The staff were truly outstanding. Everyone was incredibly kind, always smiling, and ready to help whenever we needed anything. They even gave us some local traditional snacks, which was a very thoughtful and heart-warming touch.

"Facilities: The simple old house remodeled homestay will make me feel like I am home. The boss often goes out to visit. Two afternoons, I was alone in the homestay. It was the first time I met such a Buddhist homestay owner.
Hygienic: The bathroom uses a smart toilet, and the bath towel is disposable.
Environment: Wangzhong is quiet, a few steps to Gongchenmen. I took a small yellow car directly to the door of the hotel. No noise will be heard at night.
Service: Just stayed, shared a series of Weishan tourist routes and local food inquiries.
The owner of the homestay is a young man operating alone. I admire his strong life in Weishan, no matter what the reason. If you see this comment. Support him more, after all, I didn't have him brave."

"Thank you for your hospitality during my two-night stay. You were incredibly kind and helpful, both when I arrived before check-in time and when I checked in again after exploring the ancient city. The owner patiently listened to my broken Chinese and spoke slowly and clearly using short phrases, so communication was never a problem.
The cleanliness and amenities were more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. My room was near the entrance on the first floor, so I wondered if the noise of people coming and going at night might be a concern, but it wasn't a problem at all.
On the day of check-out, when I mentioned I would be leaving early in the morning, they told me to leave my room card at the counter and that the hotel entrance door would be open, so I could just leave.
However, when I left my room at 5 AM the next morning, the lights were on at the entrance and the door was clearly slightly ajar. I think they were being considerate because it was still dark. I left Weishan Ancient City with a warm feeling in my heart. Thank you very much.
I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the opportunity."

"Weishan is truly a hidden gem, and this homestay we chose is just as wonderful! The location is perfect, right next to Mengyang Park, with fresh air and the sound of birds. It's a five-minute walk to the Avant-Garde Bookstore and also five minutes to the ancient city. When we arrived, the lovely lady at the front desk saw we were staying for three nights and said she wanted to make us more comfortable, so she upgraded our room for free. That was incredibly thoughtful! The double sinks were super convenient for two people, and the bathroom was spacious and comfortable with excellent hot water. Every day, fresh fruit was delivered, and we could enjoy complimentary coffee. The breakfast card let us try famous local dishes like Lao Wang's Guojiang Ersi and Su Laosan's Yigen Mian nearby. All the ladies at the front desk were so enthusiastic and attentive. This was a very satisfying homestay experience, and I've already recommended it to friends who are visiting soon!"

"To escape the frenzy of Kunming ancient town, we took a 2.5 hr train ride to Weishan - an authentic, uncommercialized old town with the splendid Yuan Chuang Yi Su hotel.
The bed is super comfortable, and the window seat great for relaxing after a truly hot shower. Sanitized towels are delivered daily in sealed bags and CGTN for foreign guests is available on a huge TV!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su's owner is a Mensch. His fluency in English and passion for his adopted town enriched our China trip. He sensed my vegetarian needs and whisked me off to the local market!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su is the smartest, but the least expensive of our 28 day trip in Guangdong - Yunnan.
We relished the smart set-up, the gleaming interior and delightful neighborhood of eateries.
The hotel is truly a train-rider's dream: just 25 minute walk away from Weishan Railway station and 5 minutes from the inexpensive tourist buses that take you as far as Weibaoshan and East Lotus Village."

"The luckiest thing about this trip was to book this homestay! The door is instantly relieved of the fatigue of the road, the decoration is warm and stylish, and the real shots are better than the net map. Hygiene is the biggest plus item. The bathroom is dry, the bedding has a sunny smell, the floor is barefoot, and the toiletries are all available.
The landlord was very caring throughout the whole process, sent detailed positioning in advance, waited patiently late, and actively recommended niche attractions and authentic restaurants. The courtyard is very beautiful. The boss's care can be seen everywhere. The boss is very warm and friendly. The lady is beautiful and kind and made us delicious coffee. The room is clean and tidy. Disposable slippers, earmuffs, eye masks, disposable bath towels, disposable toilet mats, toiletries... too complete. The main thing every day is to go around looking for food and being in a daze... This place happens to be on the main street and is not far from the food stores and tie-dye stores where you can check in. If it weren't for the lack of vacation, I really want to stay longer.

As an SLH hotel, I had high expectations before arriving, but was ultimately disappointed.
However, it's not all bad. The following met my expectations:
1) Good maintenance and design of public areas
2) Xiao Gong from the restaurant was proactive and attentive to detail.
3) The alpaca feeder at the construction site in the backyard saw me looking at the alpacas through a gap in the back and pointed me through the bamboo grove in the construction area, even bringing me carrots to feed them (the message in the check-in group said carrots would be placed on the table, but they weren't).
The following did not meet my expectations:
1) Poor soundproofing in the room, and limescale in the sink and stains on the bathroom walls;
2) I needed tea sets to send a message, but they weren't delivered to my room even after two days, and I was too lazy to send another message;
3) Besides the aforementioned food and beverage service and the shuttle service at the North Gate of the Old Town, there were no other services, and no proactive service was provided. The card making experience was completely self-service; you had to find the paper and ink yourself from the cabinet, resulting in the card making tools and boards being in poor condition.

The facilities truly reflect the owner's dedication; it's a three-story building with an elevator, and the decor and amenities are new, smart, and spotlessly clean. Even the toiletries are made of wood – fantastic! 👍🏻 The service is also excellent; they thoughtfully provided pick-up and drop-off service from the station and breakfast. My stay was comfortable and hassle-free, offering better value than branded hotels. Definitely my next choice! 😊

I had my eye on Qingsu when I was planning my trip to Weishan, or rather, I came to Weishan specifically for Qingsu. Stepping into the guesthouse felt like coming home; everything was comfortable and intriguing. I couldn't capture its beauty in photos; you can refer to the room photos – the actual place is definitely more captivating. But what made it even more delightful was the exceptional hospitality of the owners, the young female security guards, and the impeccable cleanliness. The balcony was beautiful, making laundry a pleasure. The parking lot was right next door, and there was even a car wash. One of the photos I uploaded shows the guesthouse from the car wash. It's also very close to Weishan Ancient Town. Definitely worth staying here!

There is a free shuttle service between Weishan Station and the hotel. When booking, if you tell them your high-speed train time, they will pick you up on time, and when you return, you can ask the front desk and they will take you back to the station.
You need to walk about 15 minutes to Weishan Ancient City, a tourist attraction.
The room was clean and very spacious, and you could control the curtains and lights with your voice.
The toilet and shower room were separate, and all the necessary amenities were provided.
If you are going to Weibaoshan, you can buy advance tickets at the front desk, which are cheaper than same-day tickets, so I recommend buying them in advance.

I loved my stay there. Luxury in an old remote town.
USB chargers had turbo mode.
Curtains perfectly blocked the light.
Hot shower with proper water pressure.
However, toilet was annoying. It is as loud as one on the airplane, and auto flushes as soon as you move a little bit. Otherwise it would be 5 stars for amenities too.
Service was great, and I can easily compare it to 4 stars hotels in big cities.
For a foreigner, check in took about 40 seconds, which is super fast.
Roof has a nice terrace with tables.
