Wow. What can I say, this hotel exceeded every expectation. For context, myself and my partner decided to book a last minute getaway for our anniversary. I have had the privilege of going to many five star all inclusive hotels and really wanted to find one that my partner, who had never done this sort of holiday, would love. I was very apprehensive but honestly The Blue Lagoon Village did not disappoint! After reading a mixture of reviews I needed to leave a positive review for the Blue Lagoon Village because it is what it truly deserves. Please do not be put off by any bad reviews, this place really cannot be faulted. A fantastic hotel in a beautiful location that never felt crowded due to its mass amount of facilities and options for food and drink. Super friendly and attentive staff and perfect for couples or families. Very close to the airport but never disrupted by plane noise or traffic. Something for everyone! Hotel & Room: Upon arrival, we had been told that we had been upgraded to a swim up room for our special occasion and a complimentary bottle of champagne was provided. They still allowed us the choice of our original room but the swim up did not disappoint. Room 1616 was a fantastic location, right next to the pool bar and a 5 minute walk to breakfast with a gorgeous view out to sea. We were far enough away to have peace and quiet on an evening but close enough to feel included in the resort. The room was large, spotless and had everything we needed (toiletries, robes, slippers and mini fridge). Staff were cleaning around the resort consistently and could not have been more polite. The greenery and scenic views really make this hotel 5*. Room service came everyday and even when we called to have them come later one day, they arrived within minutes. Having a swim up made our holiday so we could not be more grateful. Food: Reading reviews I found that once arriving at the hotel, it is best to book the restaurants straight away. This was easy to do on the hotel app and I had no problem booking all three of the restaurants. The food was excellent, regularly changing and had something for everyone. Our favourite had to be the Chinese, the food was rich in flavour and loved the mix between buffet and sit down service. The Mythos restaurant was great for lunch time, changing the options daily. The Ocean restaurant was our regular dinner spot, with amazing views out to the beach. Our breakfast at the main restaurant was perfect every day with staff being extremely attentive and evening serving Mimosas one morning! The BBQ restaurant was a really fun experience that we loved. Something different but really added to the whole experience. The Italian was our only thing that we felt slightly lacked but the food was absolutely fine just not as great as all of the other restaurants on the resort but still very nice pizzas. The Crepes and ice cream parlours were perfect for an afternoon snack with plenty of toppings and flavours. The bars

We have had a wonderful stay in Blue Lagoon Village, beautiful views of the sea and mountains. Very clean and great all round service by staff. All pools and pool areas clean. Lots of loungers so not the typical sun lounger rush! We mainly ate in the main restaurants, lots to choose from however having the same food day after day is boring, food lacked flavour and was bland. On-site shop VERY expensive, €45 for large kids swimming float, €5.50 for a bar of chocolate and €5 for a packet of crisps!(Nothing priced). Entertainment was OK, nothing special or exciting mostly in house entertainment (entertainers were great but again the same singing and dancing every night) for a 5* resort we expected more however ‘Rock journey’ show was brilliant!

Firstly, it's not Sani or Ikos, but anyone (i.m.o) giving less than 4 stars is being massively harsh. Secondly, it's called a village for a reason - The place is huge! Positives - Massive pools so never feels too busy, beach location (lots of fish to see), very clean, a la carte restaurants, lovely staff, sports area, adventure land, buggies, entertainment. Negatives - No fridge in room, all inclusive drinks are pretty average, booking a la carte restaurants (get busy!), €50 deposit to play mini golf. For me, it's not 5 star luxury, however, it's a very very pleasnt 4 star family resort and would definitley return. Please don't let the poor reviews put you off, those people clearly have a gripe!

Amazing family holiday!! Myself and my husband have just got back from our family holiday with our 3 year old and 8 month old. We requested a ground floor quiet room (1407) and thought the room was wonderful. It was over looking a quiet pool with a few minutes walk to breakfast. There was no rush for sun beds or towels on sun beds as there was plenty for everyone. So nice not to wake up and see all the sun beds taken. The main pools had more lively music and a good vibe but we preferred the quiet pool. It seemed like there was something for everyone here so put down a request if you’d rather a quiet room, or one by the main pool. It was super hot whilst we were there so we took advantage of calling for Club cars instead of walking if we were going to lunch, the beach or Adventureland. The club car drivers were fantastic and always so helpful. The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained, the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are all absolutely fantastic, literally all of them were wonderful and always so helpful. My daughter loved the evening mini disco - the animation team do a wonderful job. I’d seen a few moans on here regarding the food but I honestly have no idea why they are moaning. We enjoyed all our meals, the kids happily ate at every meal, we ate by the pool or the two lunch restaurants as well as the Italian and breakfast and dinner buffet and thought all the food was lovely. I don’t know what people expect when it’s a buffet but it’s very much the same as all the other 5 star resorts we’ve stayed in. For the kids Adventureland was great fun, there’s two parks that my daughter enjoyed as well as the mini disco each evening. We had such a wonderful family holiday here so thank you to the hotel for making it so special. We also loved the baby shaded pool at adventure, it was always fairly quiet and great not to have to worry about the sun being on my son. All the staff work so hard and to us it really showed!! Please ignore the bad reviews, they are not justified.

