Yokikan
"It’s a very charming place with a real wabi-sabi atmosphere - simple, quiet, and full of nostalgic beauty. Quite old-fashioned, but well maintained. This spot became popular on a Russian platform, so there are many tourists from Russia ( me as well) . When I visited the onsen, there were seven people in total - all Russian girls. Overall, it doesn’t stop you from having a great rest. However, it’s not really suitable for a honeymoon, as my husband and I were separated the whole time — there are no mixed onsens for men and women, probably because the place is now mostly visited by foreigners. When we checked out, they kindly drove us back to the station. I left with a complete sense of relaxation. Thank you!"
Kameya-Rakan
"Really enjoyed my stay at Kameya Rakan! From the beginning, staff at check-in were very pleasant. The staff that attended to us also spoke really good English! There was also a microwave, some brochures/maps with discount codes for attractions (e.g. Mt Omuro chairlift). Parking was plenty and free, located behind the accommodation. There is a sign that says Kameya Rakan Parking. Room was tatami style, and we chose the seaview room which was really nice. They were also very kind to prepare iced water for us in the room which I have never encountered before. Would definitely come back to stay again!"
Mori no yu Kira No Sato 【Reopening on December 22, 2025】
"This was my second stay, and the breakfast and dinner options haven't changed much from before – still excellent. The seating arrangement, however, was noticeably better this time. The staff were all very welcoming and enthusiastic. The environment is peaceful, making it perfect for a getaway. The hot springs are also great, especially the three private onsen rooms."
Kamenoi Hotel Izukogen
"Hot spring is nice and the restaurant is good"
Izu Kougen Hanare Yado Yoshizumi (Kids 12 and under not allowed)
"UNE EXPERIENCE INCROYABLE ! Ryokan fabuleux avec 2 bains privés, staff aux petits soins, excellent repas traditionnel gastronomique !"
Akazawa Onsen Hotel
"It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves. The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days. I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars? The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment. Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead."
Ito Kowakien
"I stayed at this hotel for one night from March 14th to 15th, 2026. I initially chose this hotel because its price was more attractive compared to other hot spring inns in Ito City. After check-in, I selected a yukata (light cotton robe) and toiletries before heading to my room. Complimentary hot coffee, tea, sparkling wine, and steamed buns were available next to the yukata, but unfortunately, the buns were sold out when I checked in, so I didn't get a chance to try them. The room was spacious and clean, and Japanese sweets were served on the table, which I enjoyed. The hot spring bath water flows directly from the hot spring, so I could enjoy soaking for most of my stay. I usually soaked twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. There are three different types of baths available: a warm water bath, a hot water bath, and an open-air bath. There's also a hot spring bath at the entrance where you can drink the water directly. Considering the hot spring, the room, the location, and the service, I would stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity to return to Ito City."
Hotel yoshino
"Excellent experience 👍 The staff, mostly elderly gentlemen and ladies, were incredibly gentle and polite, always greeting me when I came and went. There was a Chinese introduction available, and while I pointed out a few typos to the staff hoping for future corrections, it wasn't a major issue. The typical Japanese bedding was very clean. They even wiped down my suitcase upon entry, which was a nice touch. It was a really great experience, and I'd definitely choose this place again if I come back. I heard from the izakaya owner that their meals are also good, so I might try them next time."
Seizan Yamato
"We are group of 5 all first time visit to Atami! This ryuken has given us one of the best experience in any of the onsen hotel. The service is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! Absolutely recommend this place!"

Hotel Ito Powell
"Perfect for a short stay."
Oyado Ichigonie27
"The hosts were super friendly and welcomed in front of the alley to the hostel. They were kind and answering messages quickly. The hostel is located near the JR station so it was convenient. The neighbourhood is a small town; and not many restaurants or tourist spots located so I enjoyed the quiet night. The restaurants that the hosts recommended were Chuka food restaurant; Taiwan style foods were super cheap and delicious. I was travelling to Ito city but I felt that staying at a hostel one station from Ito Station was an excellent choice. I was heard that people mostly book from Airbnb app, and I am the trip.com user. Hope a lot more people can see this and book this warm welcoming hostel."
Beach Commune Simploose (Adult Only)
"Great hotel with a great view and onsen"
Smart Stay ITO 301
"When I arrived, at 7 o'clock in the evening, the staff still helped open the apartment door, the service was very good, the surrounding supermarket seafood and Heniu were very good."
