Nan Feng Ju Homestay (Nanshan Road)

If it had been clean and tidy right when I walked in, the first impression would have been much better.

Great location near the attractions, and the bed was super soft and comfortable.

The room was spotless and perfectly located right by West Lake. The host was incredibly kind, allowing us to drop off our luggage before check-in. Paddle boats were available right opposite, and after a pleasant walk, Hubin Yintai IN77 (a shopping mall) was just around the corner, offering plenty of convenient dining options. A post-dinner stroll along West Lake to catch the musical fountain show was the perfect end to the day before returning for a restful night. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable – unlike the stiff mattresses often found in hotels, it was wonderfully soft and truly felt like home. We slept incredibly well.

This B&B boasts an incredible location, right across from West Lake. The Yigongyuan bus stop is just a few steps away downstairs, and we had the chance to ride Hangzhou's famous '1314' romantic lake-tour bus; the scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful. We visited Lingyin Temple and explored for a while. Afterwards, we had dinner at Grandma's Home (Wai Po Jia) restaurant, located right on West Lake, directly across from the B&B. The cuisine was quite good, featuring authentic Jiangnan flavors. The bedding in the B&B was spotlessly clean. The cream-toned decor was lovely, and the kids absolutely adored the large tatami bed, happily bouncing on it. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail was excellent. We'd definitely love to come back if we get the chance!

I booked this room last minute, and it turned out to be surprisingly good – located right by West Lake, with a direct view as soon as you step out. It was incredibly convenient, perfect for a lazy person like me, especially with the family in tow. The neighborhood is vibrant, with shopping malls nearby, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, designed with a soft, creamy palette that felt both fresh and whimsically princess-like, making it perfectly photo-worthy. Both beds were generously sized and didn't feel cramped at all. The host was incredibly hospitable, even proactively offering a travel guide, though I didn't get to use it, haha, as I had planned my itinerary too tightly. No worries, it's good to have a few regrets in life, as it just gives me a reason to come back!

The place is beautiful, the bed is spacious and very comfortable, and it has a cozy atmosphere.
