"Positive aspects: The hotel is right next to Katakura-kan, about a 10-minute walk from Kami-Suwa Station, 8 minutes from Lake Suwa, and a FamilyMart convenience store is a 3-minute walk away. It's a Route Inn chain hotel, and has most of the basic amenities expected of a three-star hotel. Cleanliness and common facilities are adequate. Because it's a small town and the off-season, it's very quiet. A notable feature is its own free onsen (hot spring) public bath. The room was booked late, and the 350 yen room rate including a buffet breakfast was reasonable.
Negative aspects: The hotel seems to have been operating for a long time and is somewhat outdated. Because it's a small town, there are no restaurants near the hotel; you need to go to the train station area to eat."

"It was the first night of my entire trip—and also the most expensive one. But it was absolutely worth it!
Lake Suwa was right in front of the hotel. If you take the train, it might be a bit of a walk, but since I drove, the location was perfect.
The hotel was incredibly spacious, and the onsen was lovely.
Dinner (a full course meal) was exceptional, and breakfast was just as impressive—absolutely delicious!
One thing I still wonder about: what were those insects outside the window at night?
They clung to the glass, and I was afraid they might get inside. Thankfully, the window seals were excellent, so none of them made it indoors. Only the outdoor bath had a few, which was understandable.
I truly hope I can go back again—with my mom next time!"

"It is close to Kamisawa Station. The hot springs aren't spacious, but they are nice. There isn't a convenience store right next door, but it is just a short walk away. All the staff are very friendly! I would like to thank the female staff member at the front desk who kindly assisted me in English.
The lobby on the first floor is also really pretty. If you are visiting Suwa, I highly recommend this place."

"This is the hot spring hotel I stayed at most this year. It's located right on the shore of Lake Suwa, a bit of a walk from the station, but you can find some beautiful scenery within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. It's a very cost-effective hot spring hotel. The only drawback is that there's only one Chinese restaurant on-site; otherwise, you'd have to walk a bit to find other restaurants."

"The room I booked was a regular tatami room, but the lake view was great. The hotel service was really considerate and thoughtful. I arrived early and was told during check-in that there was a free bus tour of the four major shrines of Suwa, including a driver's explanation throughout the trip. Due to my poor Japanese, I only understood the general idea and didn't understand any of the details. The four shrines of Suwa Taisha were originally quite scattered, but now it's easy to take them all. The breakfast was made with local specialties and was very healthy."

"It was completely unexpected to be able to book this old-fashioned Japanese hotel on Ctrip. April is the off-season for tourism in Suwa City, so the price was very cost-effective.
There is relatively little public transportation in Suwa City. After arriving at JR Kamisuwa Station at night, it takes 20 minutes to walk to the hotel. The sign at the door ”Little Hot Spring Hotel by the Lake” makes people laugh. The hotel is run by an old couple in their fifties and sixties, and the reception is very attentive. The room was as expected neat and clean, and the mottled marks on the furniture matched the overall style of the hotel. Moreover, there was no smell that I thought there would be when sleeping on tatami mats in a humid environment by the lake. There are preparation instructions in the room. Although they are not in Chinese, the content is relatively concise and can be understood. There is a restaurant on the first floor, and next door is a small hot spring with clear water and a suitable temperature.
It was unexpected that the convenience store 5 minutes' walk from the hotel closed at 17:00 in the afternoon. The 24-hour convenience store required about 15 minutes' walk. None of the nearby restaurants offer breakfast, so it is best to experience the classic Japanese breakfast at the hotel. Dinner is also available here.
The lake view room faces Suwa Lake, which brings you a smooth and panoramic view of Suwa Lake. At the same time, the noise of cars on the lakeside road at night will cause some discomfort. Consider this when choosing a room type.
Surroundings: There are several restaurants next to the hotel open for lunch. There is a comprehensive hotel called Katakurakan about a 10-minute walk away where you can rent electric bicycles. It is a good choice to cycle around Lake Suwa and the city."

"The location is very good. It is two or three minutes away from the station. Although the waiters do not understand English, they try their best to communicate. There is no separate bathroom in the room, but there is a wash basin to wash your face and brush your teeth. The hot spring water does not seem to be a real hot spring. There is no sulphur smell. When you take a bath. There are many Chinese and English menus in the restaurants there. The waiters don't know how to speak English. They have pictures to see pictures, no pictures, and what to eat next to the Japanese."

