We have stayed for three nights.Overall the hotel is very clean and tidy at a very good location.Room was spacious with everyday cleaning.Nice pool and veranda with sea view .This is a family run hotel which they’re looking after their customers.Parking also available as is good to rent a car (we happy with Akteon rental) Definitely staying again and highly recommend it.

This family run business was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Well run, exceptionally clean and very welcoming We stayed as two couples for 3 nights as part of an island hopping holiday. Alex, his wife and brother were all so friendly and helpful Alex picked us up from the port which we were very grateful for - on Naxos it cost us €40 for a taxi Fabulous pool area with comfortable beds. Our room was huge with a bathroom suited to a luxury hotel Located between the port and the town, the regular buses made this an easy option Thanks to Alex’s many recommendations, we ate well every night

The Golden Sun is a really good Hotel. The position is very well, you are near the port and you can arrive in Chora by foot in ten minutes. The room was clean, comfortable and there was a balcony where you could see the amazing sunset of Ios. There is a nice pool with sun beds and beach umbrellas. The owners are very kindly and hospitality. The life motive of this location is the silence of the nature and the relax. These is a best choice for your holiday!

Belated review but me and my 2 friends had the BEST time at this hotel. The service was incredible, and it made it even nicer how it was a family run hotel. The room was spotless and the pool area was lovely. We had breakfast/lunch by the pool everyday which was delightful! We wish we were there for longer!!

Overall our experience at golden sun was incredible and I highly recommend it for anyone staying on Ios. From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful in giving their knowledge of the area and marking out a map for us of things to do and places to eat etc. the room was excellent, very modern and spotlessly clean, also serviced every day to a high standard. The view from the balcony was very nice too. Staff at the hotel were so helpful, always checking to ensure we were having a good time and doing everything they could to improve our stay. The pool and bar are excellent, wonderful food and drinks. The location is great, an easy walk to town and the port too. This is easily the best place we have stayed on our trip so far, and should certainly be your first preference when booking accommodation on the island.

My partner and I stayed at the golden sun for our first time in Greece and we had a really wonderful experience at the Golden Sun, our room was ready well before check in and we were able to check in 3 hours earlier (as we had arrived early). Alex and his wife were very accommodating and we felt very comfortable and looked after during our stay. The room accommodated us just fine, for the price I think it is reasonable, beautiful views and nice and clean. Alex even dropped us to the port at 6pm (even though we checked out at 11:30am) Wonderful experience, would definitely recommend for young couples who are travelling on budget.

Buona posizione e struttura ma camere spartane poco arredate e molto sporche ( matrimoniale con 1 sol comodino e 1 sedia ) bagno piccolissimo con lavandino da 25 cm e molto datato con accessori arrugginiti e porta che non si chiude e sbatte tutta la notte

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per 13 giorni ....ci siamo trovati benissimo ,stanza molto carina con balcone che affaccia sul mare ,pulizia e cambio biancheria ogni due giorni ,i titolari gentilissimi e sempre pronti ad ogni richiesta sicuramente ci torneremo

L'albergo è molto ben tenuto e pulito, una bella struttura non molto grande con ottima piscina vista mare e camere grandi. Abbiamo scelto questo posto per la vicinanza con il porto e la chora pur essendo fuori dal traffico, il problema è stato che nonostante la chora fosse indicata a 10 - 15 minuti a piedi non è stato specificato nelle recensioni che la strada è parecchio in salita e poco segnalata. È vero che la fermata del pullman è proprio in fronte all'albergo però il prezzo di due euro per tratta rende più conveniente noleggiare la macchina per spostarsi (noi eravamo in 4 ). Inoltre sconsiglio di acquistare la colazione che ad un prezzo di 8.50 a testa comprende una bevanda calda, pane burro e marmellata, un succo di frutta e a scelta o uno yogurt o una fettina di torta. Tutto quello che viene preso in più viene fatto pagare a parte.
