Popped by for apres ski ⛷️ happy hour from Gore Mtn… what a gem! Fantastic lodge… a lovely quiet Adirondack classic where you can kick back, enjoy the scenery and some peace. Someone carved cute valentine hearts in the snow for the 14th. ✌🏼 we can’t wait to get back for a Nordic adventure and a stay here.

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at the Garnet Hill Lodge. The staff was courteous, professional and friendly – from the ski guides to the waitstaff to the administrative folks. The cross-country ski trails were well-groomed and marked for a variety of skill levels. The owners were accessible and even took time to ski with our group. Food in the main lodge was excellent. it was the kind of trip that gives you a comfortable pause after you depart. Accommodations were wonderful (Birches cabin).

My wife and I went to Garnet Hill last week. When I went to ask a question of a staff member I had to wait 7 minutes and 24 seconds so the staff member of the outdoor center could finish his conversation with one of the regular customers and tell me where the bathroom was located. In conclusion, if you are a regular at the outdoor center you will be treated well. If you a newcomer, like my wife and I you will be ignored. My review only refers to the outdoor center no other part of the facility.

This is a wonderful cross country ski lodge. The trails are great and are well groomed. The food is excellent. The dinner steak I had the other night was terrific and they serve a great breakfast. A new feature is that they provide cold cuts for you to make your own bag lunch, and they were very good. The rooms are not fancy, but the lodge is lovely with a fantastic huge fireplace. It takes you back to when the Great Lodges were built in the Adirondacks. I wrote a review about Lapland Lake and these are the two places that I go to every year to nordic ski. I prefer the trails at Garnet because they go more out and back and provide wonderful views of the high peaks.

Our organization had our annual luncheon and meeting at Garnet Hill Lodge. The food was outstanding, as was the service. The staff were attentive and professional. The food was delicious. Everything was perfect, from first contact to organizing things and the overall communication - Garnet Hill Lodge made this easy to arrange, and well worth the visit!

The Garnet Hill Lodge was our home for nearly a week while on a trip with the Sierra Club. It was perfect, and so was the weather! The history of the Adirondacks, and this lodge are very special; the large fireplace is made of stone with garnet quarried locally. Our accommodations were comfortable, and the owners, guides and staff were A++. Our meals were buffet style, and were excellent, with lots of options. There were choices for each day’s activities, including hiking, paddling in the nearby lake, and mountain biking, to name a few; we hiked most of the days, and the guides were great! It would be great to return in autumn or winter to explore more of this part of the Adirondacks!

My husband and I were very pleased with the Garnet Hill Lodge. It is beautifully situated with a gorgeous view, which we were able to fully appreciate from our room, one of the best, with an outdoor patio on the second floor. Our room was spotless, roomy, and very nicely decorated. We enjoyed the beach, a very short drive from the inn, where we were able to swim and take out kayaks and canoes. If you want a peaceful setting, this is it. Breakfast is included and served daily, and you can enjoy it in the dining room or take it outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air. One really big plus, and a wonderful gesture, is that they set out fixings for lunch which you can pick up after breakfast. Very generous, with a selection of coldcuts and breads, lettuce, granola bars, fruit, really quite a nice selection. They even give you ice to keep it cold. The members of staff we spoke to were very helpful and friendly. We do very much recommend the Garnet Hill Lodge. Just some suggestions and personal thoughts: The dinners are a bit pricey and there is not a very large selection of items to choose from, a larger menu would be great. The pool table could be refurbished/replaced, and most importantly, placed in a room that is large enough to accommodate the pool sticks! It was actually impossible to make a play on two sides of the table. Also, bring in a ping pong table - so much more fun!! That being said, thank you for a wonderful time, we would come back here if in the area.

Clean!!! Friendly! great food. Total and absolute relaxation. Fire pit every night. Coffee all the time. Beautiful building. Hills and lake perfection. Go down to the lake and find the tiny garnets at the shore edge. If you need a place to get away, this is it. Owners are there and available. Canoeing and kayaking. I’d go there over and over.
