My wife and I visited here today for the first time in a while, and what a great move it turned out to be. Having ordered drinks at the bar, we settled in one of the very cosy side rooms, and browsed the menu. I went for the Hake & Scallop tagliatelle, and my wife went for the 3 for 2 starter type dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed my pasta dish and the hake was translucent (another scallop would have earned it a 10 !). My wife had local sausage in onion jam, crispy prawns and chicken wings, all of which were great. Two cappuccino's to finish, exactly as they should be - HOT and delicious. Why do so many establishments serve tepid coffees ? Service by the delightful and friendly lass from Lancashire - thank you Romy !! Looking forward to our next visit.

We absolutely loved our one night stay here. In terms of the accommodation, the room was spacious, the bed was huge and extremely comfy. The food for dinner was fabulous. We both said the best quality for the price that we've had in awhile. I had the steak and hubby had the lamb shank. Staff friendly, brekkie good and overall a lovely stay. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful food , hospitality and surroundings ! Lindsay ( chef) delivered 3 perfectly cooked steaks ! Emma our waitress knew the menu well and was able to offer recommendations . We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day (late on ) they were very busy again but Emma made us feel comfortable, found us a table and served a wonderful roast - Thank you. All the staff were friendly, efficient and professional. The pub/ restaurant has a welcoming, friendly vibe and having spoken to the manager ( apologies I didn’t take her name) at the end of the night to explain what a little oasis her establishment was i can see why the pub is so lovely and successful ! We were assisting family to move into a care facility and finding this little gem made an emotional situation a little less difficult - Thank you ! 100 percent recommend !

Just returned from an overnight stay at The Old Swan -absolutely fabulous!The room was immaculate, comfy bed, quiet and warm .Julie was most welcoming and made us feel at home, we hadn’t booked an evening meal and it was extremely busy but she managed to fit us in. So pleased with the food, lamb perfectly cooked and the pie was delicious- credit goes to the chef and kitchen staff, very reasonably priced for such good portions.Will definitely return, our thanks to Julie and all the staff. Amazing food and service. Emma was absolutely brilliant. I'll definitely be back. I was trying to watch my calorie intake and the restaurant accommodated me really well with that. Beautiful dessert too.

Called. In yesterday for lunch, having been past on a couple of other occassions, the food was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble, we thought our meal and drinks was very reasonable. Will visit again next time in the area.

We booked a room for three days in August 2023. Room was very clean and stylish. The bed was very large and well presented. Plenty for free parking. All the staff were very friendly. Breakfast options were full english to just cereals. Reception and the pub close at 10pm.

Food too fancy, we wanted basic pub grub, everything had smoked this or herbs or different things in that are too fancy! The drinks were expensive, I had a medium savigion blanc £8.50! We have been before and it was good and reasonable, don’t think we will be back. 🙁😟😳

We ate here hoping for home cooked food in a country pub. For the price we paid the food was very disappointing. I have eaten better in a motorway service station. Some has stocked the kitchen from the freezer isle of a supermarket. This is our second visit. There won’t be a third.
