If you're looking for a hotel near Melbourne Airport, I highly recommend staying at Mantra. (The rooms were also newer and bigger than I imagined, which was a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff were super friendly too – so much better than the Mantra at Sydney Airport 🙇)"

"Overall, the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are in good condition most of the time as they are cleaned up to five times a day. Kitchen utensils and storage place are provided and there are enough for everyone to share comfortably.
The facilities are great — there’s a lounge, rooftop area, small movie theatre, gym, and even call booths for private calls.
Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here!"

"Great hotel with excellent service and value for money. I accidentally left 700 AUD in the room safe after check-out and only realized it at the airport. The staff handled it quickly and professionally, and I got my money back without any hassle.
The hotel feels very safe and quiet, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the front desk staff are friendly. The location is perfect — opposite Southern Cross Station, easy for trains and the airport, with a Coles supermarket across the street. The area is very walkable. Highly recommended!

"Overall comfortable 1 night stay. Booking/Room as described, with all necessities provided.
Staff were welcoming, warm and helpful. I would recommend Quest Docklands and would consider staying again myself. Fantastic location with walkable surroundings and nice sights!
Smooth check-in & check-out process; precheck-in option is a great feature, I saw it too late to utilise.
Air vents may need cleaning as it didn't feel as cool as expected, woke up a little sweaty but the humid morning could have been messing with temperature.
Air definitely flowing though as had to fiddle with the curtains to minimise slight bumping sounds it was making against the frame.
I appreciate the welcome letter, especially the clarification on the no smoking policy.
Environmentally conscious attention, always a plus!"

"Had an amazing time here. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Though we had a problem with the airconditioning on the first night, they managed to hive us the option of transferring to another room. The view was amazing! Special thanks to the staff, Jay and Jasmin from reception and Aljun one of the floor staff. You were all amazing! Hopefully i got all your names right 😅. The staff at the breakfast buffet is amazing too. Love every dish and we always look forward to breakfast! Thanks again and can’t wait to come back soon 😊"

"Excellent! It's a popular choice among young people, and it's super close to the trendy 'internet-famous' wet market. The Vietnamese pho there is even better than the pho in Vietnam! The only minor issue was that check-in was a bit slow. There's also a large supermarket nearby. I would definitely choose to stay here again."

The checkin experience was robotic, unfriendly and did not show any interest, care or effort to deliver a welcome.
The hotel itself is very nice, quality finishes and large rooms.
The property has a dedicated service elevator however the housemaids use the guest elevator for transit between floors without any smile, hello or care towards guests. It's also obvious the damage to guest elevator from cleaning carts.

"This hotel is located close to Terminal 4 of Melbourne Airport, reachable on foot.
The check-in experience is fast and happens by typing in all your details in an online form that, once approved, it allows you to get an automatic receipt and room key.
The restaurant is lovely and offers delicious food.
The rooms are quite comfortable.
The only downside is that they don’t provide in-room water.
Excellent choice if you have a night layover or if your flight is delayed."

"We were disappointed with this hotel. We are having a 6 week tour staying at hotels and motels along the southern Australian coast. Standard wise, this was the worst. Hotel we had stayed in. We stayed twice (with a side trip in the middle). The first room was just not clean, the bathroom mirror was really smeary and the bedroom mirror was covered in hand prints. The carpet in the passageway of the 15th floor was filthy and also needed a good vacuum. On our second stay, the standard of clean in the room was not much better and we did not get any room service on the second day despite hanging the request card on the door.. on the positive side, the bed was comfy although you only get one large pillow. The hotel is conveniently located with a large precinct opposite, a short walk to the Quayside and trams taking you into the city without charge."
