I had a wonderful stay at La Vista Hotel Hakodate! The location is unbeatable—right by the bay and within walking distance to the Morning Market and Red Brick Warehouses. The room was clean, cozy, and had a great view of Mt. Hakodate. One of the biggest highlights was the onsen on the top floor. So relaxing, with an amazing panoramic view—perfect after a day of exploring. The breakfast buffet was another standout—so many fresh seafood options, especially the DIY kaisendon (sashimi rice bowl). Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hakodate!

La Vista Hakodate Bay exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect — within walking distance to major spots like the red brick warehouse and Mt. Hakodate ropeway. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely nostalgic Japanese feel.
The rooftop onsen was absolutely amazing, especially with the open-air bath overlooking the night view of Hakodate. The free late-night ramen was a nice surprise!
Most of all, I want to thank a female staff member who gave us the best service I’ve experienced in Japan. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly made my stay unforgettable.

Good location. Walking distance to Mt Hakodate cable car base station, kanemori brick warehouse, tram station to Goryokaku. Love the hotel onsen and breakfast. Nice view from the room. However, the aircon is not cold enough. A bit stuffy during the night.

Breakfast was superb. Provided a lot of varieties with quality. Room was ok (a bit tiny) for a group of 4. Staff members were polite and hospitable, especially the ones at the reception desk and the dining’s main kitchen counter. The view at the top-floor onsen area was amazing. Nice location as it is super close to the Red Brick Warehouse and the bay area. A number of convenient stores in its vicinity.

The hotel has a great location and amazing breakfast. Daily free ramen and ice cream at night and tasty free hot drink daily are plus.

Nice room with mountain view. The breakfast is superb. Hotel has parking but with a fee. Very close to shopping and several points of interests including the cable car station
