"I would be happy to leave a positive review of Cocohut Beach Resort & SPA, but with a small caveat. First of all, I would like to note that the attention to cleanliness, comfort and service here is truly top notch. I would give them 5 points for cleanliness: the rooms and common areas are in perfect order, which creates a feeling of comfort and care for guests. The service is also captivating - the staff is polite, responsive and always ready to help, which makes the holiday truly enjoyable. The amenities in the hotel did not disappoint, offering everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
However, speaking of the location, I would give 4 points. The fact is that the beach that the hotel overlooks was not as attractive as I expected. The entrance to the water is quite shallow, but this creates some inconvenience due to the presence of algae and stones on the bottom, which may disappoint swimming enthusiasts. Despite this, it should be noted that there are many other magnificent beaches on the island that can fully compensate for this shortcoming.
Overall, Cocohut Beach Resort & SPA is a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to my friends given all the positive experiences I had there."

"The room is clean and nicely decorated in a nature theme, especially the bathroom with the stone floor and walls. The beach area of the hotel is a little bit small compared to the neighboring hotels but still good. But what convinced me most of all is the service. The hotel staff is super nice and very helpful with everything you need. The hotel area is pretty big so there is a cart service that can pick you up at your hotel room and drive you out to the entrance (or beach, pool, …). Very convenient because the street with all the restaurants is right outside the entrance (and a 7-eleven right across the entrance). So all in all a very pleasant experience and i would definitely stay there again."

"The hotel has a good location and good quality rooms. However, I really didn’t like the hotel’s attitude towards the issue of distributing sun loungers by the pool. All the time they are booked with someone (put down a towel), and there are no people themselves either at the sunbeds or at the pool. As a result, the sunbeds are empty all day, but you cannot occupy them. When contacting employees, they ignore this problem. For example, I attach 2 photos (2 were taken at 7 am - all the sunbeds were already occupied and there was no one there). During the 10 days I was there, I was never able to spend time with them. As for me, this is an indicator of disgusting service from the hotel and this must definitely be corrected in the future"

"A beautiful hotel without screaming children. Ideal location to get to the full moon party, but also to explore the city/island yourself, e.g. by scooter or tuk-tuk.
Every member of staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and helpful.
In the late afternoon a DJ plays music by the pool, but the music is more chilled and not too loud.
We had our room right in front of the pool and cannot agree with the previous speakers that you can hear the music in the room.
The cocktails and food in the hotel are unbeatable in terms of taste, the breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired.
Definitely: a clear recommendation, we will be back!"

"We stayed for one night to relax after the Full Moon Party. The room is simple, with a view of the pool. The air conditioning in the room is not fast, we had to wait a long time for the temperature to drop to a comfortable level. But we really liked the pool in the courtyard, no scorching sun, always comfortable coolness. The location is convenient, breakfasts are in the neighboring building with a view of the sea."

"This is a great hotel. Starting from the location, ending with small details in the room - mosquito spray in a perfume bottle. The staff is very polite and caring. You feel in absolute comfort and safety. The hotel area is very beautiful, surrounded by greenery. Breakfasts are great. There is everything. Buffet format + ordering from the menu. Any kind of scrambled eggs, porridge, juices, avocado toast, fruit, etc. You must leave a deposit of 1000 baht at the hotel; it will be returned upon check-out. On the downside, one night there was a lot of noise from the company in the neighboring villa. With music, dancing, etc. I think the hotel should take action and prevent this from happening. Still, the non-hotel format does not imply noisy parties."

"The hotel is 4 stars. And this is clearly visible in everything. The service, room cleaning are all excellent. The staff here is very friendly, fulfills all requests. The location is near the hotel. This is where it wins. It is located on a beautiful beach next to the Anantara hotel. Close, within walking distance all infrastructure: shops, restaurants, cafes, laundries, bike and car rental, exchange offices, massages, etc. From Thong Sala Pier it takes 30 minutes, a taxi costs approximately 1000-1500 baht, depending on the number of people. There are downsides to the hotel: 1. The biggest downside is the breakfast. It’s disgusting. Everything is tasteless, the pastries are old, there are no fresh juices, it’s impossible to drink coffee from the machine. 2. The room is very small, the bathroom always smells damp and musty. Upon request They install an aromatic liquid, but it lasts literally for 2 hours. 3. The quality of linen and pillows leaves much to be desired. Results: The hotel is good, a solid four. If you want to live on the shore of a beautiful beach, then choose it."

