Mediterranean Blue

We were a little unsure of what to expect as Kavos is a well known party resort. In fact Kavos was pretty much shut, but thinking about opening. The Hotel is situated very close to a beautiful private beach with a supermarket close by (also shut). The greeting when we arrived set the tone for the whole week. Penny and her sister Andi were just so welcoming and we were shown to our room. Quite a lot of steps in the quirky layout but the room was spacious and clean with a garden terrace. The food throughout the trip was very good and the service - probably the best in a long time, was sublime. Nothing was too much trouble. Penny and Billy made every evening enjoyable with their generosity. We will miss Pennys lovely smile and Billy’s humour!! We enjoyed the various events, especially the Greek night. We loved it so much and have booked to return in October.

An amazing stay at this hotel, staff are all lovely, welcoming, friendly and extremely accommodating. Was a really nice atmosphere, every night had something on, didn’t want to leave to go home! The place was beautiful, pretty much had our own private beach too. I cannot stress enough how lovely all the staff were.

Amazing hotel and atmosphere, most kind and friendly staff they feel like family, great pool and food, 5 mins from the beach. So that that I recommended my mum and grandad to go there and they went! Such a relaxing holiday, and the hotel can organise anything boat trips, quad bikes etc

We are a family of 4 and have just got back from a week here. Our first impression wasn’t the best as we arrived during the middle of the night to find our room only had 3 beds- I had emailed the week before to double check we would have 4 beds and was told we would have a double and two singles, not the case. We were told they would get a single bed for us for that night as it was late and we can sort the next day. There was hardly any space for the 4th bed but we were so tired from a day of travelling we had no choice. When I spoke to the office about it the next day they apologised but said that’s how it will have to be as everywhere was full. We coped but couldn’t have done it for longer than a week as it was very cramped. The kitchen area was full of ants but did go after a day or two. The bathroom wasn’t great but did the job. The cleaners came in most days to empty the bins and replace towels. The breakfast was ok, we managed to find something every day although did buy some croissants from the shop across the road as our teenagers liked these with the hotel nuttela. The hash browns are really nice but they are alternated so don’t get every day. There are 2 two lovely swimming pools that are well maintained and very clean. Our girls really enjoyed them. We found some of the items on the menu quite expensive but then saying that it was our first time to Corfu so maybe that’s normal. 26€ for 4 portions of fries- seemed a bit dear but they were nice. The hotel are good at arranging trips- we did the waterpark and the blue lagoon trip 45€ each. The blue lagoon was absolutely breath taking and is a must. The waterpark was amazing but it’s really far away and I felt we didn’t have long enough there as we were picked up from the hotel at 10am but didn’t arrive until 1150 then had to be outside ready to go back on the coach 430. We didn’t get to try everything there so was a bit disappointed. I must mention the “courtesy room” for showering if you have a late flight- this was absolutely revolting! It was filthy and stunk really bad, it was like a swamp, water everywhere all over the floor with an overflowing bin. Giving that this would most likely be the last impression of the holiday you would like to think it would be a lot better. There is an outside shower that I would highly recommend. I wish I had taken photos but we were being rushed as people were waiting. Despite a few ******* we did have a lovely holiday and the hotel is ok, it was only a 10 min walk to the ***** and despite the amount of young people that kavos attracts, everyone was well behaved and the Greek people are very welcoming. You will meet Antonio around the hotel or on the beach, he is lovely- our girls really warmed to him. He works very hard and is very genuine. Kavos isn’t for us but lots of me memories made and I’m pretty sure if you have 3* in mind you won’t be too didsapointed.

Think we were just unlucky here. End of season holiday….to be honest, everyone seemed over the season and looking forward to a break. The whole area was bleak and deserted. Overrun by cats and to be honest the hotel seemed in need of a deep clean and some tlc. Sorry, just not for us.

Amazing hotel and very very family friendly. The staff are incredibly friendly! Really pleased with everything and excited to come back 😍. The food was really good, a great mix of tradition greek dishes and club grub, something for everyone!

We had another amazing stay at Med Blue, we could not fault a thing. We always receive the warmest welcome and are well looked after throughout our stay. Penny and the team go above and beyond to make you comfortable. Greek night and the live music nights are not to be missed, they are always a fantastic evening. We will be back again to the best hotel in Kavos!

stayed at the hotel next door but came here for drinks, an event and to book on to an excursion. The staff were quite rude to us (weather that was because we weren't staying there or not I'm not sure). Booked an excursion into Old Town using the last of our money and only got 1 hour in he Old Town. Complained when we got back but the travel guy wasn't there to speak to and staff didn't seem to care. The chef wouldn't leave us alone and kept coming over and bothering us, putting his arm around us and asking us where we were staying and top stay with us. At first it was funny but it kept happening.

Nice location, good food, friendly staff. We found this place by accident and glad we did, I didn't Iike Corfu and this was as isolated as we could find. Very pleasant stay and even returned for another couple of days.