Abba Resorts Izu - Zagyosoh
"The hotel is located in a remote area. There seems to be nothing to consume around it except for the natural scenery. You can ask the hotel car to pick you up at the station when entering and leaving the hotel! The room is a bit old, maybe it was built a long time ago, but the environment and hot spring facilities are still very clean and comfortable! Worth experiencing!"
Kawana Hotel
"Booked for others. They enjoyed the golf course and the Hotel."
Toushinan Komeya
"The room received a low rating. The size, cleanliness, and neatness of the room were fine, but there was a constant noise of feet stepping on the floor. The kitchen was next door, so it was unclear whether the sound was from employees or from the room above. Also, light from the hallway filtered in through the shoji screen by the bed, preventing complete darkness when I went to bed and making my sleep shallow. I checked in in the evening, and the fluorescent lights were on, so I didn't realize it, but the room barely let in any sunlight. It wasn't until I realized that the room was designed to let in light from the hallway unless the fluorescent lights were turned on at 9 a.m. that it was pitch black. There was a bay window and another window, but the exterior was covered to prevent visibility from outside and to prevent the main building's external piping from being seen, which was why no light was allowed in. The open-air bath in the room was nice, but the insect repellent installation method needs to be reconsidered. The large public bath, both indoors and outdoors, was too hot to bathe in. I tried massaging the water, but it didn't help. The portion size for dinner seemed small, but I think that's because the rice dish you could choose to have cooked in was served in a rice bowl rather than in a rice container. On the other hand, breakfast was served in a rice container and you could have more rice, so I was full. It was my first time trying the Yonaki Soba noodles served at Dormy Inn, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a nice inn except for the room, but I would never stay in that room again."
Ito Ryokuyu
"Nice and cosy hot spring experience! Food was also great!"
Hotel Village Izukogen
"Amazing facility with clean, spacious and modern rooms. The buffet had an excellent variety of food and seemed to be great quality. Check-in staff were very helpful and kind."
Ito Onsen Otonashi No Moiri Ryokufuen
"It's a distance from Ito Station and you can change to a bus. If you stay there for two days, you can buy a bus pass"
oyado wondefull
"We stayed for two nights with our two medium-sized female dogs. I feel bad that our dogs gave the hotel's resident dog, Nagi-chan (a cute boy), a cold shoulder despite his enthusiastic welcome. The hotel was meticulously clean everywhere, which made our stay very comfortable. The room was spacious and the interior was lovely. We really appreciated them providing a dog crate bed. Outside the window, we saw two squirrels climbing trees and many birds singing. The lobby was also spacious with comfortable sofas and even manga! I found some manga I used to love and quickly devoured them. Next time, I'd like to read the rest. The nights were very quiet, allowing us to relax completely. We also had the bath to ourselves, which was great. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Izu."
Izu One Club
"Izu One Club stood quietly in the mountains. The exterior had a Western-style feel, and the reception area was decorated with motorcycles and nostalgic figurines displayed in glass cases. It felt like a place overflowing with personal touches. They meticulously checked out the entire building, including my room, which was a Japanese-style room just like the pictures I'd seen. It had the bare minimum – a TV, table, futon, kettle – a simple space, but somehow it evoked a sense of nostalgia. The only thing I would mention is that, perhaps because of the time of year I stayed (late March) or because it's in the mountains, it was a little chilly. Personally, I didn't mind, but some people might need a jacket. And then there's the bath. I didn't use the bathtub, but the shower was sufficient… however, perhaps because I took a shower in the morning, the water didn't heat up quickly… there was a stove in the changing area, which was nice and warm. On my way out, I stopped by a large common room-like area with a spectacular view of the sea – it was beautiful. I thought it would have been even more beautiful if it had been sunnier (the photo was taken from the room in that space). This time I stayed there urgently for a one-day business trip, but it was a pretty nice room, and I might stay there again if I have the chance. However, please note that a car is essential to get there. There are no convenience stores nearby either, so I recommend eating before you stay."
Ito Villa-TOKI-
"Breakfast and dinner were both very beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and it was a very good experience👍"
TangWu
"A quaint homestay with about 6 or 7 rooms, shared bath but for us it was fine since we stayed during a slightly lower period, I'm not sure how pleasant showering will be during peak periods. However they are in the midst of building an onsen which should be amazing once done. Excellent views and amazing experience. The host also provides a shuttling service between his busy preparation periods which helps a lot since izu doesn't have the best commuting options available."
SKY-HILL HOTEL IZUKOUGEN
"The moment we arrived, we received gifts for the kids right away. The view from the room is amazing. They have a beautiful onsen and the breakfast is good."
