Sokcho-si Hostels

Wonderful hostel, above all my expectations. Super clean, with huge comfortable common space (be ready for it to close by 23:30h). Stuff doesn’t really speak English but they do their best to help, using translator. Bus stop and intercity bus station right across the street. The only thing is that they ask you to leave the room for a bit while cleaning service, but it didn’t bother me too much

Simple breakfast is also provided and there are many places that can be used on foot, such as Manseok Dakgangjeong and KFC, which are right across the street. Cheongcho Lake where you can walk is also very beautiful.

I booked this hotel because I wanted a room with an ocean and sunrise view, and it was absolutely wonderful. Even better, I arrived a bit late, past the check-in deadline, after getting off work, but the owner kindly welcomed me, which I really appreciated. They even upgraded my room from what I originally booked, making it so much easier to accommodate my parents. Thank you again for that! If I ever visit Sokcho again, I'll definitely stay here! I have stayed here before to hike Seoraksan. This time, I had a nicer room; however, because it is near the mountains and older, there was a huge house centipede on the ceiling when I got there. Luckily, the bug spray they had worked on it. Other than that, there were some small stains on the bedding, but everything else was clean. The bed was comfortable, and the location is about 55 minutes walking distance from Seoraksan National Park. It's only about an 8 minute taxi drive there if not too much traffic. There is a beautiful river/stream nearby. This place is also only about a 16 minute drive from the Sokcho Express Bus Terminal. Obviously, I like this place enough to stay again. Breakfast was toast, cereal, and you could make eggs/a toast sandwich I believe.

The parking lot is a bit small, but you can park across from the hotel... It is a place with a great view and nothing really to complain about. I had a wonderful two-day stay enjoying the ocean view.

No tea bags or coffee sachets provided, which is a bit weird.  Water pressure for shower is way too weak.  No room cleaning services, leaving alone having your new towels put outside your room in the morning. Only 4 lifts serving way too many hotel stayers, resulting in long waiting lines and thus, time.  Views are magnificient however.  The room is so massive and the balconies are spacious.

Only issue was faint odor of cigarettes- 3rd hand smoke. Room did have vent fan over the bed.. I've never seen that before. It did seem to help. ”Non-smoking room”. Other than that, the bathroom was enormous and brand new. Bed was comfortable. Room was extremely romantic motif. Staff is extremely friendly. A/C worked good. Potable water dispenser in lobby. Decent location. Without the slight cigarette odor it is a great place.

The accommodation for the Sokcho trip with my two sons was clean and the space was separated, which made it even better. It was a hotel with great value for money at a low price because it was a weekday. The breakfast was also simple and good. I definitely plan to use it again on my next trip to Sokcho!^^

The motel's location is perfect: right across from the intercity express bus station and just 500 meters from Sokcho Beach. The staff are on-site, and you can leave your luggage at the reception before check-in and after check-out. The room has all the necessary toiletries, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, cream, and a comfortable bed. However, all the plumbing fixtures and mirrors were quite dirty. There were no duvet covers or sheets, and the pillowcases had mascara stains.

If you enter the parking lot, you can't see the elevator ~ ^^ If you go into the main gate, you can move to Elbe easily. You can see the entrance to the stairs and you can go in the opposite direction. I was worried about the smell in the later period, but I didn't think that in the room. Air conditioning clean and new Clean refrigerator Water pressure at all. Plug on the head of the bed perfect sense I stayed for two days and rested well without any inconvenience. The boss is kind. If you are looking forward to hotel condition for hotel service, give that money and go to a 5 star hotel I am very satisfied with the price and have a return visit doctor !!!
