IImeReally nice onsen hotel with an expansive view of the lake/river below and the surrounding mountain. Onsen facilities were great with many different types of baths. Provide free shuttles from/to Ena train station on designated times.

GGuest UserThis place is so beautiful, traditional style rooms and sliding doors, lots of natural wood. It felt like I was in a luxury hotel! The woman who ran in was so kind and friendly, I loved my stay here. I stayed here to hike a portion of the Nakasendo Way- Magome to Tsumago. It’s not close, you have to go to take like 2 or 3 transits to get there, I think it was like 2 hours to get there if I remember. It’s an old, traditional Japanese village- the buildings are really cool. There wasn’t much going on though while I was there, not many restaurants open. I ended up stocking up on food from 7/11 in Ena or Nakatsugawa I think it was to take back with me because there aren’t any stores like that in Iwamura that I found. You can get cash out from the ATM at the post office. This was a very peaceful place and a cool insight into a non-touristy area of Japanese life. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

GGuest UserA basic hotel with all the necessary amenities for daily use. Ideal for travelers taking the train to/from Ena Station before or after the Nakasendo Trail. The small town offers a pleasant stroll with a few hidden gems to discover. Good for a simple, convenient stay.

GGuest UserThis time, it was a trip planned by my wife and parents to commemorate the 30th anniversary of marriage ＆ retirement.
I was happy to have something surprise because there was a column to fill in a special request.
At check-in, the front desk told me to take a commemorative photo at the time of meal, but the staff who called out to me instead of taking a photo by the professional and i was taking it with my smartphone.
I was honestly surprised that another staff member was going around the color 々 seat to take a picture.
So it was a pity that there was nothing in particular about the surprise.
