Breakfast was homemade by the landlady, and both Japanese and Western side dishes were delicious. (The homemade jam was especially delicious, and I ended up having to refill it even though I was full.) Since I used it on a weekday Monday, I was able to enjoy a leisurely soak in the 6th floor hot spring bath, which was reserved for me both in the evening and the next morning. There were several delicious-looking restaurants around Iwaki-Yumoto Station, so I didn't have any trouble finding dinner. There is a hot spring shrine and footbath nearby, so even after checking out, I soaked up the hot springs.

I stayed at the hotel with the "light breakfast plan", but I was deceived. It was not light at all. I could choose between rice and bread for my staple food, but after eating rice and homemade butterbur miso, I started with bread and homemade jam. In other words, I could choose either rice or bread. With soup, salad, sausages, eggs (fried eggs/scrambled eggs), and dessert, it's not light! I won't mention the name, but the nearby izakaya doesn't seem to serve local products, so if you're looking for that, it might be better to stay near the station.
