"The ryokan location is excellent. My room has a huge picture window facing east. I can see the famous bay with its many islands, including the Fukuura island (福浦𡷊), in the morning with wonderful sun rise view. The Japanese breakfasts were excellent especially the one on our second day… fresh grilled fish, etc.. The Kaiseki dinners for both nights were wonderful with fresh grilled fish and high grade wagyu beef plus oyster cooked to perfection. The Onsens on the other hand are just Okay. However with the view of Fukuura island and its red bridge … nice."

"We thought we'd stop by a hot spring on our way back from visiting our children (Ofunato City), so we stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights, and were very grateful for our hospitality. The food was delicious and we were very impressed. The tatami mats were nice and clean, but if they could have done a little more to fix the cracks in the bathroom, I think the service would have been more comprehensive. It's close to the station and tourist attractions, so we usually use the car, but we didn't feel inconvenienced by the train.