"Let’s start with the staff. Tik and all the team are so amazing and we couldn’t have asked for better service Sadly on arrival we were met by building works from the main decking area and a pool that just looked broken. Tiles missing and lacking water in areas. We were informed that due to this being the quiet month (pre school holidays ). That this was the only time to get it done !! We were given a free spa but again however nice the drilling noise and building work could be heard throughout. The management who were present did not seem to acknowledge that this was a problem for us. The view from the bungalow was amazing. However I wouldn’t have booked it if I had known that it sat on a beach that you couldn’t enter. An unswimmable area due to low tide and sea urchins. This was our luxury part to our holiday and sadly apart from the staff it was very disappointing. I would have been informed of the disruptive building work during my stay and the management failed to address this issue and the poor pool maintenance."

Amazing
GGuest UserGreat villa, so peaceful and quiet but just a short ride away from the action. They give you a private phone to call and they can take you round the island (as part of the package) and answer your questions and help with anything you need. Food delivery options were amazing so even though you’re not super close to restaurants they can bring it to you. Clean with everything you need, coffee machine, microwave all kitchen utensils. They even left some beers in the fridge for us to drink :) thank you!

CChristophIch gebe sehr selten Bewertungen ab, da ich auf meinen längeren Reisen in viele Unterkünfte komme und oftmals keine Zeit habe dafür. Dennoch ist es mir eine Herzensangelegenheit für dieses Hostels einige schöne Zeilen zu schreiben:
Insgesamt hatte ich eine wirklich wahnsinnig tolle Zeit!!! Von der ersten Sekunde an fühlt man sich einfach nur herzlich Willkommen in diesem Hostel.
Ein riesiges Dankeschön geht an den Besitzer des Hostels „Fon“. Der Typ ist einfach eine herzensgute Seele. Ich habe selten einen so zuvorkommenden, sympathischen Menschen kennengelernt. Ich bin im Hostel angekommen und wurde mit einem gratis Cappucino und Wasser begrüßt. Da seine Frau zu viel Curry gekocht hat, durfte ich sogar etwas davon mit essen.
Fon hat das Hostel von Grund auf neu aufgebaut und steckt all seine Energie mit Herzblut dort rein und ist noch lange nicht am Ende ein atemberaubendes Hostel zu schaffen und für seine Gäste ein einzigartiges Zuhausefeeling zu bieten. Er legt viel Wert darauf, dass es jedem seiner Gäste gut geht und nimmt sich die Zeit für jeden Einzelnen. Dabei ist ihm nicht wichtig, dass er mit dem Hostel massig Geschäft macht, sondern dass es jedem Einzelnen gut geht und alle die beste Zeit haben.
Seine Crew, die dort arbeitet und er selbst haben mit uns eine Rollertour um die Insel gemacht und uns ganz viele tolle Orte gezeigt. Es war einer der schönsten Tage, die ich hatte.
Ich war zu Beginn verwundert, wie ein Hostel eine so dermaßen gute Bewertung haben kann. Nachdem ich angekommen bin wurde mir schnell klar warum. Es ist nicht alles perfekt - Es ist alles genau richtig, so wie es ist. Das Hostel ist entspannt, super sauber, bietet Aktivitäten und ist toll gelegen (5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Fullmoonstrand). Man fühlt sich wie zuhause und jeder der hierher kommt wird eine gute Zeit haben. Versprochen!
Fon hat noch so viele tolle Ideen, das Hostel noch zu erweitern und noch schöner zu gestalten. Ob in 1, 2 oder 5 Jahren. Ich komme definitiv irgendwann wieder und bin schon jetzt gespannt, was er tolles daraus machen wird!

CCamille.DThe +: Magnificent hotel overlooking Shark Bay. Out of the city so quiet, scooter rental necessary to get around. The hotel is built on the hillside, there are many stairs to move between the rooms, the pool, the reception, but it has its charm. Green spaces and pool very well maintained.
The -: mattress too soft and very hollowed by all the guests preceding me; surprising for a hotel of this standing ... moreover, on one of our 4 nights, a major water leak woke us up. We called the hotel staff in the middle of the night, who responded, and intervened during the day to repair. When checking out, when paying for the stay (breakfast, spa, ...) a ridiculous discount of 398 baht or € 10.81 was granted to us. A very light commercial gesture considering the inconvenience caused, for a room at 100€/night …
Finally, the services offered (massage, spa, snorkeling and canoe equipment rental) are very expensive compared to the prices practiced elsewhere on the island. If you do not plan to leave the hotel, prepare yourself to pay dearly.

