"It’s a spontaneous trip that we booked the room before we check google reviews. Yet we are aware of the different way of check in. Apparently it’s under awanjiwa management of the *air-bnb* style of room which is the same hotel as The pines. First, If there is choice i may direct book frm the pines , we tried once under the shore & the swiss garden same thing yet also unforgettable trip 😅 I would say hotel charge the prices will assure give the best services maybe . We consider lucky that awanjiwa person in charge is nice and responsible. We got some hicups on the check in and got settle to change another room as u can see frm photos the disaster of the first room we got i told the PIC only the bed and the sink is clean others is all dusty 😵💫 We got changed to another better condition rooms also with some stain on the table n cupboard so i had to clean myself before place anything in. Its not that bad tho, but i would say im not an airbnb guest . 😅 and its feel really weird when u stay in hotel but its like so weird u cant park in the same unit and u just dont feel u are away for a trip as the place u check in like ur neighbor home kind of feel ."

"Arrived by bus from Singapore, and the hotel is super close to the bus station. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and if you walk a bit further, there are two shopping malls. It's also quite near the old city wall ruins. The earliest check-in time is around 2:30 PM, which feels pretty inconvenient. On the bright side, there are plenty of seating areas in the lobby. The room itself is quite spacious, and the bathroom is clean. Overall, it's great value for money."

"I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but after checking in, I found the location to be absolutely fantastic. We could walk to all the major attractions, and popular restaurants were also nearby. Getting to the central station only took about 20 minutes by car. Our room's balcony was in the middle of the building, more like a drying area, but it met our need for quiet. The staff were all very enthusiastic, and the manager could speak Chinese. The shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable. When taking a Grab, we could be dropped off at the main entrance, but for pickups, we had to set the location to the back entrance and walk through the restaurant. What I wasn't happy about was that the towels were a bit discolored, as mentioned in other reviews, and the room only provided reusable plastic slippers. It would be great if these could be improved."

"Hotel room was well kept, almost faultless tho' its very dated and rough around the edges, but not dealbreaker. We love the shower area it was huge. Everything worked and stocked. Balcony nice views. Breakfast was good, looks like it shares w Swiss Garden hotel as well but variety overwhelming and loads of seating, moreover longest timing til 12pm great for late sleepers. The complex houses a shopping mall as well not fantastic but conveniences and alternative food choices avail itself. There's also a rooftop bar and viewing gallery as well, loads of eateries around the clock in the vicinity and a discounted boat ride for hotel guests. Parking seems like a pain on the 7/8 flr needs validating every exit, but other choices if one decides to pay on lower n ground valet. Overall, we'll return for the value. Attractions and Malls just drive or grab no issue, unless one wants to stay specific touristy area or want 5star hotel etc..."

"The hotel's location is great, within walking distance of Malacca's old town. When I checked in, the Malaysian lady at the front desk collected a 50 RM cash deposit from me (which another front desk staff member refunded when I checked out the next day). Additionally, she charged an extra 28 RM for some unknown fee (Ctrip showed an 8 RM world heritage fee was due). I stayed for two nights, and Ctrip deducted 475.47 RMB upon checkout. Room 512 faces west, offering an open view of St. Paul's Hill. The room didn't have a safe or slippers, but it did have a refrigerator, toothbrush, hairdryer, wardrobe, and hangers. The air conditioning was central and could be set to a very low temperature. Upon entering, I accidentally pressed the 'make up room' button next to the door. Later, after I had gone to bed, a staff member rang the doorbell to clean. They were very responsible; I had to get dressed and explain in person that I didn't need the service before they left."

"The hotel's design is absolutely stunning, no wonder it's won Michelin, IDA, and many other international space design awards. The staff are all incredibly gentle and always smiling. The bedding is exceptionally clean, and the best part is the high cost-performance ratio! It's also super convenient, just a 12-minute taxi ride to Jonker Street."

"Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights—overall a comfortable and value-for-money stay. Spacious, modern room with a nice semi-partition layout that gives a studio feel. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Basic amenities were neatly packed, and the kitchenette is a useful addition. Location is slightly away from Jonker Street but still just a short drive, which helps avoid the crowd. Service was smooth and efficient throughout. Good balance of space, comfort, and affordability. "We arrived really late, around 1 AM, so there was only one staff member at the front desk for check-in. We asked if we could switch rooms if ours wasn't suitable, but he said they were fully booked and had no other options. The next day, we saw that the entire building had tons and tons of empty rooms 😂. Our family room was very spacious, but the furniture and facilities felt incredibly outdated, like something from 20 years ago. The windows even had several black mold spots 😂, and the towels weren't very clean and were haphazardly placed in the bathroom, which also lacked a separate shower and toilet. There were ants on the table in the room, and black and red marks on the walls. Around 11 PM, after we had already gone to bed, someone prank-called our doorbell, which gave us quite a fright. There were documents on the table and bed stating how hard the hotel worked to achieve its 4/5-star rating. However, if you wanted an extra blanket or additional tea, you had to pay separately for each, with prices clearly listed. Pros: The hotel's location is excellent. It's right next to Heroes' Square, making it very convenient to walk to all the main attractions!"

