"I felt the window design in the room was a missed opportunity given the beautiful view. A horizontal bar in the middle obstructed the scenery, making it impossible to get a good photo. I stayed at two places in Lugu Lake due to the off-season, and the other one upgraded me to a room with a better view for free, which this one didn't, but that's understandable. The restaurant downstairs was quite good, and breakfast was also nice. The hotel entrance opens right onto the lake and a walking path, which was fantastic for a leisurely stroll. One thing that was really annoying was the poor soundproofing. On the morning of September 24th, there were kids screaming loudly in the courtyard from 7 AM, and their negligent parents did nothing (the hotel said they had reminded them multiple times). Overall, the experience was just average."

During our trip to Lugu Lake, Chenchen thoughtfully arranged an afternoon tea for us, choosing a spot with an excellent view. He also took us to discover many interesting places, patiently answered all our questions, and helped us book a fantastic pig-trough boat experience. From our first meeting until check-out, he enthusiastically assisted us with all kinds of matters. His professionalism and dedication left a deep impression on me and my husband, creating many wonderful memories and making our entire stay perfect. Chenchen's devoted efforts deserve high praise from guests. Many thanks to Butler Chenchen for his thoughtful service. The hotel boasts a unique geographical location, directly facing Goddess Bay of Lugu Lake, enjoying the most captivating scenery of the entire lake area. Opening the window reveals picturesque lake and mountain views; misty mornings and evenings bathed in sunset glow create an immersive ambiance, with every frame captivating the senses. The room design is equally impressive; from the bedding to the overall decor, every detail reveals careful consideration. The bedding is made from premium materials, soft and skin-friendly, providing an extremely comfortable sleep that ensures a restful night and dispels all fatigue. The hotel's overall environment and every detail within the rooms have been meticulously refined – the color temperature of the lighting, the tactile feel of materials, the spatial layout, and even that small corner by the window perfect for quiet contemplation, all exude a restrained yet warm aesthetic, detailed but never contrived. On the service front, every staff member displayed a high level of professionalism, being attentive and considerate while maintaining appropriate boundaries, making guests genuinely feel cared for and at ease. The tour programs offered by the hotel are also outstanding, with well-designed itineraries and diverse, enriching experiences. From lake tours to hiking, boat rides to cultural explorations, each activity ensured an enjoyable return, greatly enhancing the quality of the trip. Even more noteworthy is that the hotel group owns several excellent restaurants, not just within the hotel premises but distributed across various areas of Lugu Lake. The food quality remains consistently high, demonstrating their strong operational capabilities and brand strength. Guests can enjoy their well-prepared or recommended delicious meals in a large part of the scenic area, which is a rare find in a tourist destination. Having traveled and stayed in numerous hotels across the country, I can honestly say that this hotel has reached a top-tier standard in China in my eyes. Whether it's the hardware facilities, environmental ambiance, service details, or the completeness of dining quality and travel experience, it is on par with any excellent hotel I have ever stayed in. It deserves my most sincere praise and high recommendation, was the most pleasant discovery of my Lugu Lake trip, and is my definite recommendation for all friends in the future."

"First off, the room and the hotel's overall environment were great. They even offer a complimentary travel photography service. The Zhimma housekeeper thoughtfully prepares afternoon tea and, after a long day of exploring, sweetly brings you a Tremella soup – truly a nice touch. They also provide contact information for activities you're interested in and patiently answer all your questions. The breakfast was the most abundant and meticulously prepared I've seen in all my years of traveling. When you arrive by bus, they wait for you in advance, and when you leave, they help with your luggage. Zhimma is incredibly strong; one girl carried two suitcases up and down the stairs at the same time, so cute! If I have the chance, I'll definitely choose to stay at Sanshe Yunhe again."

"Location of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting lugu lake. Imagine waking up to the view of the lake and mountains. The hotel is also fairly new with beautiful deco and they have prepared many thoughtful things include disposable towels, disposable bath tub towel, free daily afternoon tea and a short photoshoot. The front desk staff 阿文was also very helpful. A couple of things I wished went better: - breakfast: selection was quite limited and mainly Chinese food. Was not an issue for me as I typically don’t take breakfast. - limited toilet paper: unfortunately my husband and I were down with food poisoning during the trip so the toilet paper quickly became a scarcity. - inconsistent temperature in the shower: the shower on my first night toggled between icy cold and steamy hot even without me adjusting the temperature. Overheard from other guests that they had the same issue as well. The hotel thankfully was able to fix it on my second night. - mattress was too hard, and it felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor… unfortunately the hotel didn’t have an option to add on a topper and it really affected my sleep quality during the two nights we were there. However, preference for a softer mattress is personal. Would have been nice if the hotel has toppers prepared for guests who prefer a softer bed. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I’d recommend for anyone visiting lugu lake."

