"This is definitely a fabulous and fantastic experience living in a Ryokan, and this Ryokan is also reputable among local people, which means it is highly recognized by Hitoyoshi residents. Some local residents also spend their time in this Ryokan as a relaxing journey. I ordered the room with breakfast served, and it looked so amazing and delicate. I hope to visit here again in the near future if there will be any chances. I absolutely love this little town."

"The hotel is located in a good location. It is a 5-minute walk from JR Hitoyoshi Station and Aoi Aso Shrine is across the road. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to Kamimura Eel House. The hotel is a building from the Showa era and is a national tangible cultural property, so it is inevitable that the facilities are slightly old. There is an indoor hot spring in the hotel, which is very convenient. The proprietress speaks English, but the staff is limited in English. After staying for two nights, there were more guests on the first night and arranged a room on the first floor. "The hotel is great. It is completely ok. It is 13 square meters, but the personal feeling is more than just. The room is quite large. The bed is also 1 meter 4, 1 meter 5. "The hotel decoration for Christmas was superb & beautiful. Initially when we checked in, the passage way at level 2 had an unpleasant musty smell but a few hours later the smell was gone. I think the hotel should look into improving the ventilation & add some aromatic scent. The breakfast spread for 1320 yen was excellent. There were Japanese as well as Western food choices."

"Within walking distance of JR Hitoyoshi, my grandparents run a guesthouse that's essentially a guesthouse! They live on the first floor, and the guest rooms are upstairs in a small building next door. There are four rooms, but we were the only ones there when we stayed, so we had the common area all to ourselves. 🥹 The room is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, a bathroom, two toilets, and a large living room with a table. If you need to eat, you need to make reservations in advance. Sometimes, if my grandparents aren't available, you'll have to buy food at a convenience store. My grandparents use a translator, which is pretty accurate, so don't worry! They also have bicycles at home, which are free to use. The hotel's Japanese phone number in the Ctrip email isn't quite accurate, so you can ask your previous hotel to check out Morino in Hitoyoshi after you arrive in Japan. You can even take your room key and go to Chaoyangkan (another hot spring hotel) to soak in the hot springs in the evening! It was a real surprise, but my grandparents said it was a partnership, so I don't know if it's always going on, so please take it as a surprise. My grandparents are very nice, and I'd definitely stay there again. 😭 On my first day, I was in a hurry to leave, so they let me check in early, even though I was just trying to drop off my luggage. The hotel closed at 2:00 p.m., and Grandpa, worried we'd miss it, drove us right to the entrance. It was so touching, even though it only took ten minutes to walk there, but it was such a hot day! It was truly comfortable. I especially recommend Mizumi-no-Miya. They only have one set menu each day, and it's run by a grandparents. Japanese communication is easy, and English is also acceptable, though a little challenging, but it's truly worth the money and the food is delicious. It feels like everyone in this small city knows each other, and they even chatted with us about their stay in Morino. It was a truly blissful trip. 😊 The last picture is the correct Japanese phone number for the hotel. I think it's there, but I can't quite remember it. You can try contacting them after you land. I sent an email but didn't get a response. I wonder if the email address Ctrip gave me was wrong. 😤"