WW. JinHygiene: Very good. Facilities: A mix of new and old, it's renovated, but just okay. No conditioner or lotion provided. Service: Since we arrived from Singapore by cruise, we got to the hotel around 9 AM. We dropped off our luggage and went for a walk. It was incredibly hot, so by 12 PM, after sightseeing and eating, we returned to the hotel and asked if we could check in early. They refused... At around 1 PM, our little one really needed a nap, so we asked again and finally got a room. Sigh. Compliant with rules but not very empathetic. The service industry really needs a bit more human touch. The concierge, however, was excellent. Environment: The swimming pool is clean, but it gets direct afternoon sun and closes exactly at 7 PM. Breakfast is good, but if you absolutely need Chinese food, you might consider skipping it and heading to the tea restaurant about 15 meters to the left of the hotel entrance, which is a better option. One side of the hotel faces the sea, and the other faces the Malacca River bay, both are nice views.

GGuest UserI’m here for solo trip, it is a wonderful place which should let more ppl see, the location is amazing, just cross the road can see the market. The parking is easy for me coz the parking there is easy to see ppl out and park. The toilet is super duper clean, and the. sleeping area is so quiet, everyone there is mature adult, there try to keep the most quiet they can in the sleeping area.  Common area really feel warm and cozy. There have 2 cats there is very fluffy and watch TV and gaming area. It is really a place worth to stay, will come back again if visit thai place again.

SSoo Ban OngI have stayed at this hotel many times. It is strategically located, with many restaurants surrounding the hotel. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. However, during this stay, there was no staff on duty when I was trying to check out, and I had to wait for quite some time. Fortunately, a staff member from the café assisted me by looking for the staff on duty to attend to my check-out. I hope the hotel can improve in this area.

GGuest UserIt's very close to Jonker Street, just across a bridge. However, I was misled by the photos; I thought there was a public pool when it's actually located within a luxury suite. Still, the shower and toilet were quite convenient, and the overall place was clean.

Room is ok, air cool ok, shampoo and shower gel to be improved better quality . Book with breakfast, because not familiar there, disappointed that no have coffee machine, just coffee pack with hot water only, suggest the hotel need to investments the coffee machine for more choice, Coffee is important for breakfast . Food need to improve, must keep warm not just put food inside, then no keep warm, you can see from photos. Maybe you need to put a microwave for guest to do heat up themselves. A good thing is you have “ white porridges “ which was hot The staffs are no check spoon and forks, need to improve and re-training!

RRC8888Hotel is very conveniently located near makuta parade and 2 other malls, especially if you are going there by coach. There is a caring pharmacy just in front and many eatries around. Our 2 bedder family room was big and spacious but the carpets might need a wash and the room feels a but mouldy but we rented an air purifier that helped. Breakfast was average. Overall a good stay.

OOMAR AL-ATTASThe biggest win for this hotel is definitely its location on Jalan Tukang Besi — super close to Jonker Walk and all the tourist hotspots around the area. Location-wise, it’s really great. The only thing is the hotel can be a bit confusing to find because there’s no signage for “Melaka Oracle Bookstore.” On the map and on the building facade, there’s only Chinese writing, so it took me a moment to be sure I was at the right place. I’m also not sure if the owner is Malaysian because they spoke Mandarin, but they can communicate in English, and both the owner and staff were friendly. Along this lane, you’ll also find a few shops that rent Nyonya kebaya and batik shirts, and Masjid Kampung Kling is just a few meters away. To get to the rooms upstairs, you’ll need an access card, and the room door uses a physical key. The room itself is fairly clean, with a comfortable mattress and pillows. The aircond is cold, there’s a wall fan, a water heater, and free WiFi. There were no drinking glasses in the room, but you can refill water from the filtered water machine outside. They also have a pantry area and a washing machine, though I didn’t see an iron board — probably need to ask the staff. Mosquito coils were provided, but thankfully, there were no mosquitoes in my room. However, there are a few things that could be improved. There was no blanket provided, which should be basic. I also noticed some plaster bagworms on the ceiling and walls — these should be cleaned because they can bite and leave marks. The toilet paper roll should be new, not a leftover one. The water pressure is quite low, so showering didn’t feel very satisfying. And the leftover mosquito coil ash should be cleaned before a new guest checks in. The toilet could also be cleaned more thoroughly — no stray hairs on the floor and no stains on the bowl. Overall, the hotel is decent and perfectly okay for a stay. The facilities match the affordable price, and if you’re not as fussy as I am, you’ll probably be fine. There’s also a cute cat mural outside the building. The place has a rustic but charming vibe — definitely has room to improve, but still a pleasant stay.

BBeglyiThe only plus is the hotel's price. It's located on the outskirts of the city, but there's a bus stop right around the corner that goes to the city center or the bus station. Both check-in and check-out are completely contactless. However, if you arrive without phone service, that's a problem, as all instructions only arrive once you're already there. The room was stuffy, the AC wasn't working, and the towels and blankets were worn out. The light in the bathroom kept flickering.
