Furore Grand Hotel

The lack of communication among the staff/ departments was a problem, of which they apologized and excepted full responsibility. When asked for partial refund, they offer a discount for a future visit (US to Amalfi Coast, doesn't happen every day). This is not acceptable. Two of our 3 night were directly affected, therefore credit should be on current stay. Although the hotel is beautiful, I gave the General Manager every opportunity to make good/he did not. This is not would I expect from a new luxury establishment. Why should I have to pay for their learning curves?

The air conditioner was not working. Person came to fix it said it was fixed and left when he didn’t do anything. Towel warmer was not working. Requested feather pillows and were given hard foam pillows. Dog barking across the street at night. Woke up to ants all over the room. Mgmt offered to change our room for the second night stay but we decided to check out in the morning one day early. GM refused to refund us our money for the night we checked out basically stealing $1,100. ******* tried to get them to process one night refund but they refused. The hotel was not near maximum capacity. They are thiefs! There are plenty of other hotels that are much more accommodating and honest The GM says he followed the terms and conditions on both sides as an excuse to steal $1,100. Terms and conditions don’t include having to pack up our bags and move to another room due to no AC, ants, no towel warmer, etc. They should have refunded the one night stay and do the right thing. The fact they kept my money shows you exactly what type of hotel this is. STAY FAR AWAY. I travel the world and stay at five star hotels…I have never had to write a review such as this. This is a one star hotel charging five star rates.

The hotel is a new 5 star property located in the hills above the Amalfi coast. The public areas, two pools, two restaurants, bar and sitting areas are all immaculate and take full benefit of jaw-dropping views. Our room was simply but elegantly designed and also had a terrace and the same amazing views. The staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The breakfasts were amazing, the chef went to the market and sourced a large fish just for our party, and the bartender mixed us customized cocktails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The one suggestion I have for management is to offer more frequent and on-demand shuttle service - the downside of the hilltop location is that taxis to Amalfi are $70 each way and Positano or Ravello twice that.

Exceptional stay at newly-constructed 5 star hotel. Common areas, pools and rooms all elegantly and simply designed and furnished. Stunning views over Amalfi coast. Attentive, friendly staff and 5 star service all around. Only caution is that location high above Amalfi necessitates use of expensive taxis. Hotel provides a few shuttle runs per day but should increase shuttle availability.

Wow! That's all that I can say. This hotel is beyond words. Pictures just don't do it justice. The grounds, pools and views are absolutely gorgeous. Our room was amazing. (We were so surprised to be upgraded to a room with our own private pool. It was such a delightful surprise as we were celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary. We are so grateful to the hotel for this kind gesture.) The room was very spacious with a small sitting area and had a large closet area with enough room for all of our luggage. The bathroom is also spacious with a double sink and actual counter space (which is rare for hotels in Italy!). The hotel is immaculate. Each and every person we met at the hotel was so professional and kind. A special shout out to Vincenzo, Martin, Alfonso and sweet Luisa for taking such good care of us. The food and cocktails are out of this world! (The cocktail menu is extensive! The bartender/mixologist is AMAZING!) We ended up loving the food at the restaurant so much that we actually cancelled a dinner reservation we had at a restaurant in town. The chef is truly talented. I would say that the pasta (zucchini that I had was probably the best I had over 2 weeks of eating in Italy. This was the perfect hotel for us to end our trip to Italy. We definitely plan on returning some day to Furore Grand Hotel as it was our favorite hotel EVER that we have stayed at. We hated to leave. Thank you, Furore Grand Hotel, from the bottom of our hearts for an incredibly memorable trip.

Definitely a wonderful hotel, a bit far from the nearby attraction cities of Amalfi/Positano, etc... and only available with expensive car services ($150 each way). If you're planning on staying on property, the hotel is fantastic. New property that will only get better as they continue to train staff.

Traveling is not just a passion for me, it's an opportunity to evaluate what other venues do right, and this experience left an indelible mark on me. Having been in the hotel business for the past 23 years, let me share what the Furore Grand Hotel did exceptionally well. Every detail had been meticulously considered, from toiletries to bath towels, linens to stemware, hemstitched napkins, and the list goes on – it was perfection. Although located away from Amalfi town, we couldn't have been happier with the serene surroundings. Recognition to Ferdinand, Ariana, Vincenzo at the front desk to Alphonso, the restaurant manager, and the Maître D, Rafaele, as well as Antonio and Martin at the concierge – every staff member was amazing. The Suite- The view from our suite was breathtaking, leaving us momentarily speechless. To top it off, complimentary laundry and pressing services were an unexpected delight. Breakfast was a treat that we never wanted to end. From fresh daily juices to Italian delicacies and the most exquisite exotic fruit crepes, it was a culinary heaven. In all honesty, I struggled to find anything that the Furore Grand Hotel did wrong or could have done better. My only regret was not finding time to use the pool. I am eagerly anticipating a return.
