far from station and one 2-3 shuttle bus per day so better drive. staff are friendly. however, food are not great, rooms for improvement. the sunamushiri onsen is a great experience but other onsen are below average. wifi coverage not enough as it only cover the main building. the satsuma tenshokan next door is a wonderful building.

Excellent ryokan hotel with excellent service, amenities and food. The outdoor/ indoor public baths (onsens) are one of the biggest and most amazing I have ever seen. Although there are many rooms and guests, the service is unparalleled so you don’t experience long queues anywhere. There is a museum in the hotel compound if you are bored!

great place to stay in Ibusuki!, It's a big resort with onsen, large public bath area, swimming pool, and many restaurants. the hotel staff is very nice, there are a few cantonese speaking staff in the hotel, who are extremely helpful! the hotel sandbath needs an extra pay, but it's worth the convenience. recommended for family for a relaxing trip

Awesome hot spring and service, even includes waiter speaks Chinese and English. The hotel is a bit aged, but with everything you need and the sand bath is highly recommend for people haven’t tried it before. The Satsuma museum locates within the hotel area is also worth for visit if you want to spend some free time around the area

Nice and comfortable resort; beautiful beach; first time experience hot sand bath in the hotel. Really enjoy. We are very lucky to have a passionate Taiwan trainee at the reception to help us going around the resort as we don't speak any Japanese. The breakfast buffet is delicious with many choice. Definitely would like to visit again and spend more days there next trip

Great onsen hotel with a beautiful museum in the in-house vicinity. Rooms were spacious. We traveled over golden week so all restaurants were fully booked and we had to resort to the ramen shop in the basement.

This is a great hot spring hotel. It is large in size and conveniently located on the south bank of Kagoshima Bay. It has a great environment and offers sand steaming. For dinner, there are stone dishes and lobster sashimi.

I decided to stay at this hotel as soon as I saw the photos, and I was not disappointed. The lobby lounge faces the pine forest and the sea, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while waiting to check in. Although the room is not very large, the furniture and furnishings are more exquisite than other places, and there are fresh flower arrangements, which makes people feel happy. The dining part is a little deducted. I was looking forward to the 8,800 yen dinner, but it turned out to be the most mediocre meal of this trip. The dipping sauce for the beef shabu-shabu is sour, which may be a local specialty, but I really can't get used to it. It's a pity for such good beef. After taking a hot spring bath in the evening, I went to Menya Jiro again. The taste is quite good, and it is open until the early morning, which is very convenient for guests staying in the hotel.

The check-in time for Hakusuikan is 3pm, and you cannot check in early. If you arrive early, you can go to the lobby bar to have some free drinks, which are delicious. Put on a Japanese yukata at the entrance, and then lie on the sand. The waiter will bury the whole body in the sand heated by the hot spring heat. Generally, you will sweat profusely after 10 to 15 minutes. It is said that it can treat many physical discomforts caused by body cold. The price of sand steaming has increased from 1100 yen to 1540 yen per person. You cannot bring a camera or mobile phone to take photos. The photo fee is 1400 yen per photo, which will be settled together when you check out. The photos are printed and clipped in a small album. There is no electronic version. To be honest, it is better not to take photos. It feels too silly, especially the two flower paper umbrellas. The sand steaming is connected to the Genroku Onsen Baths. After the sand steaming, rinse the sand and soil at the entrance of the hot spring and go directly to the hot spring. The Genroku Onsen is very large. The hotel also has a Songyun Hot Spring, which is on the second floor next to the lobby, but it is just a large pool and the facilities are relatively simple. It is recommended to walk a few more steps to the Genroku Onsen bar. The dinner is Japanese, one by one, and each dish looks a little bit, but it is very full in the end. The hotel's free bus goes to Ibusuki Station. There is a bus to Ibusuki Station at 9:00 and 10:10 every morning. At 15:15 in the afternoon, Ibusuki Station picks up passengers to the hotel. The rest of the time you can only take a taxi. Fortunately, Hakusui-kan is not far from Ibusuki Station, and the taxi fare is about 1,200 yen.

The room facilities are old but well maintained. You can see the sunrise from the Flower Building. I was woken up by the alarm clock on the bedside table at 6 o'clock. I was very annoyed.
