Matsue Hotels with Wifi

There are three machines that can be used for check-in and also exchange for 100 yen coins. ✅ A small gift bag of slippers for children is provided upon check-in. ✅ Water bottles are provided in the rooms. You can refill your water bottle on the 3rd floor. There is also an unmanned vending machine on the 3rd floor with a microwave. ✅ Both men's and women's public baths have washing machines. However, the password for the women's public bath changes daily; please pick it up at the front desk. ✅ Public bath hours: 15:00-24:00 / 6:00-10:00 00 ✅ The front desk staff are all young and provide excellent service. Although their English isn't great, they are very friendly. If you speak English too fast, the staff might not understand you, so it's recommended to use a simple translator to translate it into Japanese and show them the screen. ✅ Check-in is at 2 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. If you want to check out before 2 PM, it costs an extra $1000 yen per hour. ✅ The hotel reminds guests to close the bathroom door when showering to prevent steam from affecting the smoke detector and igniting the fire extinguisher. ✅ The room rate is really cheap. I saw it on Ctrip. The room is 29 square meters. My room cost $79.19 and $91.20 per night. I once booked a room for less than $72 per night, but I canceled it. ✅ Overall, everything was great. The location is great, and the price is exceptionally high, except the pillows aren't very comfortable. 💠There aren't many places to visit in Matsue, so I recommend staying near the station. Even if you don't know how to use public transportation, you can take a bus from the station and back. It's really difficult to hail a taxi on the street. Uber exists, but you can never get one. In the sweltering 35-degree Celsius midday heat, it's unbearably hot! 😭 💠Staying in Matsue allows you to visit Izumo Taisha Shrine, the Adachi Museum of Art in Shimane, and even Yonago and Tottori."

"Old and famous ryokan in town, with old and very nice Japanese garden with its own history. This hotel provide a very large outdoor public hot bath pond which both men and women could use together. Nearby the hotel is a drainage canal with cherry blossom trees along both sides made a wonderful view."

"When you leave the station, don't rely on Google Maps for directions as it might send you on a long detour. Instead, just turn left and the bus stop is right there. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, and they even offer hot spring services, which is a fantastic perk! The front desk staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful."

"Although there were some minuses, such as hair scattered all over the room, water left in the fridge from the previous guest, and the air conditioning in the common areas not working and being hot, there were also positives such as the front desk service and ample amenities, so overall it's an average hotel. Although it's mostly outside, there are a lot of manga on the first floor, which you can take back to your room, so you won't be bored during your stay."

"Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu was our 5th hotel in this journey, and honestly, it set the bar pretty high. The location was hard to beat — right opposite Matsue Station, and it could be easily reached through an underpass, which was especially helpful when travelling with big luggage or during bad weather. One big surprise for us was the check-in experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 11.30am, fully expecting to leave our luggage and return later, but we were told that our room was already ready and we could occupy it immediately instead of waiting until the usual 3pm check-in time. It also seemed that they upgraded our booking to a Standard Double Room, which made the experience even better. Two thumbs up for this hotel. Even though we had booked a Standard Single Room, the space genuinely surprised us. The room came with a queen bed and was more than comfortable for two of us. We were able to fully open our large suitcases without feeling cramped — something that is not always guaranteed in Japanese hotels. The room layout was practical and well thought out, with a proper TV console and work desk with a chair, a single sofa with a small table, an air purifier, and a fridge. The TV model was a bit outdated, though it did not affect our stay. The bathroom was also spacious, with a proper bathtub that allowed us to stretch our legs comfortably after long days out. The bed was very comfy, and they provided two pillows for each of us, which made our sleep even better. Amenities and bottled water were provided at the lobby area, which we found convenient. We paid around SGD159 (JPY19,000) for two nights, and it was excellent value. Overall, it was one of the best hotels in this journey, and we would gladly stay here again."

"Expansive hotel. Breakfast is nice but crowded.  Nice ice cream sticks and drinks. Hot Spring is great and clean."

"The hot spring was pleasant and the washing area was spacious. I booked with breakfast and dinner included. I think this was the simplest course for the price, but dinner was a full course and I was full. The final dessert parfait was a specialty and was very delicious and filling. The breakfast buffet also had a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, so it was hard to choose. The clam miso soup was excellent. All the staff were very kind and I would like to stay with them again if I have the opportunity. It was more than worth the price. Thank you very much."

"Very warm hotel, the traffic from JR Yuzao Hot Spring Station to the hotel is a bit inconvenient, but every time you make an appointment with the hotel in advance, you can send a car to pick up and drop off, the service is very thoughtful. The surrounding environment is good, if it is not too hot, I really want to go to the beach to see. I was fortunate to watch the local summer festival, which shows that everyone is very hard at protecting local cultural customs. Finally, I mentioned dinner. I stayed for two nights.
