"Before writing this review, I thought for too long about whether I should write this or not.
I wish people didn't know how friendly and warm the staff at this hotel is.
I wish other people didn't know how happy it is to eat a delicious breakfast while listening to the sound of birds and carriages and the sea breeze.
I wish people didn't know how enjoyable it is to walk back to room with a clean and beautifully maintained garden.
Above all, I hope the others don't know how fantastic it is to sit on the beach in front of the hotel and drink beer while watching the sunset.
I hope that when I travel here again, people will notice what this place is good and it won't be so full that I won't be able to stay here.
I was planning to stay on the Gili for two days, but stayed for two more. Although I had to give up southern Bali tour, I was able to have a happier time thanks to it.

"It's almost like family. All the staff are extremely friendly and provide impeccable service. The villas are really beautifully designed and invite you to relax. It’s 10mins walk from the jetty to the resort. Resort is located at turtle point and is more quiet compared to the hotels/resorts near the jetty. You will be welcomed with cold towel and it is so soothing after walking under the hot sun. The resort is so beautiful from the outside and their room especially their bathroom is Da bomb!! Their staffs are so thoughtful and attentive. they They set up our room very nicely when they know we are coming for honeymoon. They gave us complimentary cake. Their breakfast spread is good and decent. By far the best resort I have stayed in Lombok with such a steal promo from agoda. Will definitely recommend couples to stay here and we will definitely be back to stay at AlMarik. Thanks you for the superb hospitality.❤️"

"The staff were amazing like everywhere in Bali, always happy to help & offered me specific meals for when I had Bali belly.
The room itself was quite small & bathroom was not amazing.
I did sleep well as the blinds are good and air con can easily be adjusted.
Water is provided but really they could give more than one bottle so you don’t have to request more.
I booked this place because reviews said breakfast was amazing but I honestly didn’t think it was that special. You pick a main off a menu & then there is a buffet of pastries (which were very good for hotel pastries), fruit & juice. Coffee is additional which for the price really should be included. Maybe better depending on what you order from the menu.
Location is the far side from the port but every resort still turns into a party venue playing loud music from 4pm. Can we not just sit and watch the sunset listening to the waves?
Beach on this side has a lot of coral/rocks so swimming in the ocean you need water shoes."

"We stayed for 2 nights in one of the rooms with private plunge pool; it was a great feature and made our stay unique. The outdoor bathroom was another unique feature, it was very cool but meant sometimes there would be insects. The hotel is located on beach on the east of the island where the boats dock and where most of the higher end bars/restaurants are. Also where most of the main party spots are. As soon as you walk out, you can hear the loud music. Thankfully we couldn’t hear this from the room. Breakfast was outstanding and the view from the restaurant stunning."

"It is located a bit far from the center. Decent place. Staff are mixed bags. Sometimes, they respond in 5 minutes, sometimes in two hours, and sometimes don't respond, nor do adresse the questions. I asked to speak with the manager, was told he's eating and I will have to wait for him for 10 minutes. I was planning to stay two months with them, but changed my mind afterward.
It has potential if the owners address these small issues and provide training to their staff."

"Gili Tenda Resort was great, the staff there are so welcoming and helpful. You have to get a horse and carriage to the property if you have a lot of luggage however once you’re there you’re within walking distance from everything as the island is very small. You can hire bikes from the property which is what we did and it’s about 55000 for one day which is 24 hours. You can also hire snorkel stuff from them too. My room was very clean as was the rest of the property. Can’t fault anything."

The location is very remote, next to a farm. Often the farms burn wood and make bonfires and the rooms often smell like bonfire.
The hotel offers one choice of fruit, omelette or toast for breakfast.
Very small rooms with no safe.
The hammocks haven’t been cleaned and some are mouldy.
The bathroom is located outside, therefore if you do not like the outdoors, this hotel might not be for you.

CCN Man 420We stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children.
The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first.
I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home.
We originally booked 3 nights and very quickly decided to add on to our stay. Thanks so much Ren and Team for an unforgettable visit!