GGuest UserOf course, the rooms look nicer in the photos, but overall it's a decent hotel. The staff is friendly, sociable, and ready to help. The rooms are quite clean. In the evenings, sometimes groups of foreigners were a bit noisy (it's a hostel after all), but not for long. It's about 5 minutes to the beach, but Sairee is not suitable for swimming, it's very shallow. It's also about 5 minutes to all the cafes. But the nearest 7-11 is not so good, everything there is more expensive than in others.

Fff88Bans! Been in and out this place throughout the years since 2015 and kept coming back wether I dive or just having a chill trip in koh tao. Bans, was by far MY FAV for many reasons. Location is great, big resorts, i am in love with pool with cafe (behind the lake) and their outdoor shower + amenities! I enjoy my morning dips, my painting session, my coffee and books afternoon. Just this time round, it was just a tad different feelings and experience. Mostly are still great but theres confusion of the room booked and the actual room itself (i reckon website needs to be updated and clearer details) and a minor incident where I have to pay additional 1 night just because the reception didn’t remember that Ive paid which partly my fault for not asking receipt and or prove of payment. Also, Bans used to be having such a great team member in service but ive came across some that’s quite cold and impatient unfortunately this time round unfortunately. sad 😢 and last thing my room floor were sandy meaning the room cleaning isnt that immaculate. Hopefully, next time I go back “home” this feeling was just such indifference and bans will still be me fav.

BBenDro98The hotel and the complex are very nice. Everything is a bit old, but it still has a great charm.
You are greeted by cute older dogs, which makes it feel homely.
Unfortunately, there was an ant infestation in our room, which we reported when we checked out. We discovered the infestation the night before at 10 p.m. The reception is closed from 10 p.m.
The reception apologized for this and it wasn't a big deal for us. However, open food should not be left in the room, such as biscuits, fruit or leftover bread.
The breakfast was simple. For us personally, there was a bit less choice.
The hotel has a bike rental service, which is free for 1 hour and costs 100 Thai Baht after that. Highly recommended if you want to cycle to 7/11.
The hotel offers a shuttle, which costs 200 Thai Baht PER PERSON. (2 people, 400 Thai Baht)
Ideal in the evening if you want to go into town to a night market.
You can enjoy a great sunset for free!

GGuest UserThe owner from Manchester are such lovely people. They offer daily trips for their guests so nobody will feel lonely while staying at this place. The employees are always friendly and it is really different than other places. You feel like coming home. The vibes are amazing ! I don’t really care about internet connections, because I remember Phangan when there was no 24/7 stores and nobody had mobile phones and there was no internet available.
A warm welcome place to connect to other people easily. And again: the vibes are really amazing !!! Both thumbs up. P.S.: I don’t recommend the dorm room, but for students and young people who don’t have big budgets it is cool that this way of accommodation still exist.

GGuest UserSuper relaxed atmosphere with lovely people who want to please you. You can rent a scooter, go paddle boarding and all the food you can get here is really great! Sweet dogs on site and a beautiful swimming pool with infinity pool overlooking the sea. What else do you want?

DDannyhopWe stayed two nights which was enough for us. Outdated rooms, but big beds that were comfy. Unfortunately had to move rooms halfway through due to availability. Location not too bad. No hot water one night. Tv did not work.

PPomelo SThis property’s location is rather remote and quiet which was what we wanted. You’ll need to take a taxi to the village which is about 200 baht per way as walking along the beach to the village is not easily accessible from the hotel. Room is relatively spacious with nice balcony. 2 very nice large pools. The 2nd pool is located at Blk 3 up on a steep slope which is great if you room is located there. Breakfast spread was very nicely balanced between east and west. Only negative comment was the poor internet connection in room and by the beach which can be frustrating for some. Overall, it is a beautiful, quiet, organic type of place and we’ve enjoyed our stay.
