We’re a family of 5, ranging in age from 7 to 67, and have just returned from our 4th Ikos / 1st Aria holiday. I will run out of superlatives to describe our fortnight at Aria. The minor issues we’d had on previous Ikos holidays were addressed from the outset at Aria and the single / subjective issue we had early on on this holiday was compensated for in spades throughout the rest of this holiday. The customer centric Ikos brand is lived by every member of Aria’s staff at all times - each and every one was focused on ensuring we had the best holiday ever, and they absolutely succeeded in that goal. Karina, Front Office Manager, and I had exchanged emails in advance of our arrival, she made herself known to us on our arrival and on each of her working days, sought us out to check everything was good. There are too many other excellent staff members to name, but they’re everywhere - concierge, reception, bars, restaurants, beach, pools, gardening, housekeeping, mini bar and room service. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them; I hope our gratitude for and respect of them came across in our interactions with them. We had a panoramic sea view suite (1314) and a sea view suite (4201); both were roomy, clean, well stocked, quiet and ideally positioned to enjoy the spectacular views from their balconies, morning and evening. We ate a la carte every evening (twice in each restaurant, I can’t call which was our favourite, they were all brilliant and adequately different from each other) and sampled all the restaurants open at breakfast and lunch, but skipped some meals and also ate at the beach, around the pool and courtesy of room service. Great food and beverage selection and quality everywhere. We also encountered service excellence throughout the resort. We opted out of dine out again, having had a poor experience at Marbella Elix a few years ago. We did, however, enjoy our time out of the resort on the evening cruise and in the Tesla - Zia in particular was a lovely experience and an interesting contrast to Kefalos. The younger members of our party also made good use of the wide range of activities available in resort, and ventured across to Kastri island. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the beautiful beach was, most people seeming to prefer the pools, perhaps because of the public Agios Stefanos beaches at either end and non residents walking from one to the other, not that that bothered us in the slightest. The WhatsApp concierge service was always an efficient yet friendly and personal means of requesting anything, and we also made use of the QR codes in room and at the beach / pools to request food and drinks. The hotel layout, its grounds and views are spectacular and its location is just a short journey away from the airport, which is a key criterion for us. I was concerned that the temperature might be too high, so far south in July, but Kos is blessed with a breeze that makes the heat manageable. The only downsides to o
