The baths were plentiful and the garden was amazing. The food was also very satisfying.

The decoration of the hotel should have been done decades ago and the sanitary conditions are very worrying. The hot springs are very old and very old. Don't go there. The breakfast and dinner mentioned online were very good, but it was a lie. It seemed that the hotel did not have a kitchen at all, and there were no restaurants nearby, only some family taverns, and they closed very early.

Response from Property: We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to your stay. Because it is a traditional Japanese-style hot spring hotel, we dine in the room, and there are dedicated room attendants to provide dining services to guests. So you didn't see the kitchen and dining room, which caused you misunderstanding. I'm very sorry. Our hotel has a history of more than 60 years, so the decoration is relatively Showa-style. We also renovate the hotel every year. We hope you will have the opportunity to reserve one of our renovated rooms. Toi Hot Spring is a relatively niche place that Japanese people often visit, so there are no big hotels. It is indeed inconvenient and is slightly suitable for niche tourism. Because we do not accept free cancellation on that day, we did not agree to the cancellation you inquired about before coming. You came to the hotel and requested to cancel. According to the policy, we cannot cancel according to your wishes. We are really sorry. This stay has brought you a bad experience and we will continue to correct it. We welcome you to come again and experience our meal-inclusive packages and other room types. You can call or email in advance to inquire, or add meals through the platform. Adding meals on the same day is because our room attendants and meals are fixed the day before, and there is no way to add meals at short notice, which may cause inconvenience to you.

I was wondering what the price would be like since it was a New Year's price, but the service was also very good. The equipment is a little old, but the cost performance was excellent!

Real typical ryokan but outdated and old-fashioned. No service. No possibility of meals. No breakfast offered. Room for 3 with futons and very noisy air conditioning making the night very complicated. Musty odors which worsen an already heavy atmosphere. The worst quality accommodation during a 1 month stay in Japan. Bad value for money.

My wife and I went on an elegant trip using a prefectural resident discount coupon. We made a reservation because we liked the formal Japanese-style building, the fact that the rooms had open-air baths, and the fact that meals were served in the rooms. On the day, we were upgraded and stayed in the "Hijiri" room. We were impressed by how spacious and luxurious it was. The large public bath was in a separate building, but the open-air bath surrounded by greenery was amazing. Dinner was satisfactory in both quantity and quality for a couple in their 60s. (The grilled abalone and boiled golden-eyed snapper were also excellent.) If we had to say one thing, it would be that the noise from other rooms was a bit distracting...
