📍 Via Galileo Ferraris, 4, Naples

"This was the best hostel I have ever stayed in. It was clean, the common area was spacious, there was air conditioner, it was close to the station, being in so many places in Europe I don’t think I have ever been in a better hostel!"

★★★★ 8.3 (46 reviews)

"The room had character, a stone-built design. It was decent and comfortable, but the window faced inwards so there was no sunlight. The service was good, and breakfast was quite generous, though a bit overpriced compared to similar-standard hotels. The surrounding area wasn't great – a lot of homeless people and some rather rough-looking individuals."

"The elevator requires a 10-cent euro coin during different time periods. When I checked in, I borrowed coins from the gatekeeper and later returned them to him. You can get coins from the front desk when you check in, but no one will provide coins on the day of check-out, so you have to walk down to the ninth floor. Don't put anything you need on the balcony or on the ground. The cleaning guy is an illegal immigrant worker and will throw away everything. I put my underwear and socks in a plastic bag on the ground and asked him to throw it away for me."

"The hotel is incredibly grand, and we were very pleased with the staff’s courteousness; they were incredibly helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room had lovely amenities, and our breakfast was, similarly, very nice. Overall, for the price, we recommend it, since everything was very orderly, and we enjoyed our time, as guests in the Palazzo Caracciolo."

Barbarella Hotel Spa

"This is not a hotel or B&B as described, It’s some kind of room renting ! No coffee or tea bags and when asked the answer was that they didn’t have any !! It was the only time we had seen someone ! The room was not cleaned properly, just one toilet paper ! Only one pillow per person We didn’t felt safe at all as it seemed like we were the only ones in there ."

"A brilliant idea to set up the garden with bungalows with saunas and indoor jacuzzis...the bed is a bit lacking, but otherwise everything was fine. Good breakfast with typical local pastries."

Mia Suites Hotel Bella Capri Hotels in Naples

Mia Suites Hotel Bella Capri

"Bad experience. The property informed us 10 minutes before we were due to check in that they couldn't offer our stay because the toilet was clogged, and later the outside window was broken. Always unclear, I'll start by saying that the property is an apartment divided into rooms. They directed us to another property, telling us we'd have to pay again and fill out a form with all our personal and credit card information, which, at my lawyer's suggestion, I refused to provide. A bad experience, not to be repeated. I do not recommend."

"Service was amazing. Luciano was great and friendly. He helped us with the early check-in and Oriana (we spoke with her just through phone) was amazing too. The lady cleaning and working there was great too: Patrizia was too nice and I am just too sad that I forgot to leave her a big tip. Area is not central but still amazing. Calmer than other areas and nicer for sure. You can easily reach any other part of the city. Also, there are many restaurants and bar close. For us it was also perfect since it is right by the American Embassy, that is where we needed to go. Coffee machine in the common area was also amazing. Best choice and the price was amazing too. I will definitely go back again."

CX Naples Centrale ★★★
"The location is good, but given the condition of the city, I would avoid walking at night if possible. The common area, café, and the kitchen are great, impressive to me. The staffs are very friendly and supportive. The room arrangement is good, two bathrooms and an extra sink for 6-bed dorm. There is even changing space in the room. The towels are provided, look clean. The bedding looks clean too, but I got itchy while using them."

Hostel Partenope ★★★
"I loved this hostel. Everything was very clean—I watched him clean EVERYTHING every single morning as I’m a late riser. I stayed for around a week, and I found the location convenient. It’s about a 30 minute walk to Napoli Centrale, and 20 form the airport. To walk back from Napoli Centrale however there is a big hill that the hostel rests on top off. Kind of unavoidable in Italy, but since I have an injured ankle that did kind of suck. Just something to note. Then again, if you can’t walk up a hill… Italy probably isn’t for you, lol. The amenities are nice. A clean kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, sink, and some spices. It was clean every day. They also provide laundry services—since I purchased a soda and stayed so long he gave it to me for free! He also let me stay all day after my check out!"

"Super clean hotel, the only reason I didn't give it all fives was the outside was full of homeless and shady vendors. But there were plenty of police everywhere in Naples so we walked everywhere. It is so close to train station and pickup point for many tours. Restaurant and rooftop fantastic."

Palazzo Salgar ★★★★
"Good hotel with a quite nice location compared to other places in Napoli, the room is spacious and clean, I particularly like the prices of the Minibar where they don't charge you triple the price but very reasonable prices, breakfast is included in the stay which was amazing for us, variety of pastries and fruits and they offer the famous things to eat in Napoli for free. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bear in my mind that you have to pay an additional amount for tourist taxes."

"First, it's very close to Naples Central train station, less than a 10-minute walk. However, the neighborhood is terrible, full of Black people and pickpockets. We were targeted as soon as we got off the train, and within 10 minutes of walking, a pickpocket stole our bags, opening the zipper from behind. Luckily, only our headphones were taken, nothing of significant value. Second, about the hotel. It's similar to a Airbnb, located on the same floor as other local Airbnbs. The front desk is only open from 2 PM to 8 PM; be careful if you can't check in during these hours. Also, the Wi-Fi password the front desk gave us was incorrect; we couldn't connect. After asking several times, the front desk could only say "I don't know, I don't know..." We couldn't connect to Wi-Fi during our stay. Furthermore, there wasn't enough hot water for showering; two people could only shower once before the hot water ran out. The showerhead was also broken, with a very weak water flow. The room itself was alright, so I could tolerate it for the price… Finally, perhaps due to a common problem with Italian hotels, the room windows weren't double-glazed, making it incredibly noisy due to the street. Italians also love to ride their motorcycles and rev their engines loudly, so I had to bring earplugs at night. Plus, the neighborhood was really scary; at night, a bunch of Black people were screaming and howling in the street…"
