"We chose to stay at Licheng during our Qinghai-Gansu Loop trip, and the overall experience was excellent, especially suitable for friends traveling by car. The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for getting around. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets downstairs. In the evening, you can even take a walk along the Bayin River. It makes dining and shopping effortless.
The hotel is relatively new, and the rooms feature a smart home system, allowing voice control for lights and curtains. As it's very dry in the Northwest, each room comes with a humidifier, which is a thoughtful touch. The mattress is very comfortable; after a long day of driving, lying down really helps relieve fatigue. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, hot water comes out quickly, and the cleanliness is impeccable.
Its advantages for self-drivers are outstanding. There's a large, free parking lot, and even EV charging stations, so you don't have to worry about charging if you drive an electric car. I saw the old and the young and took the initiative to help upgrade the room type. I heard that the elderly are a bit high, and I also helped to buy Rhodiola at night. The location is also very good, next to the Haizi Poetry Memorial Hall and Bayin River, and the molten salt tower outside the window.
