"After walking nervously for several minutes from the train station and seeing this brand-new youth hostel, I was extremely happy. The rooms, public areas, etc. were all much more pleasant. The front desk service was very friendly and efficient, especially the girl named Francesca and the other girl with glasses, but I didn't know her name. In summary, this is definitely a place worth staying. The only suggestion that needs to be given is that the bed numbers are not very obvious and are a bit difficult to find. The shower room lacks hooks for hanging clothes, which is a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the shower door is only half open, which makes it easy for water to splash out, and I think this can easily lead to damage to public hygiene. However, in any case, this brand-new youth hostel definitely offers an excellent experience!"

"The hotel is small, run by some very friendly and helpful guys. Our room was big enough, very basic with a small TV, desk, tiny balcony and shower room. If we were just talking about the room and hotel itself, I would highly recommend it for the price. The location is great for the train stations. Apart from that the neighborhood is not great. There were *********** stood on the street outside our window and there were human faeces in the street. This isn't the fault of the hotel, but I feel that I should tell people as for some this may ruin their trip."

"[A hotel with a convenient and comfortable stay in Naples] It is right in front of the main entrance of Naples Central Station, and is a 2-3 minute walk away. The entrance to the building faces the square in front of the station, but if the door is closed, you will be confused and not know how to get in. In particular, the building door is closed for security reasons, especially in the early morning and at night (this door is shared with other tenants and apartment buildings), and if you press the hotel button next to the door, the front desk staff will unlock it for you. Enter through this building door and go up to the second floor (third floor in Japan, since it is Italy) to reach the hotel front desk. The front desk staff changed every day, but they were very kind and willing to look after our suitcases after we checked out. The room was simple, but a good point was that there were bottled water, bottled beer, and canned cola in the refrigerator for free. Of course, there was also an electric kettle and tea bags. Since the room faces the square, it may be noisy through the windows in the morning and evening, but the window doors are double, so this is somewhat alleviated. As for amenities, only the bare necessities were provided (hand soap, single-use packets of shampoo and body soap, and various towels), and you needed to bring everything else with you or purchase it at a nearby store. The best part about the hostel is that it's close to the station, which was convenient for traveling from Naples to the Amalfi Coast, including Pompeii and Sorrento."

"We liked the hotel. It is located on a very busy street. If you open the window, it is noisy. We did not open it. But there are cafes and shops nearby. Breakfast is 10 euros, not 8 euros, as stated in the description on the trip.com website. The breakfast was good. "The location couldn't be better, directly opposite the train station entrance. It felt very safe too, with police and patrol cars consistently present downstairs. Getting to Pompeii by metro, bus, or train was incredibly easy from here. It has the charm of an older, established hotel, offering excellent value for money. We were within easy walking distance of famous spots for Neapolitan and fried pizzas. Our room was a decent size and even included a small balcony. A minor point was that staff would sometimes enter the room even when cleaning wasn't requested. Breakfast was a letdown for me due to the constant presence of small flying insects."

Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. "The room was spacious and the night bed was prepared thoughtfully. The location was very convenient, right outside the train station, and you could leave your luggage here and move around! You need to get a password to enter the apartment, and there are three houses inside. The upstairs before entering the apartment was not very clean, the building was too old and in disrepair, and a bit dirty. Maybe the buildings in Naples are not very clean?
