"Just finished a two-night, three-day business and leisure trip in Shantou, and I stayed at the Shantou State Guest Hotel. The experience was truly amazing value for money, so I absolutely have to share it with anyone planning a trip to Shantou! 📍 The location is incredibly convenient! The hotel is located at No. 52 Jinsha Middle Road, Jinping District, right in the heart of the China Travel Service business district. It's just a 5-minute walk to Longyan South Road Food Street, so after a late night working, you can easily grab a bowl of hot changfen or an oyster pancake without any hassle. It's a 10-minute taxi ride directly to Mixc City, which is super convenient for browsing trendy brands and buying souvenirs on the weekends. Getting to Shantou Station only takes about 20 minutes by car, so there's no need to rush for your high-speed train. If you're driving, the hotel also offers free parking, which is another convenience. The service details were heartwarming everywhere. Check-in was very efficient, and the front desk lady proactively offered iced tea, instantly dispelling the summer heat of the south. The biggest surprise was the sweet soup served every evening. They were freshly made, sweet but not cloying, and were particularly comforting after a late night working. The room was comfortable and practical. The space was very spacious. The bedding was just the right firmness, which is a blessing as business trips can be tiring. I slept incredibly soundly these past few nights. The toiletries smelled great and were high quality. The room even thoughtfully provided disposable bathtub liners and bath salts, which I made sure to use for a hot bath, completely relieving the day's fatigue. Business travelers don't need to worry either. The desk and chair in the room were spacious and functional, and the internet speed was stable, perfect for getting work done. Even the cups were sealed, showing excellent attention to hygiene details, which I particularly value. The dining options are rich and authentic. I absolutely have to praise the hotel's Cantonese dim sum breakfast! The shrimp dumplings were authentic with plenty of filling, the siu mai were fresh and flavorful, and there were also classic Chaoshan pastries like liu sha bao (custard buns) and taro cake, all freshly made. The taste was so authentic that there's no need to go out specifically to find a dim sum restaurant. The buffet breakfast at the 25th-floor revolving restaurant was also good, with a wide variety, including Chaoshan specialties like congee and beef kway teow, as well as Western options like bread and fried eggs. Eating while overlooking the city view really brightened my morning. If you don't feel like going out, the hotel also has Chinese dishes available to order, and the taste is equally impressive. The nearby must-visit Shantou Small Park is 3.6KM from the hotel, a 15-minute taxi ride away. It's perfect for taking vintage-style photos and it's free with no reservation needed! Whether it's for a business trip, a romantic getaway, or a family vacation, this hotel is perfectly suited for all, offering excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose it again next time!"

"My stay was smooth and pleasant. The hotel is right by West Lake, so you can see the beautiful lake views as soon as you step outside. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the room had good natural light. The desk and chairs were perfectly adequate, and the power outlets were conveniently placed for easy charging. The cleanliness was impeccable; there was no dust on the floor or tabletops. The soundproofing was decent, so it wasn't noisy at night. The front desk staff were responsive and patiently answered all my questions. The value for money was excellent. If you're visiting the ancient city, choosing this hotel means you won't have to rush around for transportation."

"The past few days in Chaozhou have been scorching, with temperatures at 36°C and a 'feels like' temperature of 43°C – absolutely sweltering! The hotel thoughtfully provided an extra power card, so every time I returned drenched in sweat from exploring, the best part was being greeted by a blast of cold air and a chilled bottled water from the mini-fridge – pure bliss! The reception area also had a fridge stocked with plenty of complimentary bottled water, which was a very nice touch. Inside the room, there were some local Chaoshan snacks, which were quite tasty. When I inquired where to buy them, the hotel even had an auntie bring us more to sample – I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is only about 100 meters from Kaiyuan Temple, making it incredibly convenient to walk to attractions like the Ancient City, Guangji Bridge, and Xima Road. I even walked to Guangji Bridge three times in one day and didn't feel tired. There are also plenty of food options and souvenir shops nearby. The room was spotlessly clean, and the pillows were very comfortable. The lovely ladies at reception and the cleaning aunties were all very warm and provided excellent service. Because the heat was so unbearable, I decided last minute to have lunch at the snack shop right next door. I ordered Chaozhou braised platter rice and pig offal kway teow, and to my surprise, they were incredibly delicious – tasting just like traditional home-cooked Chaozhou food. The pig offal kway teow had a light flavor, and for only 15 yuan, it was packed with ingredients; adding black vinegar elevated the taste even further. This hotel is definitely worth recommending!"

"The room offers a beautiful view of the coastline! It's also very close to all the popular Shantou food spots, only about a 15-minute drive. A special thank you to Yuhas from the Marriott switchboard! Their service was incredibly detailed and thoughtful! Even though our stay in Shantou was short, just one day, it felt like coming home. Every aspect was perfectly taken care of! We'll definitely stay at Shantou Marriott again next time!"

"The decor style is quite retro (Shanghai's 'Old Kela' style), and the layout is very well-designed. The vanity, toilet, and shower are all separated for wet and dry areas. The front desk ladies were super helpful, assisting with luggage storage and retrieval, and even gave a souvenir upon check-out. However, there were some small details that weren't quite right, like a layer of dust on the remote control – though we didn't even turn on the TV that day, so the overall experience was slightly diminished."

"Come to Shantou to travel and stay at Yixuan Qingju Hotel, the experience is full! There is a large parking lot at the door, and it is especially worry-free to drive over and park. The room is very new, the facilities are all available, the sound insulation effect is very good, and the rest is quiet at night. The front desk service is warm and intimate, and the check-in efficiency is high. The location is also very friendly. It is very convenient to go out and take a taxi to eat steamed bread beef hot pot and steamed snacks. It is very convenient to go shopping and play. I will choose here next time I come to Shantou. It is highly recommended!"

"Getting around by taxi was super convenient; whether we were going to tourist spots or hunting for food, it was smooth sailing. The moment we walked into the hotel lobby, we were awestruck – the two-story high ceiling made the space incredibly grand and impressive, and there was even a Rolls-Royce parked in the middle. Right then, I felt like this trip was totally worth it! We stayed on the 16th floor, and as soon as we entered the room, we were captivated by the stunning city view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The room amenities were also very thoughtful, including wireless charging and a spacious shower area. We could walk to Longyan South Road Food Street and MixC shopping mall, covering all our dining, drinking, and shopping needs. After eating, we could come back for a swim, and there's also a gym nearby where we could burn off some calories. No stress about eating too much! The breakfast was a buffet with a rich variety of options!"

"The location is super convenient! On the day I arrived, I passed by it on the way from the high-speed rail station to Vientiane City. I stayed here the day before going to Nanao Island and again after returning. Bus 105 is incredibly convenient! How convenient? I could see a notification that the bus was arriving in 1 minute, and still make it to the bus stop in time. There are many great food options nearby. I walked to Xingyun Longfenglou and Guibin Niu Beef Hotpot (both extremely popular places), and it took me less than 15 minutes. There are also lots of delivery options. I ordered pig's trotters rice and preserved fruit via delivery to my room, and the delivery person brought it upstairs, which is much faster than waiting for a robot. Service was excellent. My room was upgraded both days, and the bedding was the most comfortable I've experienced during my entire trip – I fell asleep so quickly! On the day of check-out, I had to catch an early high-speed train, which was outside their operating hours, but they still arranged a car for me. The experience was fantastic! They even gave me a souvenir when I left. Everything was so thoughtful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shantou!"
