It is a pure Japanese-style hotel with an old-fashioned atmosphere hidden in the Tomodo Mountains. The hotel has few rooms, three independent rooms and a multi-room villa. It has seven open-air hot springs distributed on the mountain, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountain while soaking in the hot springs. The owner is a lady who speaks English. We arrived at Tomodo Station and contacted her, and she sent a car to pick us up. The next day we were going to another hotel, and the owner also arranged a driver to take us there, which was very enthusiastic. The quality of breakfast and dinner was good, and the golden eye snapper and wanna fish were particularly delicious! There is a large balcony outside the room, where you can sit and enjoy the sunrise over the green trees. It is a hotel worth recommending!

The building is old but the facilities were solid. The view isn't great, probably because the open-air observation bath can't be seen from the outside, but it's spacious and doesn't feel closed in, so it was pleasant. You have to walk along an undulating path to get to the private open-air bath and the restaurant. The rooms are not barrier-free either. For that reason, I thought it would be nice if they provided work clothes instead of just yukata. However, I didn't have any problems walking around in relaxing wear. The free-flowing hot spring felt great. The seafood-focused meals were also delicious. The sushi served at breakfast was particularly delicious. There is also a shuttle service to the nearest station. There are no shops nearby and no convenience store at the inn, so I recommend buying anything you need there.
