"The room is okay, but why would the hotel make a transparent bathroom like this? As a normal person, it just doesn't make sense. There's no moral or human decency here. Bathrooms should be enclosed and private. Why use glass? We don't want people or our family seeing us use the toilet. Please use some common sense. Luckily, I was alone; otherwise, how would I have gone to the bathroom with someone else there?"

"The hotel is close to the airport and they offer a bus shuttle free of charge for their guests. The rooms are dated but very clean. We didn’t miss any amenities in the rooms. You also get a free bottle of water. The breakfast is fantastic and varied but don’t expect many western food. Overall a great deal for what you spend. I would really recommend it!"

"Overall it was a pleasant stay for two nights. Asyana hotel has a comfortable environment: We sat by the poolside and enjoyed the gentle wind blowing and while sipping a glass of refreshing lemonade. The room was basic and clean. There were plenty of food choices for breakfast, too. The hotel restaurant also serves nice and reasonably cheap food till 11pm. The location of the hotel is strategic and one can travel to places of attractions in Central Jakarta by e-hailing cars easily."

"“Good for a Transit Stay, but the AI-Driven Service Needs Work” I booked this hotel mainly because of the reviews mentioning the good food and free pick-up/drop-off shuttle service. Communicating with the hotel before check-in to arrange the shuttle was easy through the hotel’s WhatsApp number, which I found on Trip.com. Upon arrival, I noticed that the hotel seems to cater quite heavily to Chinese visitors. There was a line of Chinese guests checking in, and one of the front desk staff spoke Chinese fluently. Some of the notices around the hotel were also written in Chinese, presumably Mandarin. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was nice and helpful. However, I was informed that I needed to install an app to use various hotel services during my stay, including the digital room key and room service. While this may be convenient for some guests, I personally found it a bit of a hassle at the time. The installation itself took some time, followed by an explanation of how to use the system. The food was average, with a reasonable selection of options. However, the refilling of some items was rather slow. For example, the milk for the coffee machine ran out and was not replenished promptly, and at times there was no cook available. The room itself was nice and spacious. One thing I particularly liked was the layout, with the washing area located near the entrance. The toilet unit also looked new. Unfortunately, the towels looked rather shabby and could use an upgrade. Complimentary bottled water was available upon request, which was a nice touch. One of the biggest downsides for me was the lack of a telephone in the room. All service requests have to be made through the app. I had to communicate with an AI chatbot, but the chatbot would often instruct me to go downstairs and confirm the request with the reception desk anyway. I found this rather confusing and wondered what the point of the AI system was if I still had to speak to a staff member in person. It seems the hotel is trying to adapt to AI and reduce the need for human staff, but the system does not seem to work effectively yet. In my experience, it actually added an extra step rather than making things easier. This was especially noticeable during check-out. There was only one front desk staff member, which was surprising. He was very patient and did his best to serve everyone, but the hotel really could have used more staff at that time. As a result, the line became quite long. Had I been informed during check-in that I could simply use the self-service machine to check out, I could have avoided the queue altogether. The location is in the CBC area, although finding the hotel felt a bit like navigating a labyrinth. It wasn't the easiest place to locate, especially for a first-time visitor. Overall, I would say you get what you pay for. For a one-night transit stay, the hotel was acceptable, especially with the free shuttle service and spacious room. However, the hotel could significantly improve its service by having more human staff available and making its AI-based system more practical and user-friendly."

"Room 203: The room was average, but there was a hole behind the bed (see attached photo). The bathroom could use a deeper clean, and the water pressure could be improved. Other than that, it was okay. Room 208: Better than Room 203, but it is located next to the air-conditioning compressor, which was very disturbing. I struggled to get proper sleep throughout my stay. The water pressure could be better, but I enjoyed the in-washlet toilet. Breakfast: Both rooms included breakfast at a reasonable price. The menu was good for the price, although there was no international selection. The ready-made Indomie was a nice touch! However, I noticed a rat coming down from the roof in the restaurant area. The hotel could benefit from better pest control. Overall: A decent place to stay if you want to explore Blok M. However, the hotel needs better pest control, as there were many mosquitoes in the lobby and a rat spotted in the restaurant area. Also, be aware that online taxi drivers have to pay Rp5,000 every time they enter the hotel entrance for drop-offs, and deliveries require an additional entrance fee of Rp3,000, which can be inconvenient."

"Fantastic hotel! You can order food to your room, 100/10 for the price. Excellent rooftop, service, and location. Those who complain about dirty bathrooms seem to forget the price they paid, and that this is Asia 😁 I travel by bike and stay in different hotels every day, and this hotel is definitely in my top 5! 😍 Highly recommend!"

"Excellent as ever. The sheets does have some stain but I guess it's from transportation trolley. It's ok Shower can get quite hot just be careful The staff are always lovely and positive"

"Our stay at Swiss-Belhotel Wahid Hasyim had a bit of a bumpy start, but the staff ultimately made things right. Upon check-in, we were initially assigned a small room with a leaking AC, though the front desk promptly changed it for us. Later that evening, after walking around the area, we realized our room layout didn't match the photos shown on Trip.com. It was quite cramped—with the bed pushed right against the wall and very little space to move—and lacked the sofa and spacious layout shown online. When we asked to move to the correct room type to extend our stay, we initially faced some resistance. However, after voicing our concerns, Ryno from the Front Office consulted his manager and successfully relocated us to the proper room matching the listing photos. The hotel also kindly sent a fruit basket to our room as an apology. Overall, the stay ended up being pleasant. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Sarinah and very close to the main Thamrin-Sudirman area. Special thanks to Ryno for handling the situation professionally!"
