"Truely historic small hotel (26 rooms) in historic building. Nothing really what you can call luxury 2025, it was maybe bacl 2000. Location next to the Palace of Queluz makes it a bit more interesting though it's remote from both Lisboa and Sintra (which municiplay this place belongs to, city tax is ”only” 2€/Person max for 3 nights!). All rooms are upstairs, the standard rooms face the cobbed street (you can hardly hear with closed windows), big bathroom with tub, electricity bit strange, illumination bit old fashiioned. Due to the small capacity also the buffet breakfast ist limited in choice though high quality. Nespresso and filer coffee (better than those vending machines). Free parking outside is a plus, restaurants are in walking distance! In a nutshell: nice place but the ”normal” rates around 150€ are BY FAR too much in my eyes - our 75€ incl.4€ city tax was just okay (missing extras like spa, pool etc.)"

"The hot water wasn't working properly, and the worst part is that the owner knew it and didn't try to fix it beforehand. When we complained, the only solution she offered was to cancel the second night and refund us for that night—disgraceful. It's frankly inconvenient having to wait half an hour or even half an hour for the water to come out lukewarm and then showering like that in the freezing cold."

The staff were all friendly and responsive, making my stay a pleasant one throughout. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and I was very satisfied with the well-maintained hotel facilities. The location was also great, making it convenient for traveling around Sintra. If I visit Sintra again, this is a hotel I definitely want to stay at again. Thanks to this, I had a truly enjoyable trip. I highly recommend it!"

"Hotel is on the hill top, centre of the old town, next to Sintra Palace, has parking garage, convenient place. Road are tight. There are restaurants and pastry shop around, no supermarkets. Place of interests in old town are spread so far apart by hilly roads. Pena palace on top of the hill.. Walking is possible but not advisable. Hotel staff is reasonable. We stayed 2 nights and things are about standard for NH hotel... But they do charge you coffee capsules if u stay longer.. Ask."

We had a beautiful view of the Mount with the Mavrov Castle, and the cafe was sitting on the streets with a company and a guy playing and singing on the guitar, which also added to the fascinating tonight. And in front of the terrace something like a kitchen with microwave oven, teapot, couch and table/chairs. Down, where the first floor, there is also a terrace, but we were not there, there too cozy.
