We went for a short break to celebrate my 70th birthday. The staff were wonderful and the room spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food was okay, but nothing special for the price. We only ate at the hotel the first evening and ate in Guisborough for the other evening’s because of this. Because the hotel knew it was a special birthday, I thought they might have given us a free drink or something, but they didn’t, oh well.

I have an allergy to Chilli, nearly every dish on the menu contained Chilli in some form or another. Produce for the dishes should be of a high enough quality for the flavour to speak for itself - buck the trend cut out the chilli.

We stayed in a suite for 2 night
Excellent facilities. Fridge, Tv, lots of options for tea, coffee (coffee machine provided) fruit/herbal teas and hot chocolate.
Very clean, good range of toiletries
Great choice for food, from breakfast to evening meal.
Staff very attentive.
All in all a very nice place to stay

Our stay was tremendous on every level the wow factor of the building and gardens and the fabulous interior, the two restaurants serve top quality food and drink, with a great wine selection. The staff really stand out and so all they can to make your stay something memorable and help with any questions or issue you may have. Also for the quality of the hotel, food, staff etc, it's great value for money
To be honest I don't know why I am telling everyone about this, being I want this to be our best kept secret. Can't wait for our next visit.

Lovely place and staff well trained. Just needs a swimming pool as is fairly standard with most 4 star hotel & spas.
