"The itinerary was basic, but the hotel was anything but. We stayed at a truly elegant hotel on the other side of the Xiaodong River. I pondered for a long time what words to describe it. It had a wabi-sabi feel, yet the details were human and warm. It had a traditional style, yet the rooms reflected a technological and modern aesthetic. Finally, I realized this might be the ”quality” we were looking for. It's said that the owner had previously worked as a teacher, then achieved financial independence by starting a tech company. In his 50s, he built a hotel, freed from worldly scrutiny and able to design and operate it to his own taste. In the evening, I sat in the lounge, enjoying a rich cocktail, listening to the graceful guzheng music, and observing the beautiful young women. All my emotional wrinkles were smoothed out, leaving behind a stable core. Not only the food and accommodation, but also the hotel's cultural experience programs were thoughtfully curated. The hotel also has its own dock with direct access to the Xiaodong River Visitor Center on the other side. Riding on a bamboo raft, the river breeze caressed my face, making me feel that life is beautiful and life is precious."

"This time, a few friends agreed to go out for a walk. For this reason, compared with many homestays, they finally decided to park Harajuku. After the stay, the whole process was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was close to the lower reaches of Xiaodongjiang. The location advantage of the river was full when I went out. "Right after parking at the guesthouse's back entrance, even before I stepped into the room, I caught a glimpse of the shimmering river nearby. A gentle breeze, carrying the fresh scent of the water, instantly swept away the fatigue from my journey. When I checked in, the owner smiled and told me the room had a direct river view. The moment I opened the door, I was completely stunned—the floor-to-ceiling window offered a full panoramic view of the river. The river was wide, and I could take in the lush greenery and walkways on both banks, even the distant bridge was clearly visible. I didn't even need to step outside; I could simply sit on the sofa by the window and enjoy the entire river view. The room also had a balcony. In the evening, I watched the sunset slowly dip into the river, painting the water in warm golden hues. At night, I saw the lights on the opposite bank gradually illuminate, creating a particularly soothing night scene with the sparkling water. The sanitation is really good, the decoration is relatively new, the whole house is smart, the living is particularly comfortable, the children go out to play, and when they go back, they say that we have to go back to that hotel. The boss and the proprietress have excellent service, helping to book tickets to various scenic spots, not only have discounts, but also can be refunded at any time. Originally planned to fly to Tianshan in the morning, Gaoyiling in the afternoon, and Yangtian Lake the next day. As a result, a flying mountain played for five or six hours, and I couldn't go to Gaoyiling. I told the boss to help me retreat directly, which was very efficient. The important thing is to say again, the living environment is really OK, there is no big difference between the four-star and five-star I usually live on business trips, mainly clean. The service attitude is also first-class. Unfortunately, Mangshan and Yangtian Lake did not send it raining, and I will continue to choose this one next time.

I didn’t expect hotel bookings to be so popular during the Spring Festival holiday. We arrived at Mugen Youth Hostel at around 10 pm on the third day of the Chinese New Year. Since we were traveling as a family, the male and female combination did not quite meet the requirements of the youth hostel. However, the owner was careful and enthusiastic in contacting a room for us. Unfortunately, the surrounding area was too crowded that night. In the end, he still found a way to make room for us, solving the big problem of accommodation. I give a big thumbs up to that group of enthusiastic young people 👍 Moreover, the accommodation and sanitary environment of the hostel are really quite good, the price is affordable, and the room is clean and tidy. Even a middle-aged aunt like me was surprised. The rooms are divided into male and female rooms, and they are not mixed. A room usually has six beds, two bathrooms, spacious space, and private storage space. There are public entertainment facilities outside, including a book bar, games, billiards, etc. It is really suitable for young backpackers.

This hotel wasn't very crowded, and I'm so grateful to the owner for the free upgrade – it really enhanced our experience! The room was clean, the toiletries were high-quality, and there was a large screen TV. The butler service was very thoughtful, definitely a bonus! They even helped with our luggage! The common area on the first basement level was warmly decorated, and the back door on that level opens right onto the riverside, making for a great environment. If I ever go to Chenzhou or Zixing again, I'll definitely choose Zide!

For our first night driving through Chenzhou, we chose this guesthouse inside the scenic area. You can drive right to the guesthouse entrance, and the staff will help you with your luggage upstairs. The view upon entering was stunning, overlooking the Xiaodong River; the emerald green water instantly soothed the fatigue of the long drive. The room was very clean and fully equipped, with disposable cups, toilet seat covers, and face towels – a definite plus. However, because it's inside the scenic area, there aren't many places to eat or shop. But you can order in advance and have the restaurant cook for you; the food is just as good as what you'd find elsewhere. The No. 4 viewing area is only a few hundred meters away, and a short walk down the path you can see fishermen casting their nets. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

I have to recommend this B&B I stayed in when I traveled some time ago! The location is great, close to the scenic area, and there are various specialty snack shops around. Once you enter the room, it is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm, giving you a homely feeling. Although the facilities are not super luxurious, they are complete and easy to use. I have to praise the lady at the front desk, she is very enthusiastic! She was thoughtful and turned on the air conditioner in advance. Seeing that there were three of us staying, she proactively replenished toothbrushes, disposable slippers and water. She was very responsible. At first I thought she was the boss, but later I found out that she was not. It was really worry-free for the boss to have such responsible employees. The lady also contacted me in advance to tell me the detailed route. After checking in, she also shared many niche attractions and food tips that only locals know. Living here is as comfortable as visiting a friend's house. It is very cost-effective and must be praised! Next time I come here, I will definitely choose this one!

The hotel environment was excellent, and the rooms were fully equipped. Located by Dongjiang Lake, the view of the lake was immediately apparent upon opening the curtains. The two receptionists were very friendly. They even provided a complimentary breakfast for our group of three, which was fantastic. The staff reminded us to only book the room if we were satisfied, to avoid having to pay a discount if we were not happy with it. Seeing how attentive and responsible the staff were, and being very satisfied with the room, we booked immediately. Overall, we were very satisfied.

The B&B environment is amazing! It's a good place to travel! The environment is particularly good! This homestay is very comfortable! Backed by the mountains in the villa area! Very quiet and not noisy! The air is so fresh! Moreover, if you go to the West Railway Station, the B&B will help you book a car, which is really amazing. When we left, the owner was also very nice and helped us book a car to Chenzhou West Railway Station. When we first arrived, the owner recommended us a restaurant that the locals go to, and even lent us an electric scooter for us to go around! ! It’s really good! It is also very close to Xiaodong River. You can walk to the scenic area with your ID card and take a bus. And! ! Even the tickets to the scenic spot were booked by the boss, and no other handling fees were charged! ! The lady is really awesome! class! good! Look at the pictures, babes

The hotel is conveniently located in-between Gaoyiling scenic area and Dongjiang Lake, approximately 6 km to both scenic spots. Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient. Room is large, clean and comfortable. And room heater operates smoothly. Staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and has many varieties. We were satisfied with our stay here and will recommend to our family members and friends.
