We had a wonderful experience in this quaint boutique hotel! From the moment we walked through the door until the time we checked out, the experience was great. The hotel is clean and beautifully decorated. Our room had a view of the water and it was very serene. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I ordered a hamburger and it was the best burger I have tasted since moving to the Netherlands 5 years ago. The breakfast served is also of an excellent quality. We look forward to returning for another relaxing getaway.

Just a one night stay for us, but it was very nice - super clean & very comfortable. The room & bathroom was small but as I said it was just a one night stay so we really were only there to sleep. We did eat in the on-site restaurant, again very nice as was the breakfast which was included in the price. The views over the terrace and out onto the Canal are lovely, and the owner was really nice too, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

We had lunch at this place on our last of our three day kayak trip, and it was the best lunch of the whole trip. We both ordered “patatje Kalenberg” which was very tasty. The people running the place are very friendly, washrooms are very modern and clean. I can definitely recommend having lunch or dinner here.

Made an attempt for the t****e time to eat something (last time we were asked to leave because they were too busy with the service with a half-filled terrace). The time we ordered 1 Sprite and three ice creams, but we had to wait no less than 45 minutes for that. This despite the fact that we had walked to a person from the service 4 times to pass on the order. Ridiculous for the prices they charge.

Het leek ons een leuk terras om de lunch te gebruiken, mooi tafeltje onder de platanen in de schaduw. de bediening kwam niet fris over, slippers met sokken en mw kwam onverzorgd over, hebben drinken besteld, en een lunch voor 4 personen. Na ons kwamen nog meer gasten op het terras , deden ook een bestelling ,deze werd bezorgd , ook werd niet gevraagd of we nog iets wilden drinken. op mijn vraag dat we een lunch hadden besteld , vertelde de ouder mv van de bediening dat er maar 1 kok was en dat ze wel wist dat we iets hadden besteld. Aan de jongere bediening nog iets besteld , zij was verzorgd en vriendelijk. na een half uur kregen wij ook de broodjes . De warme beenham was koud geworden ondertussen , we hebben betaald , en voor ons geen reden om nog eens hier de lunch te gebruiken.

Wij hebben een korte maar heerlijke fietsvakantie achter de rug. De accommodatie 't Rietershuijs in Kalenberg (NL) voldeed helemaal aan onze verwachtingen. Heerlijke, rustige kamer met prima douche en dubbele lavabo, alles kraaknet, bijzonder lekkere keuken en erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Vanuit onze kamer hadden wij een prachtig uitzicht op de achterliggende vaart en 'jawel' op een heus ooievaarsnest. Kan je het nog mooier bedenken? De schitterende natuur van het natuurpark De Weerribben is overweldigend. We hebben er met volle teugen van genoten. De omgeving is een echte aanrader, ja een 'must' voor al degenen die op zoek zijn naar rust en stilte. Wij kunnen het iedereen van harte aanbevelen. Zeker een keertje doen. Je zal er geen spijt van krijgen. Groetjes. Eric en Lizette uit België. 14 mei 2022.
