To Vo Hue Hostel

My partner and I stayed at this hostel in Hue for one night. We arrived early and they allowed early check in. We had a downstairs garden room which was very comfortable and had all the ammenities you could need. The room was a little bit mouldy and the AC did not seem to work however. As it was winter, we were a bit cold during our stay and the thin blanket did not seem to help too much. We ended up booking another night after our first as we were getting a late train and were too hungover to leave. The staff were so helpful here and got us coffee and a new room as our other was booked for that night. Overall, the place is nice but looks a little run down compared to pictures. The staff are great and it is in a great location. Great budget place to stay in Hue for a couple nights.

Really cute place and great location but definitely wouldn’t come back. Air conditioning barely worked in our room which was was starting to get unbearable. There was no atmosphere either, the place was sold out but we didn’t see another traveller there. Definitely don’t stay here if you want to mingle with other people as there is no social area. Would be pretty good for a ‘chill’ traveller - but just don’t stay in 102. Worst part was that there was an electrical fire at 9.30pm when we came back to bed and there was absolutely no electricity. We had to stay at another hotel because we felt unsafe staying there. Staff were really sweet and washing service was so quick! It just was an unfortunate series of events for us.

Friendly and helpful staff, my stuff needs cold storage during days in Hue, and the staff is willing to keep for me… I really appreciate that. Clean room with reasonable price, beautiful as their photos on Facebook. The location is great, center of the city, just a few minutes walk to pedestrian zone with many restaurants and bars… about vehicles, the hiring cost is affordable, and they are quite new… highly recommend
