Nazar Hotel

Excellent stay in Nazar Hotel! The hotel was near the places of attraction in Selcuk. The hotel boss, llker ensured that I was well taken care of! Really appreciate! Erbu picked me up from the airport and had been very very helpful in orientating and assisting! Really appreciate. Strongly and highly recommend people to stay here!

This is the best hotel in Selcuk! The rooms are clean and well appointed, and some have a view of the 6th C. castle on the adjacent hill. Breakfasts on the roof top terrace are simply excellent and the home-made jams are something special. Owners Ilker and Selma are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble, its a very happy environment and they are personally interested in helping their guests. Ilker is also a travel agent and can assist with travel and tours anywhere in Turkey. A highlight is the lush private stone walled garden full of greenery with a swimming pool. There's currently a couple of small rescued mountain tortoises in residence! Selcuk is a great little town to visit, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, and this is a great little hotel 3 mins walk from the town centre! You can walk to a number of historic attractions and even the famous ancient Roman city of Ephesus is only 2 or 3 Km away. Would we go back? Yes, this was our 4th holiday to Selcuk and the Nazar Hotel, and not our last!

Fantastic stay. It is worth staying here just to get the tips & local knowledge from Selcuk’s best host. Great location. Great breakfast. Would definitely recommend & would stay again.

First of all, the reason this property is so highly rated is the staff, starting with the owner Ilkare (I may be misspelling his name!). His English is perfect--like, basically native speaker level--and he's a former tour guide who knows seemingly everything to know about the area. He made amazing recommendations from tiny cool sights to see (one massive ruins, we were the only explorers in the entire site), to great spots to eat or drink. The rest of the staff (and family!) are delightful and kind, with just enough English for what you need, and as welcoming and hospitable as can be. You really feel almost like you're visiting a relative. The property is beautiful, particularly the pool and many rescued animals. A few nice touches, like a spare key so the fridge keeps running. There are a few minor gripes, mostly the lack of blackout curtains, but that seems to be standard everywhere in Turkiye we've stayed (no sleeping in for you!). Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, but light on protein (a single hard boiled egg). The area is just Selçuk, it's a very small place and everything is walking distance. I would stay here again, and suggest you do the same.

Nazar Hotel was the first stop for us in Turkey and we really enjoyed it. The room was great, the breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were very knowledgeable, providing a lot of background and useful information. Additionally, the area was very walkable with good options for dining around us. We really enjoyed our stay here!

I stayed at the Nazar Hotel during my visit to Selçuk and Ephesus. This has been the best lodging experience during my visit to Turkey so far. When there were no cars available to pick me up from Kayseri, the owner Ilker came and picked me up himself. During the drive to the hotel, Ilker supplied me with loads of valuable information, not only for my stay in the Selçuk area but for my upcoming trip to Pamukkale and onwards to Fetiye. He made the use of the train (TCDD) and the Dolmus bus super straightforward. He was also just an all-around great guy to converse with - he was friendly with a good sense of humor. As for the hotel itself, it had everything I needed. The room was well-appointed and clean, had strong A/C, and everything ‘just worked’. I also like the fact that they are energy conscious with automatic switches that only light up areas when needed. The pool was also a welcoming amenity after a long hot day tour of Ephesus and Selçuk. I can’t go without mentioning the breakfast, which was included with the stay. The eggs, fruits and vegetables were fresh from Ilker’s nearby farm and they were remarkable. Also hard to beat having breakfast right in front of an olive tree (see pics). Thanks for being a great host and guide Ilker.

We had the best stay at Nazar Hotel. Super friendly and helpful hosts. The rooftop view of the Castle cannot be beaten. The garden and pool is a great place to relax in the company of the two tortoises, and Lokum is just the cutest. We hope to be back someday!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Nazar Hotel! The staff was amazingly thoughtful, helpful and friendly. This will be our forever stay when we visit Selçuk♥️

Wee had a very good experience.Ilker, the owner, organized our transfer from Izmir airport, a private guide for Ephesus and the day trip to Pamukkale. He can also organize a private guide for Istanbul if you ask him. Great place great people!
