The biggest surprise of my trip to Western Sichuan was discovering a hidden gem hotel that blends Thangka art with the gentle embrace of the snowy plateau. Judging a hotel's quality boils down to four main dimensions: service, environment, dining, and scenery. This hotel far exceeded my expectations in every aspect, and I must share my experience! I. Heartwarming Service: ******* Warmth in Every Detail Upon arriving at the hotel, I was immediately touched by their sincerity. Everyone presented us with hadas (traditional ******* scarves). It wasn't just the hotel manager and front desk staff; even teachers and students from the Thangka Academy came to greet us. I suspect this was because we had specially come to commission a custom-made Thangka, hence the grand welcome. Even more remarkable was the warmth that extended beyond the initial meeting. Throughout our stay, we were treated like old friends, with attentive and considerate care. The staff always proactively inquired about our altitude sickness and whether we were adjusting well. They even brought us warm milk at 9 pm. These small, thoughtful gestures were present throughout, not just standardized, assembly-line service, but genuine empathy—truly touching. II. Guest Rooms and Public Areas: An Immersive Thangka Art Space The rooms are filled with a captivating atmosphere, decorated in an antique style with exquisite Thangka motifs throughout. Upon entering, you're enveloped in a rich ******* artistic ambiance, quiet and soothing. The public areas on the first and second floors are even more impressive. Thangka artworks are displayed throughout the hotel, allowing you to experience the charm of this intangible cultural heritage at every turn. It's also the only place in the village where you can quietly and comfortably enjoy a coffee, sitting and appreciating the paintings – travel fatigue instantly dissipates. III. A Fulfilling Dining Experience: A Boon for Vegetarians Our entire group ate vegetarian food. We initially thought the vegetarian options in ******* hotels would be limited, but the kitchen was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Even with common, simple vegetables like potatoes, bell peppers, spinach, and tomatoes, the dishes were prepared without complicated seasonings or fancy cooking. The chef's solid and experienced skills transformed simple vegetarian dishes into fresh, mellow, and sweet flavors that lingered long after the meal, demonstrating the chef's profound expertise. IV. An Unexpectedly Stunning Surprise: A Backyard Facing a Vast Snow-Capped Mountain Range The most stunning highlight of the entire stay was undoubtedly the hotel's backyard. With an unobstructed view, the entire continuous snow-capped mountain range of western Sichuan unfolded before your eyes, allowing you to immerse yourself in the magnificent natural scenery of the plateau without even leaving the room. If you're lucky enough to witness a rainbow after the rain, every snapshot is a breathtakingly beautiful snow-covered landscape. Combining ******* warmth, Thangka art, authentic cuisine, and unparalleled snow-capped mountain views, this hotel offers a comprehensive and exceptional accommodation and dining experience. This stay experience was directly full of five stars. There was no smell in the room when I entered the door. The bathroom on the ground was cleaned. The toiletries were complete. The check-in speed at the front desk was very fast. The little beauty at the front desk was warm and polite. There was a question consultation and patient answer. Dege County is a small town nestled in a mountain valley. The hotel has its own parking lot, and the rooms are clean, bright, and spacious, with electric heaters that keep you very warm. Opening the curtains reveals a stunning mountain view – a truly unbeatable mountain-view room. The breakfast is simple, delicious, and filling. The ******* receptionist is very helpful. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I came back.

The hotel is located on the roadside navigation, free parking. The front desk lady is very good at serving, the newly opened hotel facilities and equipment are very new, there is floor heating is very warm, but unfortunately there is no humidifier. The hygiene of the bedding needs to be strengthened, there is hair under the pillow, and the two pillows below have not changed the pillowcases at all. Five stars for the service of Miss Sister

The owner was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. The place was spotless, and overall, it was a great experience.

The room was okay, and the receptionist was quite nice. However, the hotel as a whole lacked management. It was very disorganized. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7:00 AM, but when I arrived at the restaurant on the first floor at 7:40 AM, there was nothing there. At 7:45 AM, a young man who looked like a chef got out of a car with a black dog, hurriedly went into the kitchen, and stir-fried two vegetable dishes. All three types of pastries were placed cold on the buffet table. Only then did the ******* waiter heat them up for me under the tray. After five minutes, they realized no water had been added, so they added water and reheated it. The porridge was just leftover rice mixed with a little water. The staff's hats and uniforms were carelessly tossed on the chairs.

The hotel is newly opened, clean and hygienic, the bathroom sink faucet leaks, the room has no TV, and everything else is very good.

There are no chain hotels in Dege, so I searched for the one with the highest reviews. They all said that the owner was very enthusiastic, and indeed very enthusiastic. Help carry luggage up and down stairs. Facilities: All the facilities are there, the beds are soft and comfortable👍🏻, but there is no filtered water. The water for washing hands, bathing and flushing the toilet is yellow and unclear. The stench inside the toilet flushing pipe was like stinky sewer water. I really don’t dare to take a shower. Hygiene: The toilet is very dirty, both on the surface and inside. The pillows are smelly. I didn’t sleep with a pillow all night. Service: Guests in other rooms were very noisy in the morning and could not sleep well. The room was not soundproofed. Finally they checked out and continued to catch up on their sleep. The waiter was making a lot of noise while doing cleaning work. Then he came and knocked on the door at 11:00 before it was time to check out. I really can't sleep

If you arrive early, you can sit in the second-floor lobby and watch the sunrise over the snow-capped mountains. The rooms are very clean. I highly recommend their taro chicken; it's incredibly delicious.
