Crown Hotel Stone

Good parking and easy to find. There was a £100 deposit I had to pay which wasn’t mentioned when booking the hotel. The room was nice but the shower had no water pressure and made it difficult to use.

This hotel is under new management for the last six months and the owners and staff are working hard to get it restored and up to a lovely standard. The staff and owner Aneesh are lively and just getting in they’re feet, it will take time just hope people give them a chance as the food is lovely and it’s relaxing they are brightening the run down hotel up to be a brighter place and the front of the hotel steps straight on to the high street with easy access to anything u need ideal for a quiet relaxing weekend without the hustle and bustle and they do tribute nights get down give them a chance in time i can see it going great for them the bed was comfy the room was clean and that’s all that mattered to me everything beyond was a bonus, thanks guys for making my stay so nice will bring my friends next time

Couldn't fault the place for the price! Room was spacious and clean enouhh, no view but we really weren't bothered, the Indian restaurant was lovely, clearly they had some renovations going on but it was contained and quiet. Staff we happy to help and parking is free when you check in don't make our mistake and pay to park before you go in! Old building full of character would happily return

Great location for what we wanted. Helpful staff and I wish we had time to eat in Indian restaurant in the hotel because it smelt amazing! The room was clean, spacious and was quiet during the night. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable therefore we didn’t sleep well at all. We woke up with back and neck pain. Such a shame because we loved our stay!

We previously stayed at Crown Hotel and vowed never tor return. We found this hotel had been taken over by new management and thought we would give it a second try. We booked a ground floor room but ened up in a room 3 flights of stairs up, one set I literally had to crawl up as was extremely steep. Bedroom was a good size along with the bathroom. Shower had one of those tap connectors on, so getting temp right was hard, also I slipped getting into the bath and have a nice bruise on my inner thigh. We noticed our room over looked the fire escape, that's fine however bit concerning window was painted shut😬😬. We had drinks in the bar downstairs which was reasonably priced, bar man was lovely. He helped us sort out tv out as for love nor money I couldn't get it to work correctly, he managed so thank you. There is an Indian restaurant on site but as we were meeting family not all of us wanted an Indian so we didn't eat there. Menu did look nice tho. After our meal out we went back to the crown and had more drinks, was very quiet for a Saturday night but weatherspoons was soooo busy. We had an early night un til a lovely couple arrived back at midnight and then continued to argue on and off until 2pm. It spoilt the night. Overall was pleasant effort, I've stayed in worse. The refurbishment is coming along nicely. We didn't stay for breakfast as didn't start til 8am.

It was a newly renovated hotel still had historic character. The stay was comfortable and great. The staff was very helpful and polite. The food at the Indian restaurant was amazing. Definitely stay again

We stayed here on the NYE night and the place was quite comfortable and entertaining since we attended the Bryan Adams tribute show. The rooms were lovely and breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Stone.

Unfortunately there isn't a zero to rate this hotel. We arrived on Friday evening for our Anniversary weekend . Our room was number 33 at the top of the hotel each floor we passed got worse , dirty ripped carpet , filthy walls , filthy doors . Our door handle was broken , we had no curtains in our room just a dirty old net . The windows in both the bedroom and bathroom had big cracks in them . We decided we couldn't stay and told reception how disappointed we were as the photos on their website showed a clean and inviting hotel . I asked for them to show us the room that they had given us on their website they obviously couldn't , they said it was waiting for a refurb that's why it wasn't shown . They offered us a refurbed room in the annex but we needed to pay them £100 as a security deposit . We had seen reviews where people had paid this money and not received it back as promised on checking out so we refused to pay and left to go home .the refurbished rooms in the annex could be seen from the car park and we were not impressed, the curtains were falling down. And it looked awful. Lessons learnt look at real reviews not ones from their website .

The room was good value. It was a large room with plenty of space and clean. Heating not great but two heaters in room made for nice stay. Breakfast was good. I did not go to the restaurant, but saw it had good reviews, Definitely worth the money, though not luxury! Parking good