However, the room felt off, it was warm in autumn, the air purifier looks not premium, and when I checked whether I could open the window, I noticed the upper window frame was quite dusty. There were also no additional amenities provided. For this price point, in this area and on a non-touristy date, I think it could have been better.

In the area of Shanghai, this hot spring hotel is considered one of the highest.
First of all, the environment of the independent small courtyard is very elegant, and all 8 rooms are facing the beautiful lake view, especially the beautiful scenery under the sunset, which is really pleasing to the eye.
Secondly, the room is not only large, but also has a separate hot spring pool. Everything in the room is fine, and it is no problem to come here empty-handed. Toiletries, razors, various skin care and hair products, all have. You can also go to the mixed bath hot springs on the top floor of the 6th floor. The idea here is very chic, when entering the hot spring, men and women must wear a special clothes, similar to swimsuits.
Again, each room has a separate dining room, and walk past it for three seconds.
Then there is a local bar on the ground floor that offers locally produced sake.
Finally, walking across the small road is to visit the lake, and you can walk to the station in 8 minutes, which is really convenient. There are many restaurants around, no need to worry.

NNuonuokafei非常好，值得入住！請攜程管家預約的上諏訪站的接站，工作人員開着阿爾法來接站了，特別幸運的是工作人員會中文，從接站那一刻優質周到細緻的服務就開始了，我是看日本旅遊博主住這個酒店訂的，入住到房間後會有歡迎甜點，房間全部面湖，對工作人員説想參觀旁邊的迎賓館和菊之間立即就安排了，又給了千人風呂的門票，旁邊就是小美術館和片倉館，片倉館外面洋式裏面和式，買門票參觀，千人風呂是對外營業的大温泉浴場，外立面華麗的洋式建築1928年建成，為大眾提供温泉服務，千人風呂當年很壯觀現在看起來並不大，對外800多日元一個人，中午二樓有食堂提供簡餐。過馬路就是諏訪湖，有觀光船。訂的一泊二食，晚餐西式，非常好，餐比我之前住的羅萊夏朵扉温泉明神館的強太多太多了，品質優良口味很好非常用心的一餐。每間房都有湖景風呂，有簾可調節，外面看不到的，温泉二十四小時流動，水質好，方便多次浸泡温泉，泡完很舒服。早餐有日式和西式，我選的西式非常棒，吃完元氣滿滿的一天。温店的缺點是在路邊，晚上有噪音，白天不吵，窗簾不遮光，室內拖鞋最好再放一雙新的棉質拖鞋，但優質完美的接待完全可以彌補，十一點退房後有房間號牌燙上名字贈送，讓人很驚喜然後又送去車站，並耐心周到地幫我存了行李，諏訪神社有四個交通不便我逛了車站對面超市一對比盒馬簡直就是垃圾，質次價高二樓有松本清，但不免税。在這個酒店每次無意提到的細節都會被照顧到，我這次住了十幾個酒店，有老字號輕井澤萬平、赤倉觀光酒店、有新崛起的fufu品牌輕井澤靜養之森，相比這裏的服務都是最優秀的，扉温泉明神館差評，餐食非常差。

HHanaLocation is great, it is just on the main road and by the lake. I remember there was a Lawon convenient store not far away when we drove past. We stayed there for 1 night.
I highly doubt if we were given the wrong room type, as I booked a room that can see the full Suwa Lake, but the room we have got is at the corner. It is because of the cherry blossom season, there are so many mosquitos outside so we couldn't open any window. According to the information provided by the hotel, the mosquitos don't bite human, but create stains on clothings.
Anyway, the room has a private onsen. It was quite small, and look a bit old. The water is very hot, though I couldn't smell any sulfur so it is not a real hot spring. As the windows can't be opened, so it is a quite stuffy inside the bathroom. The room has equipped with all amenities, but no bottled water. The hotel mentioned the water is drinkable from the tab. The room is quite clean and spacious. The mattress is quite nice, it was good for taking a rest after a whole day trip. We chose the meal package (breakfast and dinner). They were both Japanese style with a lot of dishes and options. Food is great. Nagano is not a place that produces meat, so mainly there are a lot of vegetables.
With the price we paid for, the hotel services, food and everything is quite reasonable. However, the hotel is a bit old. Nothing is special other than providing a clean room to sleep.
