The hotel enjoys a prime location within the park, making it very convenient to get around by sightseeing tram and boat. The overall design is modern and fresh, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The staff are all very friendly, attentive, and thoughtful; even the housekeeping staff proactively greet guests. The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, which is very refreshing for an evening swim. It would be even more perfect if the breakfast selection were a bit more varied.

Kaiping Guild Hall was our first stop in Jiangmen. The receptionist's warm smile and patient answers gave us a great first impression of Jiangmen. The front desk upgraded us to a Republic-era themed room with a balcony; the room was spacious and uniquely decorated, which the children found fascinating. The Sherlock Holmes books provided in the room were a big hit with the kids! The next day, they provided costumes for the whole family of four and even took a group photo for us. Thumbs up to the lovely ladies and gentlemen at the front desk! 👍 Their service was truly excellent!

The hotel is located in the ancient town of Chikan, and it is convenient to enter and exit. But the hotel's house number is inconspicuous, so I looked for it for a long time. I was surprised that there was no phone number. It was just the tourist phone number of the ancient town, so there was no way to consult. I could only ask people along the way. This is really inconvenient. I hope the front desk can install a phone. For example, if you don't go to the front desk, you don't know that the car should be parked at the north gate. Parking at the south gate will be charged. These warm reminders can actually be put in the booking information. The hotel is a typical Kaiping Diaolou type, which is still very good. The only thing to complain is that there are too many mosquitoes at night! I didn't sleep well all night, there were really many, many mosquitoes!

The hotel is conveniently located near the park entrance. We checked in at the service center, which was surprisingly quick even on a holiday, then took a shuttle bus to the hotel, a fast 3-minute ride. However, upon arrival at the hotel around 2:45 PM, we were informed by the front desk that our rooms weren't ready. Conveniently, the 'Modern Times' venue was right across from the hotel, so we stored our luggage and went to catch a show. After the show, around 3:45 PM, we expected our rooms to be available. To our disappointment, out of the three rooms we booked, only one was ready for us, with the others still being cleaned. So, if you're staying during a holiday, be prepared for possible delays. The 'Kuja Hape Little Train Theme' room itself was spacious, bright, clean, tidy, and thankfully, had no unpleasant odors. It's truly a fantastic themed room for families, complete with toy cars and models that kept the kids thoroughly entertained. My only minor gripes were that the tables were so covered with models, there was hardly any space left for our own things, and the absence of a mini-fridge was a bit inconvenient. Despite these small issues, we were generally happy with the room. Initially, we were meant to have breakfast at the hotel's main restaurant. However, due to the high occupancy on the holiday, we were redirected to a separate group dining area. While staff assured us the breakfast spread would be identical, we quickly discovered a significantly reduced variety, and items were not replenished promptly. Eventually, only a few main dishes and some bread remained. This arrangement felt quite unfair to guests. However, the most unacceptable issue was the complete chaos surrounding the shuttle bus service during check-out. A massive crowd of guests was waiting for the shuttle, yet there were no staff members to manage the queues or provide any direction. This resulted in a dangerous free-for-all, with everyone scrambling for buses and seats, which was particularly alarming given the presence of children and elderly individuals. After numerous complaints, two staff members eventually emerged, stating that additional buses had been arranged. Despite this, no measures were implemented to control the crowd or prevent queue-jumping. We endured a frustrating wait of almost half an hour, watching three to four buses depart before we could finally board one and leave. The hotel's location is a definite plus, being very close to the fire show – it was incredibly convenient to walk back after the evening performance, and other venues were easily accessible too. However, beyond the location, the overall amenities and services fall far short of expectations. Especially during peak holiday periods, significant improvements are desperately needed for breakfast service, shuttle bus management, and staff coordination. Otherwise, the current 'five-star' service simply doesn't justify the hefty price tag of over a thousand yuan per night and will undoubtedly detract from the overall visitor experience of the park.

The room is in the scenic area, and you can take pictures at night and in the morning to make a first-time profit. The room is a bit small, it is the guest room on the second floor, and the street is outside the window, so the sound insulation is a bit awkward. Check-in will be sent to the drama hotel with a battery car for check-in and check-out. Breakfast is also here. The front desk brother is still very enthusiastic. When I checked out, the battery car waited for 20 minutes and didn't arrive, and finally went out with my luggage. This aspect needs to be improved.

The hotel is also very good, the front desk Rifen and other little brothers are in place, there are babies, a lot of luggage, all help to send luggage, there is a very retro and beautiful shuttle bus, great! It is still worth staying for one night. You can enjoy the private space when you don't have too many tourists very late and early for one night, and you don't have to run around. After leaving, everyone is saying that they will come again next time.

We traveled during the off-peak season, so the ancient town was uncrowded, making for a very pleasant and comfortable stroll. The hotel boasts a wonderful setting and is conveniently located not far from the North Gate. After parking, we checked in and then took a shuttle to the hotel, which did take a little time. However, the hotel's location is excellent for exploring, with performances easily reachable on foot. Every corner of the ancient town is a scenic spot, beautifully replicating the fusion of Chinese and Western architecture and atmosphere from the 1920s. The performances were thoughtfully curated, and the stage effects were spectacular. I particularly recommend the Fire Show; the molten iron sparks blooming like fireworks were absolutely mesmerizing!

We originally booked the Rongan Hotel, and the balcony view there was quite good – the first picture shows just how beautiful it was! The scenery of Chikan Old Town is absolutely the best in Guangdong, no doubt! However, upon finding a few small ants in our room, the staff member, displaying an excellent attitude and great professionalism, immediately consulted with their supervisor and went above and beyond to help us switch to a room at Changsheng. A special mention goes to staff member Ma Wenlong. We booked a package deal through Trip.com, which was far more economical than booking the hotel on its own! It included entrance tickets, breakfast, and a boat trip. The performances were absolutely fantastic, with the fire show being the highlight – that alone was worth the price of admission! The only drawback was the intense heat; August in Lingnan is absolutely scorching! Visiting during autumn or winter would offer a much better experience. This place, with its stunning scenery and welcoming atmosphere, is definitely worth a return visit!