"Dingxia Island: The Forest Tea House Hidden in the Mountain Night, the Biggest Surprise of This Trip Beyond the beautiful lakes and mountains of Lugu Lake, Dingxia Island offered an experience that far exceeded my expectations. While the gorgeous lake-view rooms were a highlight, it was the forest tea house, meticulously crafted within the resort, that truly captivated me. The entire resort is built harmoniously with the mountain slopes, featuring staggered old wooden cabins, thatched roofs, and scattered tent accommodations nestled amongst the pine trees. As night falls, warm string lights illuminate the pathways, blending seamlessly with the evening, the pines, and the vegetation, creating an incredibly enchanting atmosphere. Strolling along the stone steps, each turn reveals a new picturesque scene—be it a triangular tent or an independent wooden tea room—each space possessing its own unique charm. I particularly loved the forest tea house. These independent wooden tea structures, set amidst the woods, with paper lanterns, low tea tables, and futon cushions, perfectly encapsulate the essence of the wilderness and tea culture. Sitting here brewing a pot of Pu'er, with the deep mountains visible through the window and the evening breeze rustling through the pine branches, all urban anxiety and fatigue simply melt away. It's an ideal spot for a quiet tea gathering for two, or a small salon-style meeting with friends, offering an unparalleled ambiance. The LOFT duplex lake-view room we stayed in was equally impressive. With its two-story layout, the space felt expansive and comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the entire Lugu Lake, and the tatami tea table by the window was perfect for enjoying the lake and mountain sunset at leisure. All the hardware was brand new, the lighting was soft and sophisticated, and the heating was ample. Parking for self-drivers was convenient, making our travels worry-free. The staff provided genuine and thoughtful service, offering practical local recommendations without being overly polite. This place offers not only prime, front-row views of Lugu Lake but also a unique mountain forest tea space. It's more than just accommodation; it's a destination where you can immerse yourself in tea and unwind. Whether you're traveling with family or with fellow tea enthusiasts, Dingxia Island is well worth a special trip to Lugu Lake. "This hotel, located in the Sichuan part of Lugu Lake, is currently one of the top three hotels in the area. The scenery is breathtaking, and trust me, it's absolutely worth every penny. The hotel is nestled halfway up a mountain, offering panoramic views of Lugu Lake. Upon entering the lobby, you're immediately greeted by the immense floor-to-ceiling windows, perfectly framing Lugu Lake's blue skies and white clouds. The impressive wall of foreign liquor behind the bar is also quite a sight. They've even built a dedicated bonfire area in the Mosuo style, perfect for evening tea gatherings. I stayed in a lake view twin room, and since there weren't many guests, I was assigned a room on the same level as the lobby. The room is about 55 square meters, and you can simply sit on the balcony and admire the stunning Lugu Lake. To the left of the entrance is the washroom, stocked with Appelles toiletries in small bottles, which have a lovely scent. The bathtub even came with a rubber ducky, bath salts, and a special herbal sachet formulated by the hotel, incorporating local Mosuo customs. You can enjoy a truly beautiful herbal bath. Of course, at this price point, electric toilets and Dyson hairdryers are standard. The welcome amenities were incredibly generous. I secretly asked the team, and apparently, everyone receives this, which made me, as someone without Marriott elite status, feel very balanced. The minibar was also complimentary, and the drinking water was from Bama Platinum Spring, I rarely see canned Bama water. For dinner, I decided to stay in and try the yak hotpot at the hotel restaurant. This is something I highly recommend trying! My impression of yak meat had always been dried jerky, so I'd never had fresh yak. The soup in this hotpot was indescribably delicious. Highly, highly recommend! Just remember to book about 5 hours in advance, as the soup is slow-simmered, and it's absolutely delicious! I gulped down two bowls in one sitting! In the evening, you can arrange a hotel photo shoot, go to a local bonfire party, or simply take a stroll around, watch the sunset over Lugu Lake, admire the 'water hyacinths' (a local flower), and see Mount Gemu Goddess in the afterglow. After sunset, everyone can gather by the bonfire in the lobby. Local Mosuo uncles will freshly churn butter tea for guests, roast sweet potatoes and regular potatoes, and share stories of Mosuo walking marriages (P.S. stay until the end, and there might be a bonus surprise). Later at night, if you're not sleepy and the weather is good, you can go to the outdoor pool on the 5th floor to photograph the stars. The vast universe is breathtakingly beautiful. It's strange, only photos taken with an iPhone looked natural; Huawei and Samsung just didn't cut it (don't argue, if you do, it means my photography skills are lacking). The next morning, you absolutely *must* try the chef's Roujiamo (Chinese meat burger) and steamed buns. That Roujiamo kept me longing for more; I ate one and a half of those and five buns, I simply couldn't eat any more. The Roujiamo was even better than what I've had in Xi'an. Finally, I want to say that the entire hotel team is the best I've encountered in recent years. From the General Manager to the Head Chef to the front desk ladies, everyone was wonderful. Whether it was the welcome tea upon check-in or the sweet oranges they insisted I take when I checked out, every detail, every interaction, made me feel like this is a truly special place. Because of them, the entire hotel shines brightly on the shores of Lugu Lake!"