The detailed service is so great that you can see the delicate consideration for the guests in every corner of the accommodation. The best part was being able to take a shower outside while looking at the stars floating in the night sky. I had Eggs Benedict for breakfast, and it was the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. I would like to stay for more than 2 nights next time I visit.

While the hotel's facilities are adequate and its location offers acceptable proximity to the port, the poor service we experienced did not justify the significantly higher price we paid for a supposedly four-star resort.
Specifically, the bidet in our assigned room was not functioning. When we reported this, a front office supervisor named Ute was demonstrably dishonest, claiming that all rooms had non-functional bidets due to a 'western style' and offering more toilet tissue as a solution. This excuse proved false when we checked several other rooms of the same type and found their bidets to be working perfectly. Upon confronting Ute with this discrepancy, she continued to deny her initial statement, offering unreasonable excuses and failing to provide any apology or resolution. It was only after escalating the issue to the Manager on duty that we were finally moved to another room with a functioning bidet. The fact that a HOTEL SUPERVISOR LIED to keep us in a room with a known issue while others were available is unacceptable.
Despite the convenient location, I cannot recommend this hotel due to the substandard service and lack of transparency. There are likely other establishments in the area that offer a far superior experience for the price.

GGuest UserDon’t believe the pictures in the advertisement! They don’t reflect reality. The pictures pretend that the hotel is at least a 4 * location. The truth is that this is not the case! It is located at a very poor area in mid of the island where local people burn their trash including plastic. The smell is disgusting it is everywhere, in your room also during night and it burns in your eyes. The hotel is run by a group of very young unprofessional boys and I would like to emphasise that they are really friendly, kind and helpful and try to do their best. They also prepare breakfast in a kitchen which is disgusting! Therefore, I preferred to have breakfast at a proper place even though breakfast was included. See the attached fotos to get an impression what expects you and better choose another hotel if you want to enjoy your holidays. I had to pay 400 € for 3 nights, it is not worth half the price. I tried to get a reimbursement but the hotel didn’t accept. They obviously see the hotel as a cash cow and not a place where their guest should feel comfortable. This was very frustrating! At the end Trip. com accepted my complaint and offered me help. My advice: Choose a hotel at the beach, there are so many!

IIuliia MiagotinaI really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Great room design, caring and pleasant staff, delicious breakfasts. Magnificent territory. Dining area with a view of the sea. You can rent masks and see turtles. A beautiful reef to the right of the hotel area, they take you here for snorkeling. Usually arrives after 10 and before 11 am. After lunch around 4.30 pm. In the evening, Disney cartoons. Wonderful pool (far), tennis table and pool table under a canopy. There is a volleyball court.

XxcratLocation is good, thats why i chose this hotel. Its not on the main street. But Im solo guy so this is best for me. Near to jetty and near to one and only night market and main night life area and all cafes. Hotel offers bikes rental and day trips with reasonable price. Its good enough for solo or couple who would go for diving for few days on the island. If u r in gili for more than 2 days, I’d suggest u go north to explore better hotels and different experiences on the island or meno or air would be for you. Very near to the beach for sun rise as well. Bfast is superb and other meals as well. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Pool is normal but they managed to use for the available space for it. Close to local mosque but they do provide some kinda ear plugs for that. But its just few mins during the day. Highly recommended. You cant expect very good hotels on the island with less crowded crowd and this is good enough for few days esp when its close to the jetty to leave.

Construction happening all day around the bungalow, close to the live band inside the restaurant and the mosque makes the stay very noisy, no Wi-Fi in the room. I asked about the issue of the Wi-Fi and they said “well ask our IT guy,” then never heard anything about it again.
The staff we nice and friendly, but it wasn’t enough to make the stay more comfortable.
Left a day early due to all the issues mentioned and they wouldn’t refund me. There are better options on the island. Do yourself a favour and pick one of those.
