Venus Royal Hotel (Guilin Elephant Trunk Hill Sun and Moon Twin Towers)

The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to Sun Moon Pagoda and Zhengyang Road Street. The staff is friendly and the room is clean.

Fantastic location, on the Li River, close to Elephant Trunk Hill and Shan Lake! We made use of the washer / dryer on the floor and enjoyed the restaurant on the 5th floor.

We had a decent stay in the family room of this hotel. It was located close to the busy part of the city center and right next to the park with the pagoda. We had bunkbeds for the kids in a separate part of the room. The bunkbeds were super firm and uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet was small and limited in choice. However, the room was clean and the hotel staff were nice. Since we only stayed one night, the negatives were not a big deal. 

Hotel is near most tourist-attraction area, All places is in walkable distance There are many restaurants, also night market nearby The room is so spacy and comfy The View is the best of all but the outside window is quite dirty, it would be perfect if i can see twin pagoda from perfect clean window room

The location is excellent. Just beside the sun and moon pagoda. Scenic area just across the road. The hotel lobby has a corner to sell cruises and attraction tickets. Hotel staffs are friendly. Good check in and check out experience. We liked the restaurant and enjoyed breakfast. Better to ask for a Street or Lakeview room. Overall a nice experience.....

The hotel is a little bit worn out and the toys in the room are old and filthy. The receptionist was not helpful at all and seems not properly trained. I’d like to ask for his help to exchange me a ¥20 note for my coming trip by ship to Yangshuo. I offered to transfer ¥20 to the hotel by Alipay and he could give me cash, he said it didn’t work and I must give him cash for exchanging it. So I gave him ¥100 and asked if he can exchange it for some small notes, he picked up the cash in the drawer (I saw there are ¥50, a few ¥20 and other notes, they can make up ¥100), after thinking for a few seconds, he changed his mind and told me he still couldn’t do it for me, and did not offer another other help at all! Luckily the DiDi driver came to pick me up just stop at a local store and helped me to get a ¥20 note on my way to the port. It definitely prove the hotel staff is useless. I won’t stay in this hotel and will tell all my friends stay away from this brand. The location is very good though but it’s such a waste for them to running a hotel there.
