If you are looking for a quiet hotel close to all the possibilities offered by the surroundings by the Taormina area, you have come to the right place. Rent a small car (parking at the hotel is very easy and hassle-free) and visit every day a different beach or tourist place, as we did. I recommend not to go to the beaches in Taormina, there are prettier and more spacious ones in the surroundings. In the hotel you will stay in clean rooms in small houses, which are located in a beautiful well-kept green garden. The hotel is on a closed property and you get the keys from the gate, so you can return from the trip at night without any problems. The pool is clean and there are sunbeds around it. They will bring you a coffee, snack or drink by the pool. The staff is extremely nice, helpful and caring (Pina 😍), they try to accommodate in everything. Breakfast is very tasty and you can choose from the menu (if you want, even everything), be sure to try the fresh cheese, tomato salad and fresh fruit. This hotel is a green, peaceful oasis in bustling Sicily. And as it says at the entrance gate, it feels like your Sicilian home.

Very nice resort in calm village, surrounded by mountains, only few minutes drive from Giardini Naxos and their beaches. The rooms are located in few houses in beautiful garden. In the middle of garden there are 2 very clean swimming pools. Very tasty breakfast served individually based on your choice and preferrence. The staff is always smiling, open to help and making you feel that you are important guest to them. There is spacious parking in the hotel. I definitely advice to come to here and relax.

We stayed at Alcantara Resort in September and it was wonderful. The resort itself is really well maintained, our room was comfortable and the pool was such a nice place to relax. The staff were really helpful even when we had an issue with the air conditioning in our room, Rosa quickly sorted out an alternative room for us. The breakfast and lunch was delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner when we travelled in September but there was a really great local bistro in the village within walking distance that we went to a couple times. I would definitely recommend this resort for anyone who wants a relaxing holiday to Sicily!

Big thanks to the team of Alcantara Resort! Especially to Pina, she’s very helpfull and friendly; but the whole team! The resort is in a quiet/calm place so I recommend to rent a car. Nice breakfast and the swimming pool is very clean as well.

Immaculate well kept complex.The receptionist and staff in the bar area could not do enough for us.The breakfast was so fresh and delicious with a good selection to choose from.We flew with Easy Jet, private transfers all on time.The only slight down side was the location as the description by Easy Jet made it sound like we were closer to Taromina. Having said that we found the bus service excellent and cheap.Lovely local restaurant too that was reasonably priced.It was nice to see the true Sicily in Gaggi.Overall a great holiday .Well worth a visit

Our stay at Alcantara Resort was the best we've ever had and we've had few experiences with accommodations. We arrived late at night from the airport and Simona behind reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a feeling that this stay was going to be alright! The next morning we met Pina at breakfast. She introduced herself and guided us through the menu. Where we may have been a little hesitant about what we all wanted to take, we no longer felt encumbered after a conversation with Pina. We really liked the breakfast, we liked the fact that it was not a buffet. This made everything taste good and fresh. Fresh fruit, tasty sweet things, scrambled eggs with bacon and many more choices. The pool was cold but nothing the hotel can do about that as the weather has not been as it should have been. It was also nice when the sun got warm. The rooms are clean and equipped with what you need and you have a nice kind of sitting area with two chairs outside. We also had dinner in the hotel a few evenings and that was some of the better food we ate in Sicily and believe me, the food in Sicily was phenomenal. Obviously the staff was really the biggest compliment they can have. It felt like a family, like we were friends. I felt at home and when we left I shed a tear. Compliments to the entire staff, but with an extra compliment to: Pina, Rosy, Sabrina and Simona.

a quiet and lovely resort with friendly staffs Giovanna was extremely lovely and so was pina. all lovely staffs really. breakfast option is nice n worthy. the pool is nice n warm even in early october. there is alot of nature...and bees, so beware if allergic. the resort is in a friendly small town called gaggi, not too far from taormina and giardini naxos, ideally car rent would be perfect as buses are irregular and taxi s are a little expensive. you can't have external food in the resort but you can deffo explore n enjoy food outside or even in their little restaurant. you haven't got gym facilities but you have got a tennis court which is still fun even when you don't know the rules. definitely worth it is all. -jenny n precious

We stayed at Alcantara Resort for a week last month and had a fantastic stay. The staff literally could not be more helpful and happy to serve you with anything around the clock. Very friendly too. Our only problem was the location. It was stated the Resort was in Giardini Naxos, which is right below the Taormina hills - where we wanted to visit. The resort is approx. 15-20 minute taxi outside Naxos in Gaggi. If possible, get a rental car or use buses (which were not reliable; either late or didn’t show up). The resort does have drivers to help at a price, though. Again, fantastic resort with amazing service and friendly staff in a quiet area. Had a splendid time at the resort. Just needs advertising as being in Gaggi and not Giardini Naxos.

If you are after a beautiful place for some R&R then this is it. Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean with staff who simply cannot do enough to make sure your stay is superb. It is a little bit away from Gardini Naxos and Taormina but we loved the tranquility of the place and easily travelled where we needed to go by bus. We will definitely be back. Absolutely loved it here 😍
