Door was off hinges, toilet handle broke, cockroaches, ceiling caving in, supposed “hot tub” was freezing, banging on door/ random calls of silence, fire alarm went of every night, and the people were disrespectful and rude.

The room was a maintenance disaster. Sink would not drain, curtain was torn from the hangers, multiple visible wall patches. The entire Choice chain has a marked decline in recent years. Occasionally, I find a well managed property, but more and more, I find disappointment. Then, we went to breakfast.

Where to even begin with this place. The room looked great online, false advertising to a T. Not well versed on Texas law but there's definitely a clear, open shut case for any judge out there. Lights don't work, fridge works intermittently, mold, stains, and dirt everywhere to be found. The pull out couch was nasty, ratty, and torn. The bed, hilariously enough for a place named COMFORT INN, was an insult to rocks around. You could've shaped an actual mold to the body you wanted with rocks at least. The bed was rigid in the wrong spots and soft in none of them. The beachfront is a joke. The only views you have are the apartment complex across the street and the pool in the hotel. The GM is a rude, condescending prick who won't give out refunds even when confronted with the proof. I will say, the only breath of fresh air we got outside the musty, stinky rooms was a man named Gabriel who made the trip better by helping us find the best room we could find. I'm sure he isn't getting paid a lot but he goes above and beyond. The bathroom was dirty and moldy, the toilet seat was cracked and the towels were stained. We went through 10 different rooms before deciding on the most polished of turds. Save your money and don't stay here. Or spend a little more and go somewhere else. Best case, don't stay here. Buyer beware, whatever the people need to see in order to see DON'T STAY HERE. IT'S A WASTE OF REAL ESTATE.

Phone in room didn't work, half the lights didn't work, all the lights had rust on them, tiles were loose and missing grout, towel bar fell off the wall, cracks in tub, dirty curtains, room smelled like smoke, toilet seat was worn out, the toiletries looked used, ice bucket lid had cigarette ash and burn on it. The hot tub wasn't hot, the front desk guy was the same guy the whole weekend, day and night! If all the other hotels weren't packed we would have left immediately.

The room was good but did show its age. Very spacious with a couch that opened into a bed. There was a frig and microwave. Nice size TV with lots of channels including premium stations. There was a balcony with two chairs. Our room faced a condo and not a view of the ocean. Walking distance to Golden Corral. Hotel has a nice buffet breakfast that is included. There was scrambled eggs, ham slices, yogurt, waffle maker, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, muffins to name a few. Overall a nice place to stay day before a cruise.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend. The room was clean and spacious. We were expecting a room with a view but got a view of a building we were let down by that but everything else was ok. The bathroom was big. The breakfast was nothing special but that was no big deal.

Do NOT Recommend. We stayed here just one night before a cruise. No one was at the desk to help us check in. Someone finally walked by and told someone in the back we were there. He checked us in without saying anything and just left without a word. Wasn’t sure if we were even done checking in. But we got Heidi we just left. We were put in a room that was pretty disgusting. The walls seemed moldy and rusty and it felt gross. There was a water leak that was dripping in the bathroom right in front of the toilet. There was water on the floor when we got there and it dripped every few seconds, so impossible to go to the bathroom without getting wet. We asked to switch room for which they accommodated. The second room was better and felt cleaner. But I won’t do this one again. There were similar hotels on both sides of us that looked a LOT nicer all the way around. I suggest picking one of those.