After a bad experience in the blue lagoon resort we were transferred to blue lagoon village Beautiful modern resorts room was lovely (7517) balcony huge only downside to room was 2 single beds pushed together. This hotel should have an adult only pool as 89% of guests had children. About 90% of guests are German. Large child area with slides/pools but many families used the other pools instead. Hotel inside and out is spotless all the staff from gardeners cleaners restaurants etc are lovely and very friendly and helpful. Chinese and Italian lovely but don’t expect them to be anywhere near what you used too but it’s ok. Wine is lovely Food plenty of choice hit and tasty the ocean is by far best day or evening The biggest disappointment is the week spirts so cheap and week it’s unreal the beer is flat and 3% Pool bar lovely hard working staff Donalda he was lovely so efficient. Location is middle of nowhere so taxi or trips 45 mins to Kos down (50euros) The hotel deserves the 5 star platinum

Given the mixed reviews of late and this being our first all inclusive holiday we were a little apprehensive. All I can say is that we had no need to be. The hotel and holiday was genuinely brilliant - so much so we're actually looking to return next year. For context we travelled as a family of 4 with 2 young children aged 4 and 6. We booked with Tui and opted for the 2 bedroom family room with front sea view. We arrived late on the Saturday (11.30pm) due to an afternoon flight from Dublin and upon arrival we were offered a meal and drinks. Really friendly front desk who then arranged for a buggy to take us to our room. The two bedroom family rooms are very large, lots of space and ideal if you have children. I highly recommend the front sea view rooms as the views are incredible and you're right by the large pool and the beach. In fact, when you open the sliding doors you can hear the sea breaking on the beach. The rooms are fairly simple otherwise, very comfortable beds, modern bathrooms (with separate bath and shower) and plenty of wardrobe space. The complex itself is first class. Lots of big pools, splitting out more lively activity pools from more relaxing adult focused pools. There are bars spread out everywhere so you're never too far from getting a drink, with the added benefit of waiters in several places coming by every 5mins to bring you drinks at the pool side. The water park is great for the kids - not too big but plenty for them to do and play in. Plus it's set at the end of the complex so it doesn't intrude on the rest of the hotel. The beach is also very nice, although it is very rocky and slippery, so if you want to swim you do need to use the jetty. What I quite liked is the fact there were plenty of sunbeds throughout the hotel and pool sides, which weren't crammed together row after row like you see in some resorts. The food is very good. I did see a few reviews ahead of time that critiqued the food and so I was pleasantly surprised. The buffets are huge, lots of choice, good quality, lots of very tasty dishes and I would say something for everyone. At times it did feel a bit repetitive but in all fairness it would be challenging for any restaurant with that extensive a choice to offer something completely new every time (esp. when eating there for 14 meals across lunch and dinner during a given week). You also have the choice of different buffet restaurants (the one by the beach is smaller but the best IMO) and a couple of a la carte options. Children's choice is a bit more limited, especially if your kids are used to fast food or may be fussy (ours didn't like the cereal options for example), but otherwise for ours there was still plenty of choice and they were more than happy. Desserts were especially good - in particular their baclava. Drinks are also good; plenty of cocktail choice covering most favorites (all served with garnishes and presented nicely) and wine / beer / soft drinks are also included. There are a h

We have literally just returned from a week long stay as a group of 16, 8 adults & 8 kids aged 4-7. I really cannot really fault anything. The hotel is brilliantly catered towards families. A huge array of pools to chose from, great entertainment, beautifully maintained grounds and good food. I wasn’t expecting Michelin starred food, neither am I fussy eater, but I ate well all week. A great selection of salads and grilled meat/fish. Kids loved the pizza & fresh fruit, as well of course as the endless ice cream and crepes available. The cocktail menu was extensive, my only request would be to include aperol as part of the AI. I think the only thing, which I guess can’t be helped is that the beach is quite rocky and kids definitely need beach shoes if they want to explore as the rocks are SO slippery. All in all we had a brilliant week, I wish we’d had 10 days and I would recommend the hotel in a heartbeat to other families.

We came to Blue Lagoon as two families with young children. We had a fantastic time! We had a family room very close to the central pool, mini market and several restaurants. The room was spacious and convenient with a nice shaded balcony. There was a great variety of pools, including some quieter than others. There was also a pool/slide complex on the outskirts of the resort “Adventureland” which was a big hit with the 2 and 4 year olds in our party. (It’s a golf-buggy ride away but there are plenty driving around for this purpose) Food was pretty good! There was a lot of variety to suite all tastes and dietary requirements. We had a couple of food allergies in our party but the labelling system next to each dish was clear. We sent our little one to the crèche 10:00-12:00 on a couple of days. It was £15 a time. He had fun and each session had a theme and seemed well thought out. Our friends sent their older child to Kids Club (free) which she thoroughly enjoyed. The kids disco was also a massive hit with all the little ones.
