This was our second stay at Jannel, and once again it did not disappoint. The location on a quiet residential street is just a 5 min drive or 15 min walk to town with plenty of good restaurants, shops, and galleries. Paul is an excellent host, and very helpful with good advice about where to go and what to do on the Isle of Lewis and Harris. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, including a comfy bed and a nice love seat on which to sit and read or watch TV. The breakfast was delicious, with your choice of cooked, continental, or a combination of both. We would happily stay here again.

Easy to find and within walking distance of town centre and Lews Castle. We had a separate sitting area and large bedroom with ensuite. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were luxurious. Fridge, kettle, coffees, teas and shortbread biscuits were provided. Our host, Paul, was very helpful with recommending dinner spots and tourist destinations. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Also provided was a vegetarian option. Parking was available on site.

Paul was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast very appetising. He helped carry bags to the room if you needed this. What more could you want? The house is in a convenient location about 15 minutes walk from the town centre though parking is easy too.

Warm welcome. Very comfortable and spacious room. Lovely furnishings and nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked hot food. Town centre and harbour within 20 minute walking distance and close to large supermarket.

This was our first time in Stornoway and Jannel B&B was well-placed for exploring the area. Paul ticks all the boxes of an ideal Innkeeper. He is diligent, down to earth and there to please. He is also a talented craftsman, so ask about the items you see displayed on the walls and in the entry. The inn has four great rooms and a pleasant dining area. He has made the most of this special retreat and we would not hesitate to return or invite a friend to stay.
