You've found an amazing lakefront vacation rental steps from the shore of beautiful and pristine Loon Lake. This custom built home was completed in 2017 and has been tastefully furnished/decorated.The spaceThere are 4 bedrooms, 3 with comfortable queen sized beds and views of the lake and 1 with 2 twins. There are 2.5 bathrooms. Walk into the open floor plan in one large room with the living room, dining room and kitchen which makes entertaining easy. There is a wall mounted flat screen above the gas fireplace. There is also wireless satellite internet. There is a small movie collection and board games. Right off the kitchen is a large pantry with washer/dryer and a 1/2 bath, both rooms have rustic sliding barn doors. The French doors off the living/dining room lead to a large screened in porch with rustic seating and more great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom, master bath with tub and stand up shower, the suite leads through another set of French doors to the balcony overlooking the lake. Downstairs are 2 more private bedrooms with French doors that lead out to the backyard and the lake. There is another full bathroom for these bedrooms.Guest accessOut in the backyard you'll find a fire pit, gas grill and boats to enjoy the lake. There is a canoe, kayaks and adult life vests. We cannot allow outside boats except for Canoes and Kayaks. There is a brand new dock with a ladder at the end. There is a large shallow area with sandy bottom which is a good swimming area for small children. The neighbor has a swim dock which anyone can use but it is a short swim, about 100-150 feet to get there. Paddle to the other side of the lake and there is a rope swing that is really fun to jump off of.Other things to noteThere is so much that can be done right outside the doors! Fishing is excellent, you will catch many small mouth bass, northern pike, perch (good eatin') and a few elusive Large-mouth bass. You can walk or drive a few miles to the north branch of the Saranac River for trout fishing. There are many thousands of miles of hiking and biking trails right outside the door and we are in a great location for day hikes to some of the ADK high peaks and even some not so high peaks. Crusher Mountain is at the end of Mensink Rd (less than a mile), it is a very short hike to the top and there is a great view. If you are a little more adventurous then you can hike Loon Lake Mountains and see the fire tower which is about a 6 mile round trip. Our House/Camp sits right on a stunning Adirondack lake less than 10 miles from the Canadian border. It is in the hamlet of Owls Head 1 hour due north of Lake Placid and 15 minutes from Malone. The second parking space on the opposite side of the property. The entrance to the home through sliding glass doors leads you into the open concept living room & dining room with a large stone gas fireplace and comfortable furniture and décor. There are beautiful pictures and windows throughout that look into the forest and the pond. The first bedroom is straight ahead on the left after the living room next to the 3-piece bathroom (sink, toilette, and bathtub). The first bedroom has a small deck and staircase leading out. The kitchen is off of the dining room / living room. It is part of the original century cabin. It is small but a very functional space with a refrigerator, stove, microwave and roll away dishwasher with a chopping block top. The kitchen comes fully equipped with pots, pans cutlery and small appliances (coffee pot, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, electric can opener etc.). The second bedroom leads off the kitchen heading towards the lake with two large picture windows facing the great forest and an electric fireplace. The office is off the second bedroom facing the lake. It is a very tranquil place to work from. The office is accessed through the second bedroom.
