"Not an enjoyable visit. Only stayed 45 minutes before deciding to leave. Room was very dated. Needs a complete makeover from the wooden floor to the ceiling. Bathroom (shared) dated back to the 70's. No pre warning of the "big£ dogs the owner delighted in telling us about, in a menacing way. All in all, would not go back and would never recommend to anyone else. I value my friends too much!"

"Stayed here on my Outer Hebrides Tour. Lynda was the absolute best!! She made my stay very perfect and bent back backwards to accommodate me at every possible stage. Single room was very clean albeit very small. Breakfast was very well cooked and delicious. Very near to the Co-Op if you need anything. Would recommend staying whilst overnighting in Stornaway. Thank you Lynda - you are a rare Gem!"

"We were extremely disappointed to find that there were 8 bedrooms ie up to 10 people sharing a bathroom and only two toilets between us. Appalling in this day and age. A man in a neighbouring room insisted on a long soak in the bath regardless of who might need the loo. This is more like a dated hostel. Avoid. We raised the high cost with the owner and his response was to suggest we moved eksewhere at 6pm. This is close to the ferry and the owner exploits this to the fiul."

"The staff were 10 out of 10 incredibly pleasant but unfortunately the only redeeming feature. The dining area smelled concerning upon entering (presumably wafting from the kitchen) and the chicken madras left a lot to be desired in that it was neither pleasant nor had any identifiable kick beyond ginger and over stewed coriander. The naan was stodgy and over fired in places. The pilau rice unusually greasy. The curry itself .. where do I start.. so fundamentally unbalanced I felt compelled to leave a crisis helpline number with the bill! And I'm being quite serious when I ask this, is the chef okay?.. The cardinal sin had to be the undercooked chicken and the side of thick curly dark hair I pulled out of the curry sauce... man alive. All together a health and hygiene nightmare and I would strongly advise against eating here. This meal gave me depression. Poppadoms were nae bad, though I'm sure those are ordered in."