"I brought my kids to Lugu Lake and was worried about the guesthouse's conditions before checking in. However, it completely exceeded my expectations and gave my kids so many pleasant surprises. Now I understand why it has so many good reviews! 👍 First, the service: every staff member was warm and polite. Someone always helped us with our luggage upon arrival and departure. Our 'Zhoma' (staff member) in particular was enthusiastic, thoughtful, and meticulous, truly making us feel at home! 👍 The hotel environment is truly excellent, right by the lake. Sitting on the balcony, sipping coffee and enjoying the lake view was incredibly relaxing. It was very quiet at night; besides the sound of the waves, there was hardly any noise. Even I, who has extremely high standards for sleeping environments, slept soundly until morning! 👍 The hygiene and cleanliness were even more impressive. You can tell the owner pays great attention to detail. All disposable amenities were provided, including disposable toilet seat covers, disinfectant wipes, and even feminine products. I didn't even need to use my own disposable items! 👍 Plus, the hotel also offered a nine-grid breakfast, afternoon tea, and goodnight desserts. Every little detail was incredibly thoughtful! 👍 If I ever get the chance to visit Lugu Lake again, or if friends come to visit, I will definitely recommend this hotel! 👍👍👍"

"The lake-view room was breathtaking—as soon as you open the door, you're greeted by the stunning blue waters. The room was both very clean and quiet. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly; not only did they provide station pick-up and drop-off services, but they also helped carry our luggage all the way to the room. The breakfast offered a great variety, and you can also order lunch at the lobby lounge, which features dishes with distinct local flavors. The free photography service provided by the hotel turned out amazing results as well. Sitting on the balcony and taking in the views of Lugu Lake was so relaxing—it's the ultimate getaway spot for a vacation."

"The super large windows directly face Lugu Lake, and the duplex structure allows you to wake up on the second floor and immediately see the beautiful lake view. The room is equipped with a washing machine, which is a convenient design, but the noise is a bit loud, and the size is a bit small. It might be time for an upgrade! The large showerhead in my room seemed to be broken; the water sprayed out from the top and sides, likely due to a detached seal. I'd recommend repairing or replacing it. It comes with a standalone dryer, which I personally find more effective than a tumble dryer. The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic, from greeting me at the entrance upon check-in to offering various tour routes before my outing the next day. Every interaction was met with a cheerful smile. They can help you book a 'pig trough boat' ride at Lovers' Wharf, following the Grass Sea → Flower Sea → Underwater Grass Sea route, where you can see 'water-loving poplar' flowers (Water Hyacinth). The price is 220 yuan per boat. Since I didn't inquire about the price on site (they say you can bargain there), I'm not sure if this price is a good deal. The Left Bank Right Bank restaurant, where the front desk is located, is actually part of the same guesthouse. There's a live singer every day, and they offer free song requests. Enjoying afternoon tea while listening to music is very pleasant. In the evening, they offer a complimentary sweet soup (tremella soup) as a nightcap. Breakfast is a fixed set, including small steamed buns, sweet potatoes, steamed dumplings, corn, and more. For drinks, you can choose coffee, milk, or soy milk; for the main course, you can choose millet porridge or rice noodles. Overall, the experience was excellent."
