selection. I really can't recommend this place."
Mintrops Stadt Hotel Margarethenhöhe
"Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful, and so is the hotel. We received a very warm welcome and had large rooms, which were just a little dated. But it was spotlessly clean, and we slept wonderfully. We had plans to meet someone else for dinner, but later we ended up staying at the bar. The service was fantastic, and the drinks selection was excellent. Breakfast was ample and good. I would gladly stay here again."
Hotel Das Lola
"We came to stay at this hotel over the weekend and we came for work. Truly we believed it’s not a 4 star. It is a 3 star. Reception is only open from 7am till 3pm. We arrived late, so there was no receptionist, our room was clean but the sink was so blocked that it wasn’t possible to properly use it at all, not even to brush the teeth cause the water would come to the floor. The next day in the morning I went and asked a receptionist to unblock the silk. Seemed like or she didn’t care or she didn’t speak English well. She didn’t even say she’s sorry that in a 4 star hotel the water comes on the floor if we use a sink. After we left to work all day and when we came back in the evening - nothing was fixed. Sink is the same very much blocked and receptionist is gone. I’d not recommend and not come back. Had to brush my teeth with a water bootle. Also there is only one pillow and house keeping just turned off the heating so it’s freezing cold when we come back, instead of giving fresh towels, bath mat (they forgot once again to give us a bath mat) or toilet paper. Honestly this hotel is not worth the money at all."
