Overall I am happy with my stay here.
Firstly, the hotel is in a perfect location in the heart of Glasgow city centre and very close to trains, buses and metros. You are also surrounded by bars, restaurants, cafés and shops.
I was very impressed with the room. It was spacious and with an adequate amount of storage. I liked the modern decor and the room was spotless.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The bar and bowling alley on the top floor looked cool.
I marked the room down for amenities because it didn't have a kettle and the desk should have included a mirror so I could sit and do my make up.

I really enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around on foot or by transport. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the overall experience very pleasant.
One small area for improvement would be the in-room amenities. It would have been convenient to have items like a luggage scale or even a bathroom scale available, which are often handy for travelers.
Overall, the combination of great location, professional staff, and comfortable facilities makes this a solid choice for a stay in Glasgow.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, and very trendy. Rooms are cosy with the bed touching 3 of the 4 walls.

My Glasgow trip was amazing. I had originally planned to stay an extra night in Edinburgh, but my travel companions mentioned the Edinburgh Marathon, which meant rooms were virtually impossible to find, with even hostels charging upwards of 1700. So I arrived in Glasgow earlier than anticipated.
On a rainy day, I initially overshot the hotel and ended up at an Express hotel. The very friendly lady at their front desk kindly directed me back to the correct location.
After settling in, I had a deep sleep. The next morning, my power bank was fully charged, but my phone wouldn't turn on. I then realized my charging cable had broken at the worst possible moment – I was stunned! Fortunately, the staff member on duty at the front desk helped me charge my phone and even directed me to the nearest Apple store. It was also lucky that the hotel is very close to the central pedestrian street and square. Thanks Paul for the power line help!
The hotel's location is truly excellent. While it's a few blocks from Central Station, the immediate area is flat and central – a significant plus, as I later discovered other parts of the city, like the university and station areas, involve steep uphill walks, which would be tough with luggage. Various theatres, concert halls, and cinemas are right next door. Buchanan Bus Station is just across the road, and next to it is a Sainsbury's (a very convenient supermarket). During my stay, many children participating in a dance competition at the concert hall were also staying here. The surrounding area offers incredibly convenient options for dining and shopping.
My room was an economy type, not huge, but comfortable enough. The window faced a gallery apartment and a concert hall across the street. While the soundproofing might not have been the best, I was so exhausted I fell asleep instantly.
Glasgow's weather cycled through heavy rain, light showers, and sunshine multiple times a day. While some people might brave it, an umbrella is definitely useful here. In the city center, it's not too windy for an umbrella, and the downpours always arrive very suddenly. Even though locals seemed quite used to the heavy rain and unfazed, it was nice that when the sun did appear, you dried off quickly.

The hotel was under renovation without a proper lobby or dining facilities. This was not mentioned at the time of booking, which might have made us change plans to stay somewhere else. Rooms are run down and old fashioned, though good sized and clean

Our room was great for watching trains at Glasgow central station, just outside the window. Clattering of the tracks went on late into the night. TV in room was 2nd most annoying thing, as could not turn off descriptive channel information. Breakfast ok. Hotel location was great for what we wanted to do in Glasgow. You can walk up the river to the crane and hydro. Not convinced it’s the best place to stay in Glasgow, I Think I got a good deal on the jnr suite price and I’d stay again.

Great location, rooms are cleaned daily, theres a small gym (dumbbells, one threadmill, punching bag, and a bench), microwave available as well along with other stuff. Both me and my friend did get bed bug bites so the room doesnt not seem as clean as it appears. Price was alright, but main thing is location, its right next to the train station which is convenient if your taking it to other cities.

The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed
Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it.
Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch.
Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee.

Ggi04Our stay at Hotel Indigo was very pleasant. We were welcomed by Katt who has been very nice and friendly. We arrived around 11am in the morning and they already let us check-in early.
The room was spacious and everything is comfortable.
Our tour was leaving early the next day so we can’t take the 7am breakfast and they fixed us some breakfast to go.
Location is close to airport bus stop and walking distance to the city center / central station.
Overall, it was a great stay!

HHeather_MaeWe have a great day at the Native hotel. The location is amazing. There’s enough space in the hotel for the two of us not to feel like we are on top of each other. The kitchen is nice. We use the wash machine twice and that was an amazing amenity to have at the hotel. I would highly recommend!

GGuest UserI stayed when visiting for a concert so I checked in, dumped my bags and left. The hotel had great décor and was very central. The room itself was a very nice. Great shower. Our twin beds were close enough that we were pretty much in a double.

BB未I stayed here as a first time traveler to Glasgow and I found this Safestay brach as the only viable option 😅 but also the best option: it is really well priced and high value, the interior is a little dated but it's actually very well maintained and clean, ventilation in the rooms could be slightly better but was alright, the common lounge was quite cozy and the staff was very kind and helpful. This is important to me and in regard to the service attitude this hostel is just excellent : )
The location is also very good - Glasgow is not a large city but the hostel is ideally situated, about a fifteen minute walk from Buchanan station and another fifteen minutes in any direction to get to another area to explore, i.e. Argyle street with nice pubs.
Concluding: highly recommended.

GGuest UserMuch more basic than expected. Bed was made up of two singles which barely stayed together through the night. Tea and coffee facilities were poor as were the toiletries. Not worth the price at all. Breakfast at £14 per head was totally overpriced. Food was luke warm and very bland. Will not be back.

GGuest UserGreat location. Stayed here before. Staff are friendly but it's really let down in other areas.
Our room was filthy. Bed was fresh but the desk was sticky, carpet looked like it hadn't been hoovered in weeks and when I went to plug in my phone beside the bed there was the remains of someone's peperami snack lying on the floor.
Bathroom had a brown poo mark on the loo seat (which we cleaned!) And the loo floor was covered in long black hairs. I am platinum blonde and my friend has long dyed red hair... We told reception who offered to comp us breakfast but we had already paid for it so they just took the feedback.
We asked for an iron and ironing board, and they were really pitiful appliances. They could do with an upgrade for sure.
Oh and during breakfast the coffee machine was fully broken and was being taken apart...
